Whoah horsies! What's with the 10+ pages in the last 4 hours?!?! I got to cook some stuff and am seriously behind. Well, I've got to go add bananas to the jello and then I am tired. I'll catch up later.

We've got thankgiving dinner after church tomorrow. It's also our pastor's last Sunday. He announced 2 weeks ago that he would be going to another church as of the end of the month. The associate ministers are going to take over as of next week so that they start out the Christmas season and so that the senior pastor's family has time to pack/etc. It'll be a bittersweet day I'm sure.

Good night all.

Stephanie, good luck to your DGD. :cheer2:

Happy Birthday to your DGS too!!!

Colby is over the moon happy this morning. To be young again and actually look forward to getting a year older

Happy Birthday to your DGS & good luck to your DGD!

It always happens this time of year, you think I'd be used to it by now!

Thanks Janet!!

Good luck for DGD :cheer2: :cheer2:

Happy Birthday to your DGS!:cake:

What was Tom doing in your freezer?!? :rotfl2:

Vicki,
Congrats on 10,000 pages (wow!) Glad you had a wonderful birthday. I love that your mom calls you on the minute you were born.

Deb,
Happy birthday to Colby & Chris!!! :) :)

Stephanie,
Happy birthday to DGS! I am so jealous you will be in Disney in 12 days!

Janet,
Your Christmas eve & day sounds like heaven!

Have a great Saturday! I don't have work today

Happy Birthday to Colby and Chris!!!! Enjoy your weekend!!!

Thursday was myBob's dd's bday and we are celebrating it today with a trip to the bowling alley, out to dinner, and then cake and present at my house. Tis the season for lots of bdays!

Wow! I guess we know who to thank for getting to the milestone so quickly. :rotfl:

CONGRATULATIONS, Vicki!!!! Happy, happy birthday a little late! And also CONGRATS on your DVC!! :woohoo:

:rotfl: I have seen notices about that at the post office, but I didn't realize just how seriously they take it.

It took me a minute to get this. I'm a little slow this morning. I was wondering why Tom was in the freezer. :lmao:

That's my thought, too. I hope that my dd never does things like that. She does have her first boyfriend at the moment. I am very worried about that boy's cell phone bill, because of all the texting. I have told her, but I don't think it really sunk in. She has 1,000 texts a month, and she knows she had better not exceed them.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the elves! My father did that for my kids last year and sent them to us. It is so funny.

A few other things that I can remember...

Happy, happy, happy belated birthday, Jennifer!!! I am sorry that the day didn't go very well for you. Plenty of prayers are still being said for you here.

Happy, happy, happy birthdays to Chris and Colby! And also to Stephanie's DGS!

Robyn, I'm sure that your parties will all be happy. Remember to enjoy yourself!

Denise, continued prayers for Rees and your family.

I've read along as much as I can, but I think that I'm entering senility, because I can't remember anything else right now.

I had a day off work yesterday, and my kids had school. I had forgotten how much I miss that. Dh took the day off work, and we went out looking for a new table and chairs set. We didn't find what I really want. The closest one was over $3500, so I may have to rethink this. We also looked at new tvs. He really has done his homework but can't make a decision.

I have to run! Have a great day, DDA!

I am down the shore with my grandparents. One of the women from hospice was here when i got here and you guys were right, she is wonderful..Seems like a great lady! She ordered a hospital bed and wheelchair and they are being delivered right now. She also got him some medicine that will help keep him comfortable.

I found out today that they are pretty sure the cancer has spread throughout the bone and to the brain. He is deteriorating very quickly and the change from just the last few days in amazing. He is slurring his words and its very hard to see him so i had to escape to the computer for a few minutes.

I wont be staying the night, so ill be home in a little bit-no plans tonight so im sure ill be posting a ton!

Stephanie, I missed that it was your DGS birthday.

Happy Birthday to him.

Happy Birthday Colby! party: :cake:

Happy Birthday Chris! party: :cake:

Happy Birthday Stephanie's DGS! party: :cake:

Happy Birthday, Colby!

Happy Birthday, Chris!

Happy Birthday, Stephanie's DGS!

Mickey has a little something for each of you...

clipmickballoons.gif

too cute!! So I am scraplifting!!

Pizza sounds yummy, too bad we already ate dinner! Have fun planning!

I love DD's coffee. Eric prefers Starbucks or the German coffee we get from Aldi's.

