Hmmm...I hadn't thought of that. We do have the internet camera thing....

We want to see - we want to see!! Bring it with you!!

Good night, everyone! I've got to get off the computer and read 8 lectures for one of my classes. Have I mentioned that I'll be glad when this semester ends?

Dawn, would you believe I'm two episodes behind on Lost and three on Grey's Anatomy?!!! :sad2:

Amy :)
Oh, Lost has been really good (especially last week). You just need to stop and watch it!

GA has been really good too. There were some reruns for both recently, so maybe you're not as far behind as you think.

Kevin looks quite good in tights! :thumbsup2

Can you believe he refused to wear them to be Peter Pan, but he was willing to wear a nightgown (to be John Darling) instead?!! :teeth:

Really going to bed now...I'm obviously slap-happy!

Amy :)

P.S. Baloo...sending you :wizard: because I think I forgot to post :grouphug: for you, Mr. Wilson, and Erich yesterday!

Good night all - good to see you back again Kevin - come around any time!

Wow! Someone who's heard of USF!!! My father is the founder of the Festival, Fred Adams. He and my mom thought it all up back in 1961, and then worked to bring it about. 45 years later, it's still running, and doing better than ever. My husband does all of the commercials for them, and does archival video of all the shows.

What did your friend do at USF? If you have an interest you should definitely come check us out! It's an incredible place, but then maybe I'm biased! Naw!

I, too, am grateful for how this group sticks together. I was gone when you joined, so let me just say welcome, and I can't wait to try your cake recipe. I'm making it for my family this Sunday. We always have a big dessert in the evening while we watch our family movie. Your cake sounds so yummy that I put it on the top of my list of things to try.

His name is Chuck Clay, he was a carpenter during the 2003 season I think (it might have been 2002), and he loved it. He and his wife now live in Florida but he still talkes about how much he enjoyed that summer. I thought about applying there the summer right out of undergrad a scenic artist but was planning my wedding and didn't want to have to do that long distance. Someday, if I can ever take an extended leave from work, I really want to spend a summer there or Santa Fe Opera as scenic artist. My DH could even come, he's a sound tech and works for Barbizon Lighting. Of course, having done 2 shows in the last 2 years getting hired might be hard! :rolleyes1 Oh well, I'll get back in the swing of things eventually. I got my degree in order to become an Imagineer...I'm starting to think Grad School is in order soon.

I hope you guys enjoy that cake. It is seriously excellent.

Nice meeting you Glynis!!!! :cheer2:

And now since I'm such a picture-posting-expert, I will post some birthday party pictures! :teeth:

fordisthegames.jpg

Two of the games: I was really impressed with Kevin's hard work! Unfortunately I did not take "before" pictures, and the tape destroyed some of the "Pin the Nose on JoJo" game.

Did Kevin made these??? Even the characters or are these store-bought party decorations?? Wow, they are great!! Could you share a little bit about how you get this done?

Promise that you'll let us know? It's fun to get excited for other people's impending births. I'm so thrilled for you and for Amy and for Angela, too. I keep you all in my prayers for a healthy pregnancy and delivery. Boy, if you all lived closer to me, you'd have freezers full of casseroles, etc., for after the delivery. I love to help out with new babies. When I was pregnant with the twins, my DSIL threw me a "dinner shower." I had tons of clothes, etc., so she invited everyone to bring a dinner frozen that I could just pop in my freezer and have on hand. It was so helpful! Those first few weeks after the twins were born, I was so sleep deprived that it was nice not to have to think about cooking.
Of course I'll tell my DDA family as soon as I get home!

I wish we lived closer too! You sound like so much fun and from what you've posted before your cooking sounds incredible!

Okay, since everyone has been so good at offering dining advice today, now I need help!!

I have one or two dinner spots that I can fill. I was hoping to try 'Ohana and/or Whispering Canyon this year. However, I was starting to lament not having Chef Mickey's worked in there somewhere. What order would you put these three?

My other plans include, but are subject to change: LeCellier, Norway Breakfast, Crystal Palace (breakfast and/or dinner), Boma (finally, I hope!), Hollywood & Vine (if they start a new breakfast), LTT, 50's Prime Time. Any thoughts here also recommended.
I have also been missing not having Chef Mickey's worked into my schedule. It sounds like so much fun. So does Whispering Canyon. We can only fit so many restaurants in. :confused3 I had asked about adding a few days on DH looked at me funny. Oh well. Next time, I will try the places we couldn't this time. :teeth:

Kristin your designs are so cute & Clare I love your graphics! Great jobs ladies :thumbsup2

Sorry for the P3 everyone!

Amy, the party turned out great! I can tell you and Kevin put tons of thought and work into it but it paid off! You did a great job on the cakes, too!

Julie and Kate, you're both gorgeous and the picture is not unflattering at all. I've told Kate this before, but before the DDA I saw her posts on the CB with pictures of Julia and Nick in her signature and I've always had her pictured as having dark eyes and dark, curly hair. I'm still confused every time I see a picture of her.

Legalslave, I know the DDA ladies will miss you this summer but I bet you and your granddaughter will have a wonderful time together! The DDA will just have to schedule another meet because I can't go in July!! Maybe the DDA WDW trip will have to become an annual event :thumbsup2

Hello! Exhaustion is finally catching up with me, because this morning I woke up with dizziness and morning sickness! :sad2: I thought I was way past that. I started to feel better as the day went on, but I've had a perpetual headache that won't go away no matter how many Tylenol I take. Hopefully this is a one day thing!

Clare, I'm glad you are finally feeling better...here's some :wizard: for Paul to be on the mend soon, but kudos to him for going to Matt's opening night! Break a leg Matt! :woohoo: Jennifer, still waiting to hear about your interview...hopefully, you're out to dinner celebrating. Theresa, here's a :grouphug: for you! And Glynis, welcome back! Here's a big :wave2: for everyone else too...hope I didn't miss anything, but I can blame it on my pregnancy brain if I did! ;)

All of your dining talk is making me crazy! There's no way we can go for free dining, since Matthew will be so young, but having come off a budget trip, I really missed eating the GOOD food! We did find some good counter service though...some of our favorites are: Electric Umbrella, Sunshine Seasons at the Land, Fish and chips at the England walk-up place, Cosmic Rays, Columbia Harbour House, Pinocchio's Village Haus, and Tusker House. I am a firm believer that there is no good counter service at the Studios, but Pizza Planet is tolerable.

I'm going to start organizing some pictures now, and maybe Kevin will start posting, after he watches American Idol, of course!

Amy :)
:wizard: Try to get plenty of rest so you feel better soon. I know this is hard with a toddler. ;) So hopefully Kevin's home this week-end so you can rest up. Your photopass pictures were so cute. I had to look closely to see if you were showing in some of the pictures. :teeth: You looked great.

I do have a clear runny nose, so it could very well be allergies. Bleh!

We opened some of Alyssa's new toys, but not the "big" things (like her new kitchen set) since it seems silly to unpack it all, only to have to pack it all up in a couple months. She's loving all her new stuff, that's for sure! :goodvibes

The one young married couple (friend of the family) hasn't contacted us, so that's discouraging. However, another woman I used to work with has expressed interest! I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but this house would be perfect for her and her 4th grade daughter. They're coming over for dinner on Saturday! Our financing did get approved to buy the new house yesterday! :cheer2:

Amy :)
:wizard: That you can get your house sold soon. And congratulations on the financing.

Ok, hope I don't miss anything or anyone. Just finished reading everything.

Jen, WTG on the interview. Nurse internship sounds perfect.
Kristine, love the shirt. Where's the pic of the blue mammaries? :earseek:
Amy, wonderful b'day pics. And I'm glad to see the DDA gang! And congrats on the financing.
Lindsay, hugs to you for your job. I'm hoping that someone qualified to help you will walk in your door soon~!
June, see you booked a Free Dining trip. It should be awesome!

Hope I didn't miss anyone. Night all. See ya tomorrow.

Yes, you did! Break a leg, Matt. BTW, here's my 3 Little Pigs when they were just over one year old. They HATED the hoods, but they were so cute!

We're wearing Kristin's shirts for our trip. Me-Daisy, BK-Minnie, John- Goofy, Rees- Donald, Davis-Mickey. I think they'll look great together!

That's for sure. We moved into our current house when I was just 3 months away from the arrival of the twins. It was so exhausting! Take lots of breaks for naps (and Chick-fil-A). Don't try to do too much, either. Let people come in and help you pack up! I'm sure you could find a few kind Cincinntians who would love to help you.
Definitely, don't try to do too much. We moved across country, IA to Or, when I was 5 months pregnant with our second. I ended up doing too much and we had to stop midway at an ER, can't remember which state, because I was already having contractions. We had to hole up in a hotel room an extra day and a half so I could stay laying down until they stopped. Luckily, it wasn't too serious just a reminder to take it easy.

Falling asleep at the computer. Well, at this rate, I'll never catch uop.

Nite nite :goodvibes
