So today is the last full day on the Disney Magic for this cruise. Just not my last day because I have another week on the Magic left to go. :cloud9: :thumbsup2

So today was our parasailing day. I have wanted to go parasailing on my WOnder cruise they actually totally canceled it on my first cruise. Well it was
cancelled and then reinstated and then we were told again we weren't going and then told it was on again. They called us on the ship saying we were going but we never received tickets until we called and requested them but we were still uncertain about whether or not we were going to be able to go because they were calling for not so great weather. Well more about whether or not I go parasailing later.

First I got up that morning and headed to Topsiders for breakfast. Castaway Cay Yep, that's right no change of clothing or getting dressed because DISer's were having a PJ breakfast at Topsiders. When I got up to Deck I was happy to see we were already docked at one of my favorite places.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I think the meet was at 7am. I know it was early so we could all get out and enjoy Castaway Cay

Oh yeah Stitch and Mickey were going to and they were dressed in their PJ's as well. I literally look half asleep as well. I must have been because I don't have any pictures of the actual meet.

I am hoping for a much better birds eye view in the near future.

It was a good time and there were about 15 of us there in our PJ's. After they meet we headed back up to the room to slather on sunscreen, change into our clothing for parasailing and to gather our gear for the day at Castaway Cay. Our gear included snorkels and masks, cameras, sunscreen, etc we did not bring the fins along this trip, we left our booties to go with our fins on the ship as well. With the hopes we wouldn't need them.

The last time I was on Castaway Cay we dragged two full sets of masks, fins, booties, snorkels, diving skins and other stuff out to Serenity Bay. That stuff gets heavy and we decided we didn't need the fins. The would be nice but are heavy to carry long distances.

We eventually head off the ship.

Our Parasailing tickets tell us to meet at Marge's Barges at 10am. We get there early check in and wait until they call us.

We are broken into two groups, each of the groups goes on a different boat. Before we can get on the boat we must take off our shoes and leave them on the dock. In the back of my mind I keep thinking that someone is going to take our shoes and run them up a flagpole or something like you see on a movie.

We sit down and they go over some basic safety info as we head away from the dock.

Here are the gifts I received from Bernadette.

Here are the gifts I received from Tom.

I immediately had to have the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough piece of candy :lmao:

Thank you both so very much. Tom, I know you made the pillow. It is so very special.

I am glad you got it. Yes, I made the pillow! I was trying to compensate for my being late in sending out the ornaments! I am glad you like it! Use it to prop up your sore foot!:goodvibes

So which of you in Texas is getting the Colorado snow???:scared1:

We haven't gotten above freezing since Tuesday but only got a smidge of snow. They say some of Texas is under snow warning...with our snow!!

Please bear with me as I coordinate pictures from Land and sea. I took my old camera into the air with me, when I went parasailing. Yes, we both got to go. Although I think I kept wishing for such good weather that it was not very windy, so we could not go up as high, as if it would have been slightly windy. You want some wind but not tons, to have the best flight.

Before I knew it, it was time for suit up to go, 4 people went before me. Two of them were kids who flew together.

You have to sit down on the boat deck and then they speed up and away you go

Up, up and away you go

My view from the air, it was so peaceful and calm up there and not jerky at all. We were both probably up about 600 feet, but they can go up to 1,000 feet depending on the weather conditions

I would go parasailing again in a heartbeat, although it is pricey. It is such a unique and serene way to view the world.

It snowed on us on Thanksgiving! DS was sitting next to me and he pointed it out. We were all stunned! It didn't stick, of course, and it only snowed for a little while. We are supposed to get cold rain through tomorrow and I guess maybe into Monday.

Bernadette - Swimming in a skirt, huh? I wouldn't have the patience for that! The one tankini I bought has a skirty thing on the bottom but in the water it floats up - very annoying.

Becky - LOVE the pics! I need to parasail next summer.:) I hope you get some rest tomorrow! I think you can safely skip ONE roller skating event. I hate oil changes. DH is always pestering me to stay on top of things like that but it is just such a pain! I had to stop at the gas station today and get air in all 4 tires. There was some sort of warning light I have never seen before and it turned out to be for tire pressure.

Terry - You got some great stuff!:thumbsup2 How is your sister doing with her new pup? DS is VERY interested in that dog!:rotfl: Paula Abdul was on TV with her chihuahua and it made him think of your sister.

