Could I please get an honest opinion from you all....

I just got off the phone with DXH2B. We talked about Christmas. He said he was finally willing to agree (this means permanently, not just this year) that I can have the kids for the first part of Christmas day. His request, though, is that he has them Christmas Eve and brings them home around 9 PM. Then he gets them around 1 PM Christmas Day. Yes, more than anything, I want to see their faces in the morning when they come down the steps and see what Santa left. However, this will only happen for a few more years, when it just becomes presents from Mom. Now I'm thinking that with only having them from when they get up Christmas morning, maybe around 7, until 1, is ripping myself off. When do I get to have a big Christmas meal? Not Christmas Eve, not Christmas day. Would I be happy only having breakfast with them? Or should I say this is a good plan but lets swap every year? WWYD???? Help me to see the big picture.

Tammi - If you just want one piece you might see if Dillard's has any of the Delsey luggage left. They had royal blue, red, and "cayenne" which was kind of rust colored. It was 75% off. They had the 21", 25" and 29".

Wow. Lots of my friends need pixie dust today! My one friend had that abscess on her leg, and she thinks it is coming back. She has to go to the Dr. on Wednesday to find out if she will need surgery. She was calling to ask me to watch her little charge but I have an appt. on Wed at the same time as her appt. so I can't help.:guilty:
Another friend is in ICU due to complications from lap band surgery. Her bosses are on vacation and don't know she's in the hospital. I just called ExMomboss to see if she can contact my friend's boss - they are best friends.
ExMomboss is out of her office today with a bacterial infection - she sounds awful.
Another former Momboss of mine is stalking my friends. Apparently she is looking for a new nanny.:scared: NOT good. My friends do NOT want to get tangled up in that, so let's hope they can all successfully avoid her.:scared1:

Sending a blanket of pixie dust to TX!!:wizard:

My mom lost the remote starter for her truck today.
Don't know if she found it yet or not.

I agree, I think it would be a wonderful gift! Is this something that can be installed at home or will he have to take his vehicle in?

We do not have a garage either & I hate going out in the cold to start my truck. Good luck with your decision!

I'm thinkin this might be a good gift for Bob. He doesn't have a garage, and it's getting to be COLD in the mornings.

Very nice Kristine!

Since I am not puting up a real tree this year...I decided to put a real wreath on the front door...it's a balsam and it smells very nice.

Tammi...

you and I have had many conversations on ex's...I think it's smart of you to look ahead...because the years will sure pass quicker than any of us want them to...

from my perspective...I wouldn't do anything so permanent...meaning, some kind of rotational situation would be better...it gets him in the mode of having to be more flexible....and the more flexibility you force on him early in the game...the better for you. I hope that makes sense. I know that it may make you a little sad if you don't have them xmas morning...but in the long haul it may be a more equitable split for you.

Thanks, Kristine. I like getting your perspective because you're a veteran when it comes to all this crap!

I see it. Very cute.

I gotta hit the road for a bit. TTYL.

Tammi I honestly do not think I could go Christmas Eve & the most part of Christmas day without the boys. Can't he take them Christmas Eve & you have them Christmas day? Maybe you could swap every other year? I'm sorry I am not much help, I know this is difficult for you.

Sending lot's of :wizard: your way for a good resolution

believe me..I wish I wasn't...

although, now things have gone full circle...Jeff (my ex) want to go with us to WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Tammi - What time does he get them X-mas Eve? Like all day, then you get them back at 9 PM until 1 PM X-mas day? Would he be willing to bring them home at 7 PM on X-mas Eve so you could have a big dinner with them if you wanted to? Or could you have a big meal at noon on X-mas day? I am not good at thinking of the logistics as the kids get older - sorry!

The 21" is the size we use for carry-on. You can pack a fair amount of kid clothes in one that size. That's all we're taking next month and we'll need clothes for 4 days. Those will be clothes for cool weather so they'll take up more space than shorts & T's, but 4 days' worth will fit fine.

Kristine - I see your Christmas pic and a blue question mark under it.
Love your wreath! It's nice to see you posting.:)

What a great idea....I would check to make sure that he wouldn't get a ticket for having a car idle first though. It is illegal in CO to leave a car idling unattended.

I wonder what the blue question mark is...maybe a secret message :rotfl2:

I have been on hold so long for technical support, that I am having trouble remembering what my question is
