Thank you Jennifer for my pirate ornaments. I love them. Sorry I was difficult to find things for. I am thinking about now doing a pirate tree for my desk. Maybe instead I should do a Caribbean themed tree with my ornaments I got on my cruise. I still have to get a tree for my desk. I had a small one but somehow I think it got thrown out. That or it is out gallivanting with Elin's tree somewhere. I hope they're not doing the tree tango somewhere.

We ended up with about 6 inches of snow. But most other areas around here had about 1-2 inches. I tend to get more, it might be because we live near Blue Marsh lake, but I can't imagine it is big enough to make a real difference.

97 years, wow I imagine your grandmother had a lot of stories to tell when she was younger. She finally had the last word when he picked her up!!!

She did have some wonderful stories to tell. Luckily, between my mom, her sister, and some of the rest of us, most of her stories are down on paper. And yes, I'm sure she had the last word! Knowing my grandpa, he just smiled and let her go on. She was the love of his life, and I know he's missed her just as much as she missed him.

Sometimes being a parents stinks the big one

Got Abi's progress reports...she is getting A's except in Science and Math (taught by the same teacher)....the reason she has a B and C in those classes??? Not turning in work I took a page out of Elizabeth's book and she gets to turn in the work...even though it won't be graded. She looked so forlorn in giving me the progress reports but it's her own darn fault!!

Must be in the air. Katie came home and told me that she's getting a C in math and language arts!!! I'm flabbergasted. At midterm, she was doing very well. All A's. Her problem??? NOT TURNING IN HER WORK! Guess what she's doing now??? Yup. Doing the work. She said, "but report cards are already printed." Well, too bad!!! Maybe next term she'll take some responsibility!

Our ornament exchanges are in the mail. Hopefully you should be receiving them in the next few days!

In the mail today we got packages from Virginia, Molly and Lucy! The ornaments are darling! I'll take some pictures and post them. You guys are the best!!! Actually, my kids haven't seen the ornaments, yet. They get them on Christmas Eve. The extras, however, they get now, and they love them!!!! Jennifer and Robyn, you guys really went the extra mile. Thank you.

I figured this much when you were who I received from. Thank you for going out of your way to try and find something. They are very hard to find. It is easier to find Villain things now then in the past, but they are still not abundant. I really didn't see many if any villain ornaments at the Christmas store at Downtown Disney. I don't think I saw any because I didn't pick any up. They don't have any on Disney shopping either. Hallmark had a wicked queen from Snow White ornament for their early release but it sold out extremely quick that was the only things I have seen this year. I love pirates as well, heck I love anything Disney so all is well.

i considered ordering one from disney shopping but was just not sure. I decided to go with the pirates since you seemed to really like the pirates night on your cruise. I just really wanted to get you your first choice.

I'm about 30 pages behind, but I really need to post right now.

I found out this morning that my grandmother passed away at midnight. I'm ok, but a little sad. She was 97 years old, so she lived a good, long life. Her husband died 17 years ago, and she has been anxiously waiting to be with him again. She has lived in a nursing home for the last 6 years, and has hated every minute of it. She hated losing her independence. During the last year, her mind started to wander, and she had trouble recognizing people. She did recognize my mother and my aunt, but no one else. The last 6 months, she kept talking about grandpa, and how angry she was that he was so late to "pick her up." I know she's thrilled to be with him again. She has been totally bedridden for the last 4 months, and has had to deal with bedsores, etc. Not a good quality of life. So, I'm very happy for her. Sad for me and my kids, but happy for her.

I just wanted to let you know that I may be offline for a while since the funeral will probably be Friday. Not sure where or when, but we're ready to leave at a moment's notice.

Thanks for being there for me! I really appreciate your support and prayers at this time.

Hey Tammi, the DVC Merry Member Mixer is posted on the dvcmember site. It is scheduled on Dec. 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 3-5pm. Chuck & I will be there as long as our flight is on time.

Janet will that fit into your schedule? It is located just outside of the International Gateway at Epcot. The Summer on the Savannah was loads of fun with great free drinks and snacks as well as a gift for each person.

The other 2 pieces of our entertainment center came today so I spent the afternoon assembling them. There were a few flaws, but I managed to hide them well or fix them. I really like the look of it. I think it will go well with the antique china cabinet that I still need to refinish. We have a lot of oak furniture in our house and the new flooring is also an oak finish.

I took Colby to Kmart and had his picture taken this morning. Oddly enough the very first shot is the one that I liked the best. I can pick them up on Dec 7.

After erecting the furniture today I started to put stuff into them. I moved the Crystal photo cubes of the boys into one cabinet. I left the room for a few minutes and Colby managed to drop 2 of the cubes, completely shattering his and taking a big chunk out of Hunter's. I am truly devasted as they are my all time favorite WDW souvenirs. It isn't like I can go back in time to have one made of my baby, he's 5 now afterall. I'm tempted to call Disney to see if they keep the photos on file as I would love to order 2 more. I somehow doubt that they would have the files from 4 years ago