Emma is thrilled and scared at the same time. She always gets a little weepy before she goes away. I think it will be harder on me, I miss her terribly when she is gone.

Feel better soon. I can't kick this stupid cough thing, it's driving me nuts!

Chuck E Cheese on a Saturday :scared1:

:rotfl: on the man/coffee comparison!
Not only on a Saturday, but Saturday at NOON!!!!!!:scared1:

It is black with white markings. I just love the one white paw. :goodvibes

Lightning McQueen does not like the microwave...

 :scared1:

I'm going to bed. I'm too old for this stuff..:headache:
Sorry about your microwave! Glad your house didn’t burn down!

I don't remember if it was posted yet, but it looks like the P&PP dates for early 2008 have been released. I really hope some May (if that's when we get to go) dates are released later!

Pirate and Princess Party Dates for 2008
Walt Disney World has official dates announced for January through March for 2008 Pirates and Princess parties. April-August dates are anticipated although not officially verified. Tickets purchased on or before December 15 are priced at $33.95 plus tax for adults and $29.95 plus tax for children (ages 3-9), with DVC members and Annual Passholders paying an even lower $29.95 plus tax for adults and $25.95 plus tax for kids. Regular advance ticket pricing after December 15 is not yet known. Day of Event pricing is significantly higher, at $45.95 plus tax for adults and $39.95 plus tax for kids. To purchase tickets, call (407) WDW-AHOY or (407) 939-2469. Official dates thus far are:

January 21, 26, 29
February 2, 5, 9, 14, 22, 26
March 1, 6, 11, 14
Looks like Joe & I will miss it. I’m not too disappointed though as Joe just can’t stay out too late. I’m hoping it will mean nice low crowds for when we go since nothing is going on. The marathon is the day after we leave. Hopefully most of the week will be pretty quiet.

Mom's Fried Corn

As much corn as you want (can be thawed frozen, or canned, drained well)
A full stick of butter or margarine
Salt & pepper to taste (I use no salt, and a little pepper)

Melt butter in an electric skillet on low. Add well-drained corn and stir well. Cover and cook on low until the corn starts to caramelize. Salt and pepper to taste just before serving. (I put this on in the morning and cook it for a few hours.)
That sounds great!

Gary & I had a wonderful time in Vegas!

This little trip was what Gary & I needed, gave us time to be alone & reconnect
Glad you had a great trip!!!!

Yay - glad you guys got a reservation. If our trips go as planned, we should get a chance to meet! :thumbsup2
That would be wonderful!

I tackled the actual autograph cards last night. Bernadette was kind enough to send me her files - thanks again, Bernadette!

And, as we would expect nothing less from her, I think I have just about every conceivable character covered. I did add Remy and Emile, as well as Tink, in the event she is out for greets. If I can find some good clip art, too, I'd like to add cards for the different holiday storytellers, too, but we'll see what I can come up with in the next day or so. I really want these to be completely done and wrapped to give to my nieces at Thanksgiving before the weekend!

I printed one set of the cards last night - there are almost 200 of them! They're not going to know what hit them! :rotfl:

And one of our local stations officially changed to the "all Christmas, all the time" format this a.m. I think last year they started the week before Thanksgiving - guess 2 weeks before is now the official start time! Of course, I love it, and it's made me happy this morning.
Glad you got your cards done. That must feel great!

Since you mentioned it I checked our local oldies station that goes Christmas and it has switched over too.

I had Andrew's conference this morning, and the teachers were very complimentary of him. I'm so glad. For a child with major learning differences, he's making the kind of progress they want to see. This was the first year that they want the child to be at the conference. He was so quiet, and would barely answer them. I think being out of his uniform but in school talking to the teachers seemed really strange to him, too. They still don't have grades -- I think that starts next year, but they have started occasionally giving them test. He's had three in math, with 100, 100 and 97. Randy wanted to ask him what happened to cause him to get a 97 but I reminded him that Andrew might take him seriously. It's easy to get down on yourself with learning differences, so part of Shelton's goal is to really boost the confidence up. We met with the Association (reading) teacher, advisor/science and one of his speech teachers. The math teacher didn't make it, but since he excels there I'm not worried about that, and the group speech teacher was able to give us a report from the private speech teacher. It was nice to know they are working together with the other teachers to make sure they are hitting all the important areas. I sure do love that school!

