Theresa, weren't you the one that decided the ornaments should arrive by Thanksgiving. And then you wait until the last minute to shop and mail them??? ;) :rotfl2:

The girls exchanges were done weeks ago....I just couldn't find any that I liked for my exchange...I was looking for the "perfect" one...it didn't happen. Don't get me wrong I love the one I got it just wasn't the one I thought I would be able to find. :confused3 And I had already decided to send off all the exchanges at once.

It took forever for the Disney Store to have their ornaments up this year...didn't they know the DDA needed their ornaments???:rotfl:

Have a great day, DDA! I need to go "laminate" the placemats the preschool kids made for the Family Feasts we are having this week. I am just using clear contact paper, because I can't afford any other method. They aren't perfect, but they will do.

I forgot to tell you about the "excitement" we had at preschool. We have a sensory table that we fill with different items to make it seasonal. For November we used dried corn. On Thursday, I opened up the table, and a little girl said, "Mrs. Allen, there is a mouse living in our corn." At first I thought she was pretending, but I looked over and there were actually two field mice in the corn table. I whipped that cover back on as fast as I could and dragged the table outside. They eventually scampered off, and I was left with a mess to clean. I had to empty everything out of the table. I threw away the corn and scrubbed and sanitized everything else. I guess we need to find some non-food items to use in the table. Pretty much everything we've used in the past is food to a mouse...rice, beans, pasta, corn, etc.

Yikes!!!:scared1:

I want to comment on your other statement:

I have been a preschool teacher and an office manager in my life. It is much easier on me being a full time office manager than the preschool teacher. First I get a break in the middle of the day where I can hide from everybody (most of the time) and then I am able to leave work at work (again, most of the time).

But I still need time to myself.....maybe I will go disappear this afternoon:idea:

Please give yourself credit for being an awesome teacher and mom and then make "me" time....a stressed out mom only stresses the rest of the family.

The only reason I decorate so early is because I get so slammed at work and the decorating wouldn't get done otherwise and I am the Grinch without decorations. Oh my kingdom for a stressfree Christmas. ;)

Hi Clare!!! Thanks for the link!! I hope this means you'll be around more often. :goodvibes

I also don't know how mothers who work full-time get anything done. I am seriously thinking of dropping the 4's class next year so that I can go back to having Mondays and Fridays off. I am never home for more than an hour or so that I don't also have kids here. Plus running errands is near impossible. Class hours are 9:15-11:45, but I seem to not get out of there before 1:00 pm or 2:00 most days. From the time the kids get home around 3:30, we have to be out most days. Then there is all the prep work at night to get through. I know that is nothing compared to what most of you do, but I feel like I can't get myself together ever. I think I need someone to teach me to be more productive. Kudos to all of you!!!
I feel your pain, Beth! Just remember it won't all get done, so do what is most important. Housework always comes last for me. My house may not be CLEAN, but I keep the clutter to a minimum, so at least it looks clean on the surface. The only time that I have to myself is for about an hour or so after the kids go to bed.

I bet those mice thought they found heaven!!!

Are you kinkless this morning, Elizabeth?

No kink, just this sinus thing.

I talked to the kids' dad last night and explained to him that Santa wanted to bring Nicholas the Wii for Christmas. (Thanks, Vicki. Alyssa has no interest in it). I told him that I couldn't afford it plus the accessories and asked if he would be interested in helping out. He sounded positive about it and said he would think about it and get back to me by the weekend. I would be happy if he helped pay for half of the unit itself. I would buy everything else. So we'll see.

I hope he decides to be civil about this since it would make Nicholas very happy!

Good morning :)

So much for sleeping in, I was up at 6am  So I have been messing around with our Dec. itinerary :thumbsup2 I swear I am going to have a binder full of papers to take, so I can be able to keep track of all the activities, ADR's, best parks, hours, ect. :rotfl: Does the Osborne lights have a set schedule for every evening? What about the carolers at AK & the story tellers at Epcot? I also just seen a post about something at MK called "Twas The Night Before Christmas". Anyone know what this is?

I am sure I will have a lot more questions as the time gets closer!

The Lights do have a schedule - check on the calendar on the Disney site. They are 6-8 PM the night we will be there - not sure if it changes. The thing that is tripping me up is Lights, dinner, Fantasmic, and the Harlem Choir. I don't think we can do all 4 in one night. We have dinner at 5:30, from there we'll do Lights, then over to Fantasmic. I guess if we can squeeze the choir in there we will.
Never knew there were carolers at AK.
The Epcot storytellers do have a schedule, but I don't know what it is.
I only caught a little of the "Night Before Xmas" last year because it was COLD out there. I wasn't even in the theater - I was standing up near Buzz.

YIKES! NO rodents in the corn!:scared1: Ick.
I'm not putting a tree up this year because of Arabella. I didn't realize when we got her how really, really wild she would be. (Wild in the "out of control" sense.) Aurora was like that, but she has outgrown it. I hope Arabella outgrows it!
The tricky part of doing other decorations is that I don't know what is here and what's in the storage unit, so I really need DH's help. His schedule is nuts. My schedule isn't bad, but I think it will feel hectic going to WDW and getting back when DS still has another week of school to go before the break.

I ended up not going to the birthday party. I feel yucky, and 30 screaming kids would not have made me feel better! I need to call over there and tell Sister Happy Birthday and let her know I will bring her present to her later this week.

I had looked for the booster pack last year but could not find it. They have a Disney scene it 2 out now.

MY tree will go up on Tues as that is the day Jeff has off. Not sure if I will put my Village up or not.

Need to figure out what to tell Jeff I want for Christmas. I walked around Target last night but nothing jumped out at me.

We are going home today!!! Just saw the surgeon, and we're out of here! Just waiting on home health to come to bring us all the supplies for the g-tube feeds and train us. We are also getting a wheelchair for Rees. He has CP and walks well without one normally, but he is so weak that we'll need it for a while. We do use a stroller as a wheelchair for long distances (like WDW), but he has gotten too big (height wise) for the one we have. I may look into a special needs stroller for him, but the wheelchair will be very helpful for the moment. Especially to go see Santa next week at the mall!

Thank you seems so inadequate a phrase to convey my deep gratitude to you all for your support, meals, advice, prayers, and concern for Rees over the past month. You all have truly touched our lives in a positive way. I am eternally grateful to you all.

So is the TV your Birthday present:rolleyes1
who are they playing?

Our October trip was our present to each other. The TV was a nessecity as our old one wasn't working properly. He was just lucky that I found a good sale or it wouldn't have been so large :goodvibes

Patriots vs. Buffalo.

I just put Chris and Colby down for a nap :lmao:

Hope you have a wonderful day Chris!
