I have a boy cousin named Tristan. I love the name. He and his wife just had a girl baby that they named Isolde. They are really into medieval romances, so they figured that Tristan should have an Isolde.

Snow?!

Yup! We had rain all day yesterday, and during the night it turned to snow. Luckily, it wasn't much, and it melted quickly, but it's still really cold!

New recipe: Creamy ham and egg casserole. We woke up to snow, and I want something warm and comforting!

Everything is great. How are things with you?

Really good! I was really in a funk yesterday, but things are better today. Alan is working from home, today, so it's kind of fun to see his face around here. I think we're going to try to go out tonight to see a movie or grab dinner somewhere. Keep your fingers crossed!

Your story about Alan reminded me of when my youngest DD was born. She was a C section, and when Richie saw her he said, "It's Purple!", I guess he thought she would come out all clean and cuddly.

please keep that until Monday (but it looks like it's supposed to be here on Sunday). We have the marching band finals and then a special day2serve (or church done differently) on Sunday and we have been given an outside assignment!!

Put roast in crock pot with one packet of Au jus mix and about 1/2 cup of water....cook until meat is done to your liking (usually about 4 hours on low for us but I had a HUGE roast this time, still partially frozen so it's going to have about 7 hours).

make another packet of au jus for dipping.
sautee onions

toast the provolone on the bread til melted, add meat and onions and you are done!!

Well.....put the au jus in a bowl to dip into...then you really are done!!


This is quick, fairly cheap and ohhhhh so yummy!!

That sounds even easier than the WFD recipe! Thanks! I marked it down, and I think Alan might be happy on Saturday with a french dip sammie!

I gotta say I agree with them but I never have learned how to pronounce Isolde...can you help??

The first syllable is pronounced just like "is" then it's just "sold". The final e is silent.

I just read the Moms Panel thread on the TPAS board and somebody compiled a list of DISers who are in the next round. NONE of them have over 1000 posts. One lady has 3000 posts and says she made it, but she didn't. She is confused. She made it to the Movie panel, NOT the Moms panel. So I am sticking to my story that none of us made it because our post counts are too high. (I don't know how they cross referenced, but they are Disney so I am sure they figured it out!)

I don't think I could have had a 10lb 10 oz baby vag as a first timer, I had a hard enough time being induced with RJ at 8lbs 6 oz lol .. M&M was a breeze at 7lbs 14 oz lol

Becky, I'm sorry your week has been so wonky. I wish airfaire was a little cheaper so you could go and surprise all of the DDAers. How's the bank situation coming along ?

I'm trying to remember what else I read, after I got back from the store last night. Oh yes somehow, I left the house ALONE and went shopping ALONE and drove home in absolute QUIET.... I snuck in the house and to my surprise it was quiet in here .... for all of 15 seconds lol .. The kids were running around upstairs, Butch was on the phone with one of his buddy's for the first time in months.. and I seriously thought for a second " Maybe I should walk right back out the door, they never ehard me come in ..." LOL instead I walked upstairs, asked the kids why they were being soo loud at 8PM. Told them to park their butts.. and at that time butch Puts the phone on speaker phone and I hear his buddy trailing off with" put those kids on valium or something" , so I said back loud enough for him to hear .. " they don't need valium, they need a stricter Poppa, who tells them it's time to sit and get ready for bed", I didn't mean for it to come across maliciously really I didn't but apparently that's how both of the guys took it and the call ended soon after. So once I got things put away, I had Butch call his buddy back and appologized for it coming across snarky, and they went on talking for another hour while I got the kids in the tub and in bed.

I finally got caught up on all the laundry from the last almost 2 weeks and it only took 3 days. Remind me never to put aside laundry to CLEAN HOUSE lol.

Tonight will be a late night for us and the kids. Butch's Aunt lands at 10:15 and that's if it's on time and there's no problems caused by the weather forcast. This weekend will be quiet on my end of the posting ( as it usually is), But please don't kill me with 100 pages to catch up on lol.
