The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 31

I am working too, all I have to take to sil's is corn pudding(Gary has to have his corn lol) & dessert. My friend at work is making a pumpkin pie & a dump cake for me(yep I cheated, no baking for me ). She makes the best pie crust I have ever tasted Actually my oven heats to hot & baking can be a little tricky sometimes.

I'm on-call so I have to work.
At least I don't have to cook.
Going over to my friends house.
I'm bringing the pies.
I can't believe I paid $20. for 3 pies.
They had better be some D** good pies.
Now if I can just get someone to page me
when it's time to clean up the dishes.

The kids are watching Santa Claus 2 & giggling their heads off.
Dana went to bed, the poor guy is sick. He never has a minute to rest so I insisted ne try to get to bed early.

Maybe I need to send him to Disney alone to come back refreshed!!!

Oh I forgot to say..Sophie was picked to be the lead angel at out Christmas pageant at church. She is soooo excited, she gets to sing.

YAY Sophie!

I hope Dana isn't too sick to enjoy turkey tomorrow.

We call those pecan tassies here! I just finished making the pumpkin and pecan pies. Sorry, Heidi! They are both cooling. Also made the brine for the chickens! All set until tomorrow morning.

That's what my mom calls them too. Although she is cheap and puts walnuts in them.

Jen just called and she will be staying at the hospital along with her mother tonight. Her grandfather just had a seizure and his breathing is labored. They think that he will pass tonight and the family is praying for that at this point. He hasn't been conscious for any length of time since Sunday. She wanted everyone to know that she is ok and that your support means so much to her. She will update me with any changes later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Dana cooks the turkeys around here. One year I decided to do it. I not only left the whole bag of giblets in, I cooked it upside down on its breast. Dana went to look at it in the oven after a few hours & couldn't find the pop up timer! Then he realized what I had done.

That is too funny!!

Have to agree with Vicki, Tom. Being with family is what the holidays are about (to me anyway) not where or what you eat.

Sorry to say I hated it.
Acting was just plain bad.
The food was the worse.
I have eaten t.v dinners that tasted better.
