When I drove through town today they had all the Christmas wreaths up along the street, and they are starting to string the trees with lights. It really hit me that it is now the season. :goodvibes: I got that warm, fuzzy feeling. Although it did look kinda strange seeing Christmas wreaths on lightposts that still had cornstalks around them. :rotfl:

::yes:: Next weekend is the DRMI Ooen House, which heralds the beginning of the holiday season! I went to Two Sisters' Boutique's Christmas Open House last night and got a certamic turkey for my Thanksgiving table centerpiece and two bird ornaments for one of our Christmas trees. It was so nice to walk into a shop all decorated for Christmas when there was a crisp feel in the air!

Is there a list for the MVMCP pins. I know I could search for it, but I thought it would be easier to ask our resident Crazy Pin Lady, who probably has the page bookmarked. :rotfl:

I see Janet beat me to it!:)

I'm thinking the Tink one. ;) Are you going to be able to get it? If not, I could get one for you.

ETA: No, I won't. Sorry. That's not the day that I'm going. Why don't I see a pin for my date?

The MVMCP pins are being released 2 pins each week, not 1 pin per party. It looks like my week will be Tink and Stitch. Of course I really WANT the Pluto one. I might just get the AP one and be done with it.

I'll be getting the Tink. I can't stand Stitch.

I don't like Stitch in general and I don't like that pin at all.

Not too late. I need to buy an electric skillet first.
Wanted to get one today, but John has been sick since yesterday morning.

Hope John feels better!:wizard:

Heidi - I hope John is feeling better soon.

Denise - HOORAY!! Glad Rees got to come home today!

Janet - HAVE A BALL on your trip!

Tammi - great start on the holiday season with the applesauce ornaments. When they are done baking you will have to post pictures!

Anne Marie - did you and Dana have fun on Date Night last night?

We had a wonderful time with the girls today. The drive down I-95 was surprisingly beautiful! I had no idea that there was so much color in the trees. I figured everything would be very brown, but that was not the case. We had a wonderful brunch, yummy, actually! And some good mimosas, Bloody Mary's and Screwdrivers. We were in the restaurant for 2 hours! Then we took Kristin grocery shopping so she would not have to walk anywhere. She does sound much better, but says it is still difficult for her to breathe at times. They go into major rehearsal mode tonight for "Twelfth Night" so I hope those meds kick in BIG TIME over the next 24 hours. She is going back to the clinic for a follow-up appointment on Tuesday. Hopefully it will just be precautionary and not necessary.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

We are headed to Richmond for brunch with the girls this morning. Actually, we are taking Kristin's winter coat and some sweaters to her. It is supposed to get cold here this week and she does not have the clothing for it. She also needs to do some grocery shopping and I don't want her walking the 10 blocks over and back to Kroger. Kathrin offered to take her, but I want to go check on her too.

She went to the clinic on Friday because she was still not feeling better. Turns out her "viral" thingy is now full-blown bronchitis and they gave her 2 bronchial dilator treatments while she was there. Also sent her home with a Z-pack, prednisone and an inhaler. She has a follow-up appointment next week too.

I hope Kristin gets to feeling better! That does not sound like fun. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Today is the 45 day mark for Dec. trip :cool1:

I only have to go into work for a couple of hours today to do the order. Right now I am doing laundry & then I will pack the boys clothes. We are taking them to G'mas tonight. They will get spoiled the next few days :goodvibes

Gary told me this morning that maybe we could skip seeing KA & go to see La Noubia while at Disney. So we will see once we are there. Are there any AP discounts for the show at Disney?

Janet - Jonathan and I did the show in March 2006, and we were able to purchase discounted vouchers through TicketMania. You call and make your reservations with the La Nouba ticket office for Cat. 2 seating, and once you have a confirmed reservation, you can purchase the vouchers from TicketMania. You then just have to pick up your tickets, turning in the vouchers, at Will Call the day of the show. Worked like a charm.

REES IS GOING
HOME TODAY!!!!!!!

Wonderful news!!!!!! I'm sure his recovery will be much more enjoyable at home. Prayers and :wizard: that all continues to go well.

Vicki, I love my Cricut. I think they have the best prices at AC Moore. They carry this package that includes the machine, the tools and a couple of cartridges. Wait for the sales for the cartridges!!:dance3:

It is $189 at Walmart I think. I can get it cheaper at AC Moore? My problem is that we don't have an AC Moore anywhere nearby (or on my way to Lansing). I'll have to see where the closest one is.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that doesn't get Stitch.:confused3

Stephanie, http://www.hallmarkscrapbook.com/ has the Cricut Expression for $299 plus free shipping. Do I want the expression or is the original one good? They also have the Cartridges at reduced prices but I don't know what the shipping is for them.

www.acmoore.com has the Cricut on sale for $129. I heard they had an online store now. I'm currently researching what they have.

Chuck is home now. We are going to have steak on the grill for dinner. I'll also make homemade french fries. We both need a nice dinner.

That sounds good. We're having spaghetti because we had the stuff on hand already.:)

I am not progressing very well with my laundry. I have DS's uniform pants int he washer right now. I already did his shirts, so I guess the most important stuff is done.

I really like using the buttermilk. It keeps the chicken really moist.

I can't believe the amount of stuff I got done this weekend. myBob's dd wasn't feeling well so we didn't spend too much time together, hence I had free time. Crossed off my list was........6 loads of laundry, cleaned the upstairs windows inside and out, cleaned the windows in the family room as well, made the ornaments, got Nicholas project done except for the report he has to write, cleaned the windshield inside the van, and rans some errands for household essentials. Wow, I like weekends when I can look back and realize I accomplished a lot. Now when do I get to relax?

It feels like I've been gone for a long time, but in reality, I just couldn't get on the computer for several days. It's been crazy! Halloween was good (I'll post pics in a while). The kids got way too much candy!

The rest of the weekend we spent getting our house ready for winter. I'm happy to say that the outside of our house is all ready. We cleaned out the rain gutters (ick!), raked leaves, tore down our garden, and put all the leaves and old vegetation in the garden spot under black plastic to start composting, we edged our new concrete pad with bricks, dug up all our iris bulbs and separated them, and tilled up a spot for a new hedge. I woke up this morning all sore and exhausted!!!

This next week looks to be really crazy as well! Jacob's birthday is on Thursday, and his baptism is on Saturday. That means COMPANY! We will be having tons of family come in for the occasion. We are hosting a party after the baptism, and we're going to do a nacho bar. It should be easy! We'll provide the chips and nacho cheese, and everyone else will bring a favorite nacho topping. We're also going to have cookies, brownies, etc. Should be fun!

I read everything, but didn't take notes. Just know that I'm sending lots of prayers and pixie dust the DDA way!

Impressive! I got absolutely nothing done, and it shows in how terrifyingly messy my house is! These stupid meds have me down for the count. I think I did enough relaxing for the both of us... I'll relax/sleep again next weekend if you want to come start working on my list! :confused3

Chris, your boys are CRANKY! I've never seen so much finger-pointing and fussing before a game even ends! :rolleyes1 I know, I know -- they aren't accustomed to being down at all! :rotfl: This game is certainly slower paced than I anticipated, and both quarterbacks are being made to look just mediocre!

Well go relax some more because I'm still tired! :rotfl2:
