Ah! My receipt just came through, so I think we are good to go! Both ressies show "ticketed" status so DS's receipt should be along shortly. The lady who booked DS's ticket also said there is no change fee as long as it is just a date/time change and there are AAdvantage seats open so that makes me very happy.:)

And now I have DS's receipt! Yay! I booked us in aisle and window. Hopefully no bonehead will come along and book in the middle - that seat is for DH. If DH can't go we will move across the aisle where there are only 2 seats!

Great! Glad that all that got sorted out. Come on bid day! :goodvibes

So question for my texas buddies ;)

Do any of you guys happen to go to Walmart? And if you do, could you check for something for me? My walmart had fleece blankets with the eagles and giants on them for 4 dollars..of course, we dont have any cowboys ones! Ive been wanting to get a cowboys blanket, but most are too expensive for right now. Could anyone see if they have those 4 dollar dallas cowboys blankets for me?

I'll be out running around today, and I'll see if I can't drop by a Wal-Mart for you, Jenn. Who knows, though - we may not have fleece blankets in stock yet as we were near 80 again yesterday!

Lindsay -- take a deep breath, girl! You have been working so hard on this, it's going to be a marvelous trip! That being said, I understand that - if you're anything like me - that advice might have fallen on deaf ears because everything needs to be perfect, and reanalyzed a few more times.. especially with a trip this big! ;) If that's the case, then do this -- make your list, and take it one step at a time. Get done what you can, some other pieces will fall in line, and then just have faith that it WILL be a magical trip! I can't wait to hear about all of your family members' experiences! :goodvibes

I'm sorry to hear some of your family isn't going to be able to make it. I am especially sorry that includes your brother. I said a prayer for him just now, I know how difficult this is for your entire family. :grouphug:

Thanks, Jennifer. I think I may suffer from the same affliction as you (shocked, right?) ;) . I made a HUGE list last night, and will begin trying to make a dent in it today.

Holy cow - what are you doing up at 4:30 a.m.?????

Good morning, DDA! :goodvibes

On top of everything else, today was my 180-day booking window for our early May trip! So, I was throwing together a schedule for that around 2 a.m. so I could book this morning! Fortunately, I've got everything covered, save for a couple of DTD restaurants that don't do the 180+10 booking thing.

I'm fairly wide awake at this point, but I think I'm going to see if I can't squeeze out another hour or so of sleep. Got to be at the mall to start my "to do" list when it opens! :goodvibes

Check in later - have a great one!

I'm obviously not too shocked... I understand your stress, but I do know your trip will be wonderful regardless! :goodvibes

I was up at 4:30 wide awake, because I fell asleep at about 9:30, and my body isn't used to more sleep than that? And I was incredibly uncomfortable. Who knows!

I actually wasn't posting on the DIS until closer to 5 though, the clock is wrong :)

Tia - Thanks for updating the trip thread!:cool1:

So did everyone get the Disney Shopping e-mail about their new "personalized" items? 30% off and FREE shipping? I wonder if I can get a price adjustment on my pin bags? I'll have to go see!

You're welcome!

That reminds me that I was going to come over and post a reminder for people to update me on their trips. I may have everyone already, but our list seems short right now.

Oh yeah! Dec 7-9, SSR. Just me! :teeth:

ETA: I should post it over there, as well!

Lindsay, If your BIL and SIL are having money problems, then it is definitely better they not go this trip.

I am sorry your brother is still on his quest to move to Florida, with no plan other then he wants to become a tattoo artist.

Elizabeth :yay: on getting your flights. Now hurry up bidding time and :wizard: that your DH can get the dates you want.

I just called American and there is no change fee if I just switch dates, so I am going to book 8/1 - 8/17 and then fix it later if I need to. The thing that kind of chaps me is that DS has his own mileage account. I am not going to be able to pay for his $5 fee with my credit card because the names have to match. So I have to CALL to book his ticket and that incurs a $15 booking fee. I'm not booking by phone because I WANT to!:headache: The guy I spoke to was very nice. He said I will need to call to book DS's ticket, but also they need to link our reservations together so DS isn't an "unaccompanied minor". I was thinking maybe I should have transferred miles FROM DS to DH, but then we would be trying to purchase a ticket for a minor with a credit card in my name so I don't think it would help!

DH and DS are back from the diagnostician. He has gained 5 lbs. and grown 1/2 inch since the beginning of summer. They gave him a prescription for 5 mg. of Ritalin to take after school to help him get through homework, so we'll see how that goes. She did say he doesn't need to take meds on weekends, so we can continue to skip meds on weekends & holidays. I was thinking maybe he should take the meds every day, but apparently that doesn't make a difference.

First of all, that's odd that you can't pay his fee with your credit card?!?! That would mean a family can't just book together in one shot.

Second, great news from the diagnostician! I hope you see the improvement he needs soon. I'm glad that he can still skip non-school days.

Lindsay and Jennifer

You need to stop being perfectionists.(sp?) ;)

YAY for Molly getting her flu shot. My kids get theirs on Monday, and Nicholas also has a routine physical. Teacher conferences are also on Monday, so that is just a big day all-around.

Steffy - I have no advice on ticketing. All that boggles my mind.

Abi - I hope you find your homework.

So who is going to see The Bee Movie this weekend? I don't know why, but that just does not appeal to me. Maybe it's because it's been TOO hyped.

I think we're a no on seeing The Bee Movie, but who knows. Terra has been talking about it constantly, but when I mentioned that it was opening and we could go see it, she suddenly started saying that she didn't want to. Some odd things have been afoot with that one lately?!?! :confused3

YAY!!!!! :dance3:  :cool1: One less thing for you to worry about! Any changes sound simple enough and free so that's perfect.

Take some time to enjoy the final days and anticipation too! I know that you are so excited, but I also know that you've done an excellent job planning this trip for everyone. Everything necessary will get done and the rest will fall into place. We all have faith that you will have a marvelous time!!

I'm sorry to hear that some family can't come after all. I wish it could have worked out, but it sounds like for the best.

:woohoo: for the May trip.

Good morning!

I think it's going to be a little chilly at the Pow Wow today. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Me too! (though it was 6:30, but still). I was not very happy to find myself awake when it was still dark when I didn't have to drive anyone to work. Of course, I was asleep by 9 so that was still a good amount of sleep. Mom came down the stairs right behind me so I wasn't alone here either.

Have a great time!! I know that you will all love it.

Good morning, DDA! I hope this Saturday finds you all well.

We are off to the zoo a little later today. Terra is SO excited about her Daddy coming with us. She's been talking about the possibility for months and now he actually is! She gets the biggest grin on her face whenever it is mentioned. She also gets to make something at Build-A-Bear at the zoo so it's even better. I'm thinking so Ted Drewes on the way home to top it all off will make it just perfect. (Wouldn't you agree, Jennifer. ;) )

For now, though, I'm off to get some breakfast and read a little before Terra gets up.

Have a great day everyone!

That sounds like a completely wonderful day! You should get an Marshmallow Concrete, some dry ice, and mail it my way! Maybe it will work! :confused3 :rotfl:
