This just doesn't feel like the night before Thanksgiving.
Normally we would be cleaning the house, baking goodies, doing as much prep work as we can before the feast. But this year ..... nothing, nada, no pies, goodies, dressing, peeled potatoes. I guess it will be nice to not have to clean up the mess from it, but it just doesn't feel the same.
MIL called and said that we are going to be eating at a place called "Bananas". I am thinking that she is bananas for suggesting this place!
Oh what a tradition to instill in Leighanna. Eating Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant called "Bananas"   I think that she has a few screws loose!

Oh well, I did find out that I don't have to work tomorrow night, so at least I can enjoy the day off!

Have an enjoyable Thanksgiving DDA!

That is one of my favorite pieces. I am sure it will be beautiful and a great tribute to your Grandmother. I am sorry for your loss :wizard:  :grouphug:

Thank you, Becky. There's something very soothing about music, isn't there?

Give me either,  but I have not seen Enchanted yet but this movie to me sounds very, very similar to the 10th Kingdom. I have thought this since I first heard about Enchanted. 10th Kingdom was made as a miniseries but it is really a movie format but about 7 hours long.

It is very good it was on TV but it is about a father and daughter from the 10th Kingdom AKA current day New York city who follow a stray dog through a Magic Mirror, which is actually Snow White's Prince Wendell who was bewitched by the evil queen Wiest so she could rule the Kingdom.

They get stuck in the 9 other kingdoms that are getting ready for a Coronation for Prince Wendell to become King. Of course the trolls, elves and other creatures from all the kingdoms end up in each others kingdoms. The movie is a battle between good and evil to free Prince Wendell and bring the 10 Kingdoms to peace again. It is very good and I highly recommend it to all of you.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I love the 10th kingdom!!! In fact, I own the movie and the book! Love them both!!! I was so hopeful that there would be more movies. There is the potential for many stories, but so far, no luck!!!!

I do believe I am going to have check these out just based on the two reviews we've been given. :goodvibes

That would be nice! What are her dates?

She's good, but busy. She's real involved with the school now that her youngest is in kindergarten. I saw her Monday over at the school for their Thanksgiving Feast. Her parents are visiting and then she's trying to get ready for their wdw trip. They will be down there over Christmas. Janet, you should trip to hook up with her. :thumbsup2

I hate the fact that it so expensive to take kids to the theater...it should affordable.

Enjoy yourself at the show....our dinner theater closed it's doors before they got to Beauty and the Beast

I agree with this!!! I know I'm luckier than most and get to take my kids to quality theater productions for free. It's nice having a dad who's a producer.

One of the things our theater does is offer student discounts. We also do "preview" performances that are half price. Throughout our season we also offer discounts to seniors, students, groups, etc. More people should be able to access live theater.

Dad recently hired a high school theater teacher to head up the Festival's education department. He does "Shakespeare in the Schools." Schools can have a traveling troupe come and mount a production of one of Shakespeare's plays right there. Tickets are minimal, and they also do workshops in the school. They do stage combat, acting, costuming, and set design workshops. It's been a big hit with schools throughout Utah, Arizona, Wyoming and Nevada. It's neat to see so many kids exposed to that where they normally wouldn't be.

I am feeling the same way Tom...we are going over to a friends house...all she wanted us to bring was a veggie tray from Costco.

19th - 28th for us, Kristine's dates are 16th - 27th.

When is she down there? Who all is going to be there between the 13th & 17th? Is it just Tammi & Elizabeth? I know that Kristine has a grand gathering event scheduled for the 17th or 18th (wish we were still going to be there then as I'd take her up on two of the openings she has).

Hi Kristine - How are you? Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Tom - YAY for no work tomorrow!! Try to enjoy the day, wherever it is that you eat.

Janet...turns out I will be doing Tony's on the 22nd...I am bummed that I won't see you there

Well, I'm off to pie night. I don't know how much time I'll have to post tomorrow, so I'm wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving.

This year, one of the things I'm most thankful for is my friendships here. I value you all, and thank you for making my life fun, special, and something to look forward to.

Well now you need to spill the beans :thumbsup2

Yea on Emma coming home!

We'll be too drunk to care if the cookies go with the drinks. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: The only thing I won't mix with a Margarita is a White Russian. Don't ask, long story ;) :rotfl:

Eric decided to brave the grocery store. He said it "shouldn't be too bad" I think it's his way of saying thank you. I finally caved and let him buy his Weber gas grill today. He is :yay:

Oh and he picked Emma up from his parents, so I get to see her in a bit :cheer2:

Goodnight Glynis. Happy Thanksgiving. :goodvibes

That is wonderful, Elin. Which school is performing HSM?

I will have to think on this! I have students from all the HSs in the region, so I have to remember who it was that told me about it. Might be Courtland...
