I don't even want to think about laundry. I have a small pile to get done it will happen though sometime today. Have fun at Bee Movie

Hi guys! Busily working on Christmas stuff for Evil-bay. Leighanna wanted to "model" tonight, so I finally got some pics uploaded.

I also made a matching t-shirt and jeans set to go with this outfit.

Wow! That is a cool set. If I am seeing all the pieces, this is a 4 piece outfit, right? She has the dress, the short sleeve shirt, the red sweater, and the jeans. She can mix & match. You are very creative!

Vicki -- Lindsay might still have a spreadsheet she forwarded me a couple years ago that crunches the numbers for you! If not, ask around for it on the boards. It made it a no-brainer for us, but also takes each family's vacation style into consideration (what you would do if you didn't buy) to see if it's really the right idea.

Ooh cool! I'll ask Lindsay when she gets on. I've been over on the DVC section to check out information there. I really, really think it is going to happen this time. The only reason we didn't buy last year was that Chuck wasn't convinced we would go often enough to make it worth it. Well, we'll have three trips this year (if we go in December), we took 2 last year, and already have 2 planned for next year. I think we will be going to Disney regularly!

Has anybody had any success selling their old cell phones? There is a thread on the Budget Board for a place that buys them but it just feels weird to me. I did a search for "cell phone buy back" and there are several online places that buy them but they all give me that "scam" feeling. You have to mail the phones to them and then they send you a check in 30 days, subject to "condition" of the phone. The 3 phones we have would bring in $50 IF they paid us full price for them. The company on the Budget board pays shipping, one of the others I looked at does not. What do you guys think?

I have donated mine to the Abuse Shelter in the past. We also just gave my Mom Chuck's old one (when he got his blackberry). I'm not sure I'd "trust" in a place that sends the check 30 days later.

I realized I forgot to introduce myself to Crystal. I tried designing but just am not real creative. I did do some autograph pages that got some use by others. I have two DDs - one 22 and the other 19. One lives away at college and the other lives at home while attending community college. DH & I are addicted to Disney.

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcomes.:grouphug:

I will be around on and off today. I think we are going to rake the leaves and I may take the kids to the park one last time before it gets to chilly. I really want to dig out the christmas decorations but DH is trying to convince me to wait until the night of black friday. Obviously he does not understand that I will be exhausted from standing in line at target at 4am to make sure the kids get everything they asked for.:rolleyes1

Last year we lined up at 10 PM at Best Buy on Thanksgiving :rotfl: :rotfl: I did get everything the I wanted and we were NOT first in line.

Crystal - You are a busy girl! I just have one DS11, and I am full-time nanny to Princess who will turn 2 in January. The 2 of them are plenty for me!:rotfl2:

DS's friend just arrived and we are going to see the Bee Movie at 11 AM.:) I managed to sort of clean DS's bathroom and I only have 2 loads of laundry left to do. Our Disney Store sweatshirts came out of the dryer with the embroidery kind of wavy/wrinkled, but I think that's par for the course. They don't look too bad.

DS said "It would be nice if you vacuumed." Who raised this rude child?:confused3 Maybe if I didn't work last night until midnight I would have time for things like vacuuming! If his friend thinks my carpet is dirty he will have to get over it. I thought the laundry was more pressing than the vacuuming. Priorities, you know.

Elizabeth he is 11, time to introduce him to the vacuum. If he is old enough to notice the dirt then he is old enough to clean it up :thumbsup2

The garage is done, now we're having lunch then off to the basement. I will start digging out my Christmas decorations while cleaning :rolleyes1

I'm off to my office in a little while. Tomorrow is a holiday for me for Veterans Day. I'm going to get my office setup so that I can play with my cricut.

Does anyone know if there is anything at Disney that you need to be taller than 48" to ride? I've checked Mission:Space, Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Test Track, and Rock n' Roller Coaster. All of them are 48" or less. My niece is 48" so we are safe with all of those. I just want to be prepared if there is anything she can't do. Thanks.

Tom cute creations and you model is adorable. She could put the other models out of work.

Ok, DVC owners. Do I have this right? With the current incentive, I could buy 225 points. If I can get a December Use Year, then I would also get 225 2006 points. Plus since I'm buying 225 points, I'd get 160 developer points? This would give me a total of 610 points to use in 2007 if I get the 2006 points rolled over (or whatever the actual term is).

I looked at OKW and if it is available, I'd get a studio for our Dec. 13-17 trip for 57 points (if it is still available this late in the day). A one-bedroom would be 196 points for our Feb. 29-March 8 trip. A two-bedroom would be 342 points for our June 6-14 trip with my sister, mom & my family. For a total of 595 points leaving us 15 points. Could I then roll them over to 2008?

Is there someone that can look at this and make sure I did it right? Chuck & I are definitely thinking this is worth rushing on a decision if we can get the December Use Year and I am correct in that we'd get the 2006 points.

My sister is adamant that she will pay me for what she would pay at Pop. I may be able to convince her not to do that. However, if she continues to be adamant that would just give us the money for another trip before the end of November. :lmao:

Plus, if we can do this before the end of November, then I can take advantage of the $500 reward points on my Disney Visa card which will pay for our December flight. :yay: :dance3:

I am researching on the DVC board and will ask some questions there but I always trust my DDA friends the most.

The other question I have is at this time, I know you can buy AP's for a discount through DVC. Can I buy them for all 4 of us at the discounted rate? Katrina & Becky are still considered my dependents because they are in college. However, I wasn't sure if that would count for buying AP's. That also saves me $400 for the coming year if that is possible.

That's kind of what I think. If there was a place to take them to get money for them I would do it, but mailing them and waiting a month for hte money just seems fishy.

I was thinking exactly the same thing when she posted that.

I know, DS is spoiled. I should make him vacuum.

The only thing she can't do is drive the Tommorowland Speedway cars without an adult in the car.

Tom, love the outfit! I kept meaning to say that!

Vicki - I can't find all the paperwork we had from DVC!:headache: I can NOT imagine that I threw it out, but it's not where I thought it was. That keeps happening to me lately...:rolleyes1

I'm having the same problem which is why I'm in my office. Of course, I'm supposed to be cleaning it (and did for about 1/2 hour) and then I got sidetracked with a bunch of new DVC questions so I started researching them. I'm looking for the DVD and packet of DVC info that we received last year. It would answer so many of my questions. I know it isn't current but lots of the questions I have wouldn't have changed.

I just forwarded the e-mail from the resale lady to you. It has some info about financing and so forth, as well as contact info in case you are interested.:)

Vicki, that is all correct. I am not sure how good a chance you'd have to get your OKW request for this year (I had to waitlist even several weeks ago for ANYTHING during that same time frame) because early December is busy for DVC members. Even still, your math is right... and you could waitlist, and just plan on getting a good deal at another hotel room if it didn't come through. Those developer points are so hard to resist, aren't they?!

ETA: Also, to get your 2006 and 2007 points, you'd really have to move very fast. I don't know that I'd count on that if you aren't sure of your decision. If you are, though, the extra points right away are very nice!

The discount is for "immediate family living in the same household", so you'd definitely be able to use it for all of you! It's a phenomenal discount!