Jake's conference is tomorrow morning. If it's anything like the report they sent home, it will be a good one as well. I feel so fortunate to have them where they are.
Congrats to Andrew!:woohoo: How wonderful that he’s a great place for him!

Ok, I bought air for April! Not bad at all but I am always so nervous buying arifare.

I got $123 going to orlando & $113 coming home.:thumbsup2
We had to leave a day early so we are going to stay 2 nights at the residence inn & spend a day at the kennedy space center the day before the cruise.....We get 5 nights at pop after the cruise....whew, glad that over.
Congrats on airfare!

Nick is on :cloud9: He will receive a high honors award at the awards ceremony on Monday. Hunter's teacher didn't send his report card home as we haven't had his conference yet. Apparently we won't get his grades until Tuesday.
Congrats to Nick!:woohoo:

You're post got me thinking...

What do you all think of these dresses for the girls to wear to Bibbidi Bobbity Boutique. Are they too much, too formal? I just thought that since a lot of the new princess stuff is gold that they'd be cute. I don't think I can find a princess dress to fit Emma. We have dinner at the Castle booked after they get all dolled up.

What a nice dress! Look perfect!

I just feel like I should have checked into it. I'm sure that I had pulled up my pictures in my account when I went in on the CD with someone last Christmas (Bernadette I think). I'm wondering if this is something new. I will still be trying to get a helpful CM and do think us having matching shirts, and common pictures will help our cause. It should be obvious that we aren't strangers!
Vicki-I’m so sorry! I should have explained it to you guys. I thought you already knew that only person can claim the photos. I was wondering why everyone was claiming their own photos. When I did your photos last year I had them add your photos to my photopass card so when I claim my card they were all there. Hope you got it all fixed.

Amy (and other soon-to-be travellers with little ones) - I saw on the family board that Darby is doing test meet and greets. Someone also thought they'd heard Handy Manny was out starting this month.
We didn’t actually greet Darby (Lizzy would have liked to but the lines were always so long) but we did see her a few times. We didn’t see Handy Manny.

I was inspired by Kristine's fabulous Halloween wreath.....

IMG_1219.jpg

My Disney store has a mickey head wreath for $24.99. I was at the Dollar store yesterday & saw the large wreath & the small ones & of course (being the Disney fan that I am) saw a hidden Mickey. $3!! & my kids love it. i am going to add some small red ornaments to it but all thats still in the attic. I just couldn't wait to put it up.
That is awesome!

Afternoon all.
Hope all are well.
As always busy busy.
Been working on the house and yard.
Work is a little slower.
Finally hired a 3rd person for maintenance.
He's a good addition to the crew.

Finally got all the plans nailed down for vacation.
Check in Saturday 12/22 @ Campground.
Check out Friday 12/28.
Only 6 nights, but we do have Annual premium passes.
So there will be many other trips.
Couldn't get any dates later all booked solid.
We went ahead & got the Magic your way with dining.
The dining plan is so less stressful.

Ramiro has kept up the good work at school.
All A's except 1.
He got a D in life Science.
Missed doing an important grade bearing asignment.
So the school has promoted him to the 8th grade.
He's looking forward to going to High School next year.
Wow how did my little guy get so big??

Well I'm off to Lowes.
Need some fall flowers for my little potted flower garden.
Hi Jo!

Congrats to Ramiro!:woohoo:

Oh yeah, my Kodakgallery photos came today. The photos from my camera are amazing, really vibrant color and crisp clear picture. The Photopass photos that I saved while viewing aren't very clear. Very pixilated, but still ok.
Glad to hear you’re happy with the Kodak prints!

Just stopping into say hi. I had two 15 hours days with work this week. I was kind of lazy today. I did go shopping and found two business type suits for $10 a piece. The tag on the one for the MSRP said $428:scared1:  so that was an awesome deal.

Next Sunday I am going to New York City to see the Rockettes and to do a Behind the Scenes tour.

If you could keep my District Manager from Goldtoe in your thoughts that would be great she has been having severe abdominal pain. Also my cousin who is in Venezuela has Dengue fever, she got it from an infected mosquito.

Sending congratulations, prayers :wizard: :grouphug:  to all of you.
Hi Becky, Congrats on the great suit deals. I can’t remember when you posted this but I think it means you’ll be at the Rockettes tomorrow. Have a great time!

