So I let my insane jealousy of my 4 yo get the best of me and I permed my hair!! I was bored and wanted a change and Julia has been telling me more and more she wants her hair straight like mine - I decided it would be better to make mine curly like hers - so Dawn you are getting your wish and can see a curly haired mom for Julia!! :teeth: I also think having curly hair is more believable for me now that I have Julia!!

Here you can see my crocs - AND I would like to point out that NONE of these pictures were taken at the front door!!!

Not me I am sick of cookies, especially the Girl Scout cookies and still have boxes of them to sell. Since I was in charge of the cookie sale they are sitting here and I have no desire to eat them.

I will however take a bag of twizzlers.

Becky

I, too, am sick of GS cookies. When you have two GS's you have to buy from equally....somehow we ended up with over 20 boxes and the ones we had the most of are my hubbys favorites...works for me less temptation to eat em.

I have a craft room in my house now- with my stuff spread out everywhere and I still haven't touched it in over a month!! :rotfl2:

I haven't been doing my job as official motivator for the DDA motivation and support thread obviously. I'll have to get on that over the week-end. :lmao:

Me too! I had to do the 6 hour glucose test! Yuck!!! :scared:

I did too! :crazy2: It was terrible. I mean, come on, a fasting pregnant woman! Not a good idea...I went a little overboard after the test trying to catch up. Of course, I left for Disney the next day so at least I had some late minute planning to keep myself busy in the waiting room.

Carli is going to see a performance of Peter Pan w/ my MIL tomorrow night!!! She is So excited!!! This is her first time actually going to see a play in a theatre, I hope she does OK, I will be making sure she gets a nap tomorrow for sure.

It's funny because she keeps seeing a commercial for this play and she seems very concerned that Peter Pan is being played by a woman--I think I would be more concerned if Tinkerbell was played by a man!!!!! :rotfl2:

Last year, we went to see Cathy Rigby in Peter Pan. It was a wonderful performance. The original version of the Peter Pan movie was done by Mary Martin. I don't know of any actual theatrical versions that have a man as Peter Pan because they need to look like a boy and it is very difficult for a man to do that! They are very believable as Peter Pan!!!!

I am very lucky that DH has no qualms about this!! It just seems like a no-brainer to me - permanent birth control for a woman is so invasive - why would men want us to risk our health and well being when they can easily have it done in a doctor's office?

I'm with you on that one Kate!!!!! However, men are very particular about their manhood and somehow that is tied to their manhood. I never quite understood it. We have a permanent solution, it wasn't me, but I'm not allowed to tell anybody about the permanent solution.

Hey Julie -

are all systems go?

Are you getting the same flights as me?

I asked some of the parents of the kids that I babysit for about taking off tonight. Most of them were like go ahead a take as much time as you need, but I do have 2 oddballs that I am waiting to hear if they can find alternate childcare or not :sad2: !!! I try to give everybody ample notice about days off and type up schedules way in advance so I feel like I need to at least not book anything until I hear, hopefully they will let me know for sure tomorrow!!!

I need to book it ASAP, because Dave is starting to freak out again!!! First he just said he was worried about the money, then when his butt was in the dog-house for a few days he said that I deserve to take a trip away from everything more than anyone that he knows. So then I get psyched all over again and tonight he starts in again about how "weird" it is to be going w/ people I hardly know :sad2: , and what am I going to tell people (ie. his mom & dad) about where I am going and who I'm going w/ :rolleyes2 !!! Then Carli asked where I was going (I was just going to tell everyone I was going to Florida, why do I need to say anymore, I know that the kids will be upset) and he says really sarcastically "She's going to Disney-without us" :furious: . If he thinks that this is going to make me not want to go he is so wrong!!! He also said (because he finally figured out that it is the same weekend as the festival), I just don't know what I will do w/ the kids that weekend if you are gone :sad2: !!! Excuse me but I have been dealing w/ this festival for 10 years now, I think one year he can be a little inconvenienced for a change!!!

Mark my words I will be going on this trip no matter what!!!!

I do plan on booking the same flights as you, it was $372.00 today through Travelocity. Dave also asked me today if the flight is booked through Delta and they go on strike and file for bankruptcy do we get our money back and or get booked on an alternate flight??? Have you heard anything about this???

By the way the 22nd works for us, just let me know when, where, and what time, and what to bring!!!!

as someone who failed the glucose test - let me tell you it is a WALK in the park compared to a pregnancy without ice cream!! The night I realized that there was just no way no how - I sat down at my kitchen table, put my head down and sobbed!!!!!

DH was very sweet and arrived at the hospital when I was allowed to start eating again with my favorite ice cream in hand!!

The day I took my glucose test I was so worried I wouldn't pass so I promptly went to the Cheesecake Factory and had 3 slices of cheesecake for lunch!! (Did I mention I gained more than 60 lbs when I was pregnant- wonder how that happened!! :rotfl2: ) That night I was so sick from drinking that stuff and eating all that cheesecake! but I passed the test!!!

I had to do the 6 hour fasting test too!!! It was horrible!!! To top it off I had to go to a good friends wedding right afterwards, so I was starving!!! I can't believe I didn't pass out at the mass!!!

We had the same problem except before I had girls in GS, we would buy 20 boxes to freeze for the year. By the time we would run out, it would be time for a new cookie sale. Then I had the girls in scouts. We ended up buying about 40 boxes. Then I was the cookie chairperson for the troop and I ended up with the leftovers (just couldn't sandle the girls with them) of about 60 boxes. Then I was the area cookie chairperson and I ended up with about 90 boxes one of those years. I gave them as gifts throughout the year. One freezer had nothing but cookies in it.

This year, we ordered 10 boxes.

Delta says the flight is operated by another airline - so I actually think that is a good thing - maybe I should call and find out!!

Don't book it on travelocity - they had higher fees - book it as a one way on Delta's site and a one way on Airtran
