Deb, Chuck didn't let me forget about the Fastpasses. I asked Scott about them. I told him I'd like a tour when we are there in March and he said that is when he'll give me the fastpasses. I'm hoping to stay at OKW in March & June but would like a tour of Saratoga Springs since it will be my home resort.

Here's the recipe for Hello Dolly Pie:

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12 oz) pkg. chocolate chips
1 C. coconut
1 C. chopped pecans (my kids don't like nuts, so I use white chocolate chips)
1/2 C. butter, melted
1 (9-inch) graham cracker crust

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix milk, chocolate chips, coconut, pecans and butter. Put in graham cracker crust. Bake 25-30 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.

This really needs ice cream to go along with it!

thanks

Who was having breakfast while I was hoping to be at Disney? I don't know when we'll be going yet (or if there'll be room). However, I want to try to make plans around what I know if by some miracle I have choices.

Elizabeth and Tammi they have room for 2 more I remember Elizabeth saying.

Elizabeth & Tammi at AK :thumbsup2

Warning about a movie that is coming out. If anyone is an atheist, this is not a criticism of that. My concern is that they are trying to market this to children under false pretenses.

Get the word out!!!!

THE GOLDEN COMPASS, a new movie targeted at children, will be released December 7, 2007. This movie is based on a the first book of a trilogy by atheist Philip Pullman. In the final book a boy and girl kill God so they can do as they please. Pullman left little doubt about his intentions when he said in a 2003 interview that 'My books are about killing God.'

The movie is a watered down version of the first book and is designed to be very attractive in the hope unsuspecting parents will take their children to see the movie and that the children will want the books for Christmas.

The movie has a well known cast, including Nicole Kidman, Kevin Bacon, and Sam Elliott. It will probably be advertised extensively, so it is crucial that we get the word out to warn parents to avoid this movie.

You can research this for yourself. Start with this article on Snopes.com, then go to Google.

Thanks Vicki. We have seen the previews for this, but I had no idea what it was about.

:scared1: That is terrible. I was wondering why we hadn't heard anything from the recipients. And after you & Chris went out of your way to get the packages mailed on your last day. I sure hope they find it.
Deb, we know that it's not your fault. I can't believe the run-around you got though. That is very un-Disney like. Oh well, live and learn.

That would be me and Elizabeth. Dec. 14 at 10:30, Tusker House.

I'm hoping that we can go Dec. 13-17 but when Lindsay checked there was absolutely nothing available Dec. 13. My second choice is Dec. 14-18.

All this talk about gaming systems. Nicholas has been asking for a Wii. We have a PS2 and I kept telling him no way. Then some coworkers start talking about theirs and it sounds really fun. New and different from PS2, with the interactive games. So now I'm in a quandry. If I get the Wii, it would be for both kids, and that would be it, except for the few things I've already got them.

Anne Marie, what extras did you get with yours? Any additional controllers? Which ones? I'm thinking if I got one, I would get 3 extra controllers so we could all play together.

Is it something that both kids want? I screwed up one year and got the game of the time that Katrina asked for (don't remember what it was) and Becky has never let me forget it. She didn't want that game, Katrina did. She has never played it and showed no interest in it. Bad mommy!

That's the plan but I don't know how successful I will be. I'm just hoping that something is available. Chuck has his heart set on this trip. And he doesn't want to pay for a room out of pocket.

Well, I'm glad I could help! I am just dying to meet you in person! You sound just like me!!! Does anyone else feel like the people here in the DDA are just family members you haven't met yet?

yes ma'am....like I think I've said before you all are better than blood family you are my chosen family!!!:grouphug:

Do you have a Kmart? I can pick on up here for you ;)

I've read all these things about this movie, and I honestly don't know what to believe. I've read the books and really liked the first two, the third, not so much. I've decided that Alan and I will see the movie and then decide whether or not to let the kids see it.

I read the first of a series of articles about the movie...I am really intrigued by the movie and books.

Since we all want to see Enchanted that will be our one holiday movie. I think I will try and read the books and then watch it when comes out on dvd.
