So our house guest is here...she is so sweet .

We took her to the grocery store so she could see what it was like.

I let her pick out oranges, a juice, ice cream and cookies. She looked up a word in her japanese/english dictionary and she called me generous.

I told her she couldn't all the sweets tonight

Something's weird with the signatures. If I go into edit mine, it has a link to my designs and a ticker. When I save it, it doesn't put anything past the Mickey/Minnie pic. Very strange. I wonder if they think I'm linking to a site the DIS doesn't like?

I think they recently changed their signature parameters...it won't allow you to go beyond their set limit

So after parasailing we headed towards Serenity Bay.

We happened upon the International Crab races, these crabs come from all over the world to race and are between baseball and softball sized

We continued a bit more and decided to stop at Cookies BBQ for lunch

We had never eaten here, last time we ate at Serenity Bay. There were lines for the buffet lines on the front, but off to the right hand side of the building there were 2-3 other foods lines with no wait

Corn on the cob, I think Mahi Mahi Sandwich, tomato salad and cous cous

Yummy fruit and a chocolate chip cookie

what could be better then that? Cookie dough soft serve ice cream. Did I have any with my lunch nope

I could eat this stuff for lunch everyday and be a happy camper

Elin - what has your family decided to do for Christmas this year?

Well, we are going to be here in the house for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. But, I think we are going to make reservations in DC for a couple of nights the weekend before. We will take the train up to Union Station and check into one of the hotels up near the White House or the Mall.

We can see the Pageant of Peace and the National Christmas Tree, which I haven't seen in a number of years (since our group stopped singing for it, actually) and do the museums and a night tour of DC on the trolley or something like that. We just have to pick a hotel now!

strange thing is I went back to the user CP and got rid of everything except the piture

When I switched computers about 30 minutes ago, I noticed that the red X was gone on my laptop... but it is back again! I was thinking maybe it was a leftover cookie that needed to be deleted when I dumped all my internet cache, but apparently not.

I noticed that my signature picture changes from laptop to PC and is also dependent on which browser I am using (I use Firefox, IE and AOL). Just weird!

Rees update:

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and it was such a blessing to finally be home together as a family. It is very nice to report that Rees is making progress! He has been able to eat real food that is literally cut up as finely as possible. It gets stuck about twice a day where he has to vomit it up, but he is so much happier not being limited to ice cream, pudding, and popsicles! They are literally baby steps, but at least we're finally going forward.

He doesn't like the feeding tube, and it upsets him at night. So please pray that he is less stressed by it and will sleep more soundly. He is still exhausted and is sleeping around 14 hours a night or more. Tomorrow he starts the Hospital Homebound school program here at the house. He will get instruction 3 hours per week from his Special Ed teacher from Big Creek. Rees will be out of school until after the Christmas holidays. I am going back to work teaching preschool starting tomorrow. John is going to work from home on Tues and Fri, and I'll be home with Rees on Mon, Wed, Thursday.

We have been trying small outings with him. Yesterday we went to see Enchanted which the kids loved, and today he went to Physical and Occupational therapy. He handled it well, but a couple of hours a day of activity is the max for him at the moment. Thank you so much for the prayers and support.

Oh, and you know that we are all (especially me) Christmas fanatics. I'm happy to report the entire inside and outside of the house is completely decorated!!!