It was an awesome experience. Now I definitely want to go sky diving, it has been on my list of things to do for years and now I want to go even more.

As for the oil, I think I have put over 3,000 miles on in the last month. I have been driving my normal 70 miles a day, almost everyday plus some days of 100 or more and some of 200 miles or more. I am happy I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow. My car and I need a break.

My sister just loves her puppy. She is so sweet and cute. She is the ultimate cuddle bunny :goodvibes

Ottawa is a beautiful city! Do Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving the same time as us in the US?

The answer to this question is no, it's celebrated at a slightly different time. However, I'm in a much smaller US town called Ottawa, that is not NEARLY as exciting. :)

Thank goodness you all only posted a few pages.... it took 45 minutes on this piece of crap computer to get through it -- and about 3 minutes for this sentence to show up.

We're leaving very shortly, much earlier than anticipated. I'll get there in a minute, first "the reveal".

As expected, my MIL was a nutcase. As somewhat expected, she wanted to IMMEDIATELY tell everyone she knew, to which we promptly told her we were NOT telling people yet, it's entirely too early, etc. Well before she could finish her dinner, RIGHT in front of us, she went to the phone. She said "I won't tell them it's 2, I'll just say you're expecting and it's still early". Kyle asked her not to, and yet she then called all 4 local relatives. Oh, and the first words out of her mouth with each were "Jennifer and Kyle are having TWO BABIES!" :headache:

***?! I was ticked, but trying to freaking finish dinner. Well before dessert even, many of them had called back with questions. One had OBVIOUSLY said, from her side of the conversation, that it was early and she was surprised we were telling anyone yet. To which my MIL promptly replied, "Well they are very excited". EXCUSE ME?!?!? WE have really showed NO excitement this early, and #($*@# told you not to tell anyone.

This was so small, but pissed me off even more since I was already reeling. MIL had asked all sorts of questions (mostly, it was all we talked about the entire dinner) and so I had told her - mostly so she'd drop it - that I am sick from about 11am until bedtime every day, that my migraines are in full force, blah blah blah. Mostly, described to her that yes, I feel like **** and I'm not really interested in this conversation right now.

So what does she tell everyone, repeatedly? "Oh, Jen feels great -- they are just so excited".

Needless to say, I went to bed fairly early. Kyle came in and apologized for her behavior, but it doesn't change it. This morning, I'm just feeling guilty that all I could think of while trying to fall asleep is how to NOT involve her in anything else with this pregnancy until I absolutely have to. :guilty:

So, that was fun.

But this is even better ....

At 4:30am, she's up getting ready for work and wakes both of us up. Apparently, she let my dog (8 pounds, don't forget!) outside while she was showering without really watching. She's usually great with her, but apparently she forgot something important. They live in, well, pretty much the middle of nowhere in a farmtown, so they have rodents in the yard and fields -- possums, field mice, etc. Of course they don't want these creatures hanging around house (obviously), so they have rodent poison all around the outside of the house, which my dog ingested a large portion of.

So, we called the poison control center, they told us to watch for her to bleed out, etc and then we called her vet. She wants to see her when they open today for a Vitamin K administration (she should be fine, but we aren't in the clear for about 4-5 days).

Great times, huh?

And then just for fun, MIL tells me with great joy this morning, that she's so excited to take her announcement to work to show everyone.

:faint: :furious:

Becky - I am loving your DCL TR! My favorite photo? The one of your toes getting ready to touch down! very cute...

Jennifer - WOW! Your MIL is a piece of work. I hope you get to leave there very, very soon. Next time, maybe try heading to Ottawa, Canada! ;)

I am going to ditto this!

Terry love the gifts you received!

Good morning, DDA!

Jennifer - Oh, my! You get to be in the "aren't families fun?" club, too! I am so sorry about your dog!:guilty: I hope she will be OK! Your MIL is a bonehead. I hope you can avoid her.

I love all the new holiday signatures, so I thought I would join in on the fun.

Elizabeth, while we were at the Christmas party I bought some pins, for every $30 dollars you spend you can buy one Pin trading around the World pin for $1. Not a bad price for a trader, I kept mine though.

Jen-I am sorry you are in the same club quite a few of us are in....IL's are a piece of work. I hope your dog is just fine. I agree with Deb go to Canada next time you have to go to Ottowa.
