Vicki, that is all correct. I am not sure how good a chance you'd have to get your OKW request for this year (I had to waitlist even several weeks ago for ANYTHING during that same time frame) because early December is busy for DVC members. Even still, your math is right... and you could waitlist, and just plan on getting a good deal at another hotel room if it didn't come through. Those developer points are so hard to resist, aren't they?!

ETA: Also, to get your 2006 and 2007 points, you'd really have to move very fast. I don't know that I'd count on that if you aren't sure of your decision. If you are, though, the extra points right away are very nice!

It sounds like we are sure of our decision if this is correct. I'll be doing lots and lots of research in the next couple of days. Did I tell you I have tomorrow off? :lmao: We are going often enough now for it to make sense. I didn't figure I'd get the December trip so late in the season but was just calculating what it would be so that Chuck could see that we could easily go next December because the points are good.

Hooray! Good luck on hashing out the final details and making your move! :goodvibes

Vicki...are you talking about SSR points?

Yes, that is what I was asking about. We are also looking at the resale for OKW as a possibility. However, with the incentive we are leaning this way. If we can't get the developer points for SSR, we will consider buying the AKV instead. It is a little more money but gives us the extra points that we want for this coming year.

You can't beat the incentives...we almost did SSR...but neither Bill or I were really wild about it....It made it easier to chose AKV. The benefit of SSR though, are the 2006 points. You do not get them for AKV....

Does anyone know if there is anything at Disney that you need to be taller than 48" to ride? I've checked Mission:Space, Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Test Track, and Rock n' Roller Coaster. All of them are 48" or less. My niece is 48" so we are safe with all of those. I just want to be prepared if there is anything she can't do. Thanks.
Nope, that's it.

I am researching on the DVC board and will ask some questions there but I always trust my DDA friends the most.

The other question I have is at this time, I know you can buy AP's for a discount through DVC. Can I buy them for all 4 of us at the discounted rate? Katrina & Becky are still considered my dependents because they are in college. However, I wasn't sure if that would count for buying AP's. That also saves me $400 for the coming year if that is possible.
Yes, family members living at your address.

Vicki - here is a great DVC planner program that you can download to your computer. Just plug in your dates and resort and it tells you how many points you'll use. You can do a lot more too, but I'm not going to go into it all.

Elin - I drove by your studio on the way home from church and one of your students was outside playing the piano. You looked very cute in your reindeer ears, by the way. ;)

Oh I'd love to see a picture of that!

Chuck is going to send me over the edge! First, he has been bugging me weekly about going to Disney in December. Now, he says "Stop talking about. Telling me all this random stuff isn't helping. If you'd get the numbers down on paper, we could be ordering this afternoon." :scared1: :faint:

I figured it was time for me to start posting to this thread since i have been posting my designs lol. Hi everyone I am Crystal.

 Hi Crystal!! We're happy to have you posting! I am Tia, mom to 4yo Terra, wife to Phil and a non-designer (so far). Your thread looks great!

So, Vicki, shall we plan on seeing you guys next month?;)

I am not sure what I thought of the Bee Movie. It was pretty good, but it felt much longer than it was. The beginning was really good, the middle was kind of "eh" and the end was making me fidgety waiting to leave the theater! Matinee prices have gone up from $5 to $6, which somehow seems like a big deal.

I tried something new for my big Sunday shopping. Instead of going to the grocery store I went to Super Target. It is definitely cheaper! Even though they only do face value on coupons I came out better. I spent the same amount that I usually spend at the grocery but I bought Tide, Downy, Q-Tips, Plug-In refills, stuff that really boosts the bill. The down side is that is was really crowded in there and some of the shelves were completely empty! They had no graham crackers. They had a sign, but no crackers. I picked up the wrong kind of Tide so I am going to have to take that back and switch it for the right one. And I am not familiar with the way the store is laid out so that was kind of tricky. I guess we might start buying more stuff there since there were some items were $2 less than the grocery (for the exact same thing).

As I drove by I thought to myself "If only I had my camera!"

 pictures were taken... whether or not I can get a digital image or not is something else. If I get one I promise I will post!

It was a wonderful, crisp day. Lots of people downtown shopping and stopping in for nice music. I think we ended up having 163 students who played from 10:30-4:00. I was at work by 9:30 and never sat down until I got back in my car to drive home at 5:30. Even with my crocs my feet are killing me!
