And Vicki, why in the world do you fear the Queen?!!! She can't really banish you silly!

Amy :)

I notice you didn't say anything about yourself!!! Does that mean I'm right to fear you??!! :rotfl2:

maybe we are just old now!!

DH and I went and saw that movie with Jennifer Love Hewitt in it and she was graduating and the guy wanted to tell her he loved her at the graduation party - did anyone else see it?

we loved it b/c it had that classic feel about it but we definately raised the median age!!

I loved - Can't buy me love and Ferris Bueller

and of course - no self respecting girl who graduated from HS in 1990 can't quote Dirty Dancing word for word!!!!

Nobody puts Baby in a corner!

That is the best movie ever. Just to see Patrick Swayze shirtless. Yum!

We had 2 girls in our nursing class this year who reloacted from NO. They described it quite well, in saying that it shouldn't be considered "a southern most US city", but "a northern Caribbean city". not just accent, but everything about the area.... I thought that was a good way to put it!

That's like Florida. Florida is very much a northern state but slowed down. But that is because no one is originally from there. Everyone is a transplant into the state and originally from somewhere else.

When I lived down there I probably met about 50 people who were originally born and grew up in Florida and never lived elsewhere. Makes for a very interesting culture. Especially of people who can't drive because everyone learned to drive elsewhere. :rotfl2:

Sorry I missed the 80's posting party..I was down for the count a 9pm. Got my son's sinus infection & soar throat..ugh..I hate being sick.

I graduated HS in 1986 & college in 92. This year is our 20 year HS reunion! Can't believe it's been 20 years since HS & I don't know if I even want to go or not. DH doesn't..he & I were in HS school together.

Denise, Go in September!!! They will not be missing out in Kindergarten! I took mine out "off peak" times & it was great..now that my oldest will be in 5th grade this fall the party is over! I have to go in the summer or school breaks now so thats why we are going the very last week of August (they go back in Ny after Labor Day) I am glad we went to Disney so many times off season because it made the trips so much more enjoyable. Don't stress!

Me too! (from college) I was married in 1990. Now I'm feeling very old.
:sad2:

You guys are going to give me a complex! You and Deb both with your "I'm feeling very old" knowing that I'm several years older than both of you. You guys are young spring chickens because I'm not old and I'm sticking to that!!!!!!!!! You can't convince me otherwise!!!!! (Is there a smiley that sticks his tongue out or says NaNaNaaNa?). :p (ETA: Thanks Tammi)