Hi guys! Busily working on Christmas stuff for Evil-bay. Leighanna wanted to "model" tonight, so I finally got some pics uploaded.
HollyJollyMinnie044.jpg
HollyJollyMinnie035.jpg
AWESOME!!!!

Congrats on the car jennifer..nice consolation prize for not decorating ;)

what kind of car did you get

It's a Saturn Aura XE, in "techno gray" :) It was Saturn's new vehicle last year.

14_Saturn_Aura_2405.jpg

Last night, though, I was more excited about the car buying process than I was the car itself! :rotfl: When I was 18, I bought my first new car. I got swindled in every freaking way possible, even though I thought I was pretty saavy. Well, this time I was so prepared. I walked in, told them I want VIN # blah blah blah, I have a blank check, and we took no prisoners! :rotfl: I even got $3000 for Kyle's car with 115K miles, when they initially offered us $1000 max. :thumbsup2

Sorry that picture is enormous! It wasn't that big on the site, they must autosize or something. I don't have the energy this morning to save it, upload it, resize it etc so I'll try and find a different one! :rotfl:

myBob and his dd just left. We had a fun day bowling and playing in the arcade. Then we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner. That's her favorite place. They brought her out an ice cream sundae and had the whole restaurant sing happy bday to her. She turned beet red. Then we came back to my house and opened presents. The kids and I got her the Hannah Montana Dance Along, and boy was that fun. The 4 of us were "rocking out the show" while myBob was a couch potato. I have some pictures that I will upload later. Then we had cake and ice cream and they left. I just got my kids into bed. Nicholas has come down with a head cold. He was up at 2AM this morning complaining that he couldn't breath. I gave him some decongestant, but it didn't last long. He was up again at 6:45, so he is one tired puppy. I hope he kicks it quick and that Alyssa and I don't get it.

What a fun day! I know you've mentioned this, but how old is his DD again?

Congrats on the new car. What did you get?

I'm planning on putting our tree up on Friday. We are never home over Thanksgiving weekend (we've always been at my parents), so I'm going to take advantage of the long weekend and get things up early.

Early?! :faint: See, I'm such a dork! I'm freaking out about doing it Monday, since it would ALREADY be the same weeks as Thanksgiving, and I've usually had it up at least a week by then! :rotfl:

Thanks for the congrats.... see my post to Jen a bit earlier :)

I've been putting the Vicks on Nicholas too. So far it's stayed in his nose. I hope it doesn't travel to his chest.[/QUOTE]

It's too early to be awake or something.... I thought you were referring to the Vicks, and I thought "It's supposed to START on the chest!" :rotfl:

Sorry i keep whining to you guys..its so hard right now to be home alone. My poor brother is in texas for a wedding and im waiting for him to call me. So here i sit, waiting for the phone to ring..You guys are the only ones around to talk so i apologize

Jen, stop apologizing! :goodvibes You need someone to "talk" with, and the DDA is here. You are definitely in my prayers... please let us know when you have more answers!

Tammi, I LOVE the pictures of all the kids! They look like they have a blast together! :goodvibes

I haven't spoken with him - barely talked to him before he left. He knows I'm not supportive of this move, so that doesn't leave much to say...

My parents have spoken to him just a little. Staying with some "friend" down there right now. He supposedly had a job interview for a mgmt. position with Publix on Thursday, but when my parents asked about it when he called them that night, he quickly got off the phone, saying he would tell them about it later. (And needless to say, he hasn't called them back.) So, I'm sure it didn't pan out. He purportedly has already blown through $500 in the week he's been there - he only left with about $1400. Who knows what's going to happen? :confused3 Needless to say, we won't see him for Thanksgiving, which will be hard, particularly on my parents. I'm just hoping he doesn't pull some drama before/during our trip. I don't know that I could forgive him if he did. :sad2:

Thanks for asking, but you can see it's not the greatest of news, and I'm not feeling the sibling love right now...

I can't imagine how hard this is on you....

I've been tempted to get the Disney Scene It. That probably would get used more than the Monopoly game. I just have this addiction to Disney! :lmao: Know anyone else with the same affliction? :rotfl:

::yes:: I pretty much need all of the Disney games. We bough Disney Sorry even though we already owned the Sorry birthday game (just an anniversary edition), and even though we're adults that rarely play Sorry! We also have the regular Disney monopoly, along with 2 other monopolies..... and I HATE that game, in any variety! :rotfl:
