I just put DS's pants in the dryer. That makes 3 loads of laundry. Other than that I didn't really do much of anything. Well, I worked for 3.5 hours today. I didn't do anything yesterday so that's where I got so far behind.

Well the pats game is over--and i think chris will be very happy!

now i have to eat and get ready for kickoff in 45 minutes!

Thank you, Elin.

Heidi - I hope John is feeling better soon.

They go into major rehearsal mode tonight for "Twelfth Night" so I hope those meds kick in BIG TIME over the next 24 hours.

:wizard: :wizard: that the meds work fast.

We are back from my In-Laws. My FIL has decided not to have the surgery. He is 84 years old and has decided the pain & recovery aren't worth it. He was told he probably has 6 months to a year. It is his decision. Chuck's brother & sister are having trouble accepting this. Chuck has been preparing Katrina, Becky & I for this for at least a year. This week-end when my mom was here and asked how he was doing, Chuck told her he is preparing for his death (that was before he even had the heart attack). I'm not saying that I'm happy with the decision but I'm trying to be supportive anyways. I keep reminding myself that I don't want him to have the surgery for himself but for us. I understand him not wanting to be an invalid (55% chance of stroke with the surgery). He does have meds to take for his heart and they are watching his sugar levels because they were high yesterday. Otherwise, it is life as usual for him.

I'm sorry for the news of your FIL, Vicki, but at least he's at peace with his decision. I hope that the other children can come to peace with it as well. You are all in our prayers.

My kids are busy circling things in the Toys R Us catalogue. I'm listening to them talk back and forth about what they want. Is 8 too young for an IPOD?

My mom called last night an announced that she is coming to town for Thanksgiving. I told her we are having Thanksgiving with my bosses. She said she will have Thanksgiving with my sister and she will see us another day. She is going to stay with my sister, which is fine, but is about 100 miles away. My sister has Mother watching her kids on Black Friday so she can go out and shop. Mother said I should drive up there and go shopping, too. Um, no thanks! I can shop JUST FINE without driving 100 miles. DS would rather chew his own arm off than go shopping.

My mother is interesting. She doesn't budget at all, and her SS checks will run out in March when my sister turns 16. But Mother doesn't want a job other than her little part time job in a school cafeteria because that will mess up her benefits. Her car is ancient and not reliable, but she is planning to DRIVE down here from Kansas. I told her she should probably rent a car. Not that she should spend the money, but she should NOT try to drive her car. And a rental would get better gas mileage. She refuses to fly. I have offered to buy a ticket for her and my youngest sister to fly down, but NO.:sad2: My mother frustrates DH to no end, so he wasn't thrilled to hear that she is coming. Hopefully she will stay with my sister the whole time and we will just visit with her. We don't have room for overnight guests, but she did stay with us once. She got very offended last time when I said we have to be QUIET after 8 PM because DH has to get up at 1 AM and go to work. She doesn't like to be told she has to be quiet. Excuse me? If you can't be respectful of DH then you don't need to be sleeping in our living room! I didn't want her to spend the money for a hotel but she was really quite rude when she stayed here. And since we have no idea what DH's schedule will be for that week (I expect it will be ugly!) I am certainly not going to offer to let her stay with us again.

When she was here over Spring Break she just spent a few hours with DS. Her main goal was to spend time with my sister's baby. Now my sister has TWO babies so Mother really needs to come visit them. It irks me that she doesn't seem interested in DS and she is the only grandparent he has.

Ick! I hope that everything goes more smoothly than anticipated and that DS isn't too adversely affected. :grouphug:

No, Emma has had one for a year now. Hers is a $30 Shuffle refurb.

okay i think I am going to take some benadryl and go to bed. I have been itching all over my face, chest and shoulders off and on for the past week. Today the itching has been constant. The itching was just my jaw line on my face but now its my whole face. I have not used anything new so not sure what is causing it.

I hope that it was better today!

Well I was gonna try and catch up but Lucy has something else in mind- screaming at the top of her lungs.

:yay: for Rees coming home.

Heidi- :wizard: for John

Elin- :wizard: for Kristin

Janet- Have fun! Come back very rich, ok! ;)

Vicki- Your Fil and family remain in our prayers. :wizard:

Is a 10 year old boy going to want to do the masks at Epcot? I'm thinking of doing the passports instead for them.

I'm really having fun getting started on our June trip. This is going to be so much fun. I am looking for pins for pin collecting thanks to Elizabeth.

Well, my mom and brother got home from the shore a little bit ago and things just arent looking good. On Tuesday, my grandpa will be going for tests to see if the cancer is spreading. He wants to know if the problems he has been having are a result of the cancer spreading or from the chemo. He hasnt been eating and is veryw eak and depressed..started talking about DNR orders and hospice..just a really hard night..sorry, had to get it out

Stephanie, http://www.hallmarkscrapbook.com/ has the Cricut Expression for $299 plus free shipping. Do I want the expression or is the original one good? They also have the Cartridges at reduced prices but I don't know what the shipping is for them.

www.acmoore.com has the Cricut on sale for $129. I heard they had an online store now. I'm currently researching what they have.

Vicki - do you have a Michael's?

I just noticed in their circular from today's paper that they have the Cricut Complete Starter Set that Stephanie mentioned for $199.99. (Regularly $299.99, and if you purchased everything separately, supposedly a $379.99 value.)

It includes cutter, cartridge, paper and cardstock pads, trimmer, tool kit, mats, blades, manual, power adapter and more.

If you don't have a Michael's and this sounds like a good deal to you, I'm sure Santa could always ship it from Texas. ;)

I'm so sorry to hear this, Jen. Prayers for your grandpa and your family. :wizard: Maybe the Cowboys will lift your spirits. :goodvibes

Heidi - I hope John gets to feeling better! Stomach bugs are no fun!

Glynis and Tammi - wow, sounds like you both got a ton of stuff done, too. I'm slowly whittling away at my weekend "to do" list, but still have a ways to go. I figure I still have about 4-5 hours!
