Wonderful Theresa :goodvibes

for those travelling today and tomorrow...please travel safe.

for those staying home please enjoy the time with your families.

for those of us grieving this Thanksgiving

for all of you....I am so thankful to be part of such an amazing group!!

Sure! I'll invite Elin and Kim too!

How is Kim?

Thanks!! Now I really am off to eat dinner and brave the grocery store Night all.

Good luck! The news was just showing live footage of the grocery store. That made us decide to have soup and sandwiches for dinner! (Well, that and the fact that DH has to go back to work in a little over an hour.)

Sounds wonderful! Mind sharing the recipe?

Little tart-like things. The crust is made out of butter, cream cheese, flour and vanilla. Put into mini muffin pans. Then the filling is an egg, brown sugar, vanilla and chopped pecans. Yummy.

We went to see Enchanted. I liked it alot & so did the kids. Dana wasn't as thrilled as we were. Giselle is a nice addition to the Disney Princesses. There was one part (no spoilers here) that some people show up in the movie & if you don't already know who they are you would not even know it...Sorry sounds criptic but I don't want to ruin anything for anyone who is going to see it. Anyway fun movie!!!

Sorry, I'd rather have Prince Edward over Robert (Dempsey)

Here ya go Janet.

PECAN GEMS

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 c. flour

Cream butter and cheese blend in flour. Chill about 1 hour. Shape into 24 balls place in tiny ungreased muffin tins. Press dough on bottom and sides of cups.

FILLING:

1 lg. egg
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. soft butter
2/3 c. chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Beat together eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla until smooth. Divide half the pecans among pastry lined cups. Add egg mix. And then top with remainder of pecans.

Bake 15 minutes or until filling is set. Cool and remove from pans.

Glad you all enjoyed it(except for Dana)!

Isn't there a restaurant where you go and it is like dinner theater, only you are a wedding guest? But I thought that was in New York.:confused3
Speaking of Dinner Theaters, our local one is doing a production of Beauty and the Beast. Bob got tickets for us to go Friday night! I really would like to take the kids but for all of us to go it would be around $200. I'm looking forward to it.

Thank you!

Stop sucking me back in :lmao:

I've got some margaritas in the freezer, give me 2hrs ;)
I was going to tell you to bring the margaritas with you, then I thought that they wouldn't go well with the cookies. But..........WHO CARES!:rotfl2:

Ok the boys are still waiting for the papers to be dropped off so they can deliver them! I called them around 4pm & they said they were running 2 - 3 hours behind. I realize the BF ads are in them, but I really think they could be better prepared. It's not like they don't know about it

How is Kim?
She's good, but busy. She's real involved with the school now that her youngest is in kindergarten. I saw her Monday over at the school for their Thanksgiving Feast. Her parents are visiting and then she's trying to get ready for their wdw trip. They will be down there over Christmas. Janet, you should trip to hook up with her. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Denise. The funeral now is set for next Wednesday. The California relatives needed some time to arrange schedules, so I've got some time. My mom asked if my sister, me and 2 cousins would play Pachelbel's Canon on our string instruments at the funeral. At least this should give me time to get my bow restrung, and do some major practicing!

I do appreciate the prayers. My family is praying that Rees has a good Thanksgiving with no pain!!!

That is one of my favorite pieces. I am sure it will be beautiful and a great tribute to your Grandmother. I am sorry for your loss :wizard:  :grouphug:

Well what do you know, I post about it & the papers are here now. Beings it is so late I am going to take the boys this time. I'm not very happy with our Register Mail at the moment

Oh did I mention that it is a mix of rain/snow outside :sad2:
