What about Friday May 19- Monday, May 22

I just put in a Vacation package on expedia and got a quote that includes my airfare and a 2 bedroom villa - with beds for 4 people for $564 or a 4 bedroom villa with beds for 7 people at $683

if there were 4 of us - we could split the villa cost and each pay $100

if there were 7 of us - we could still each pay $100 and I could fly for free just kidding - we could $72 for the villa

that would be a great deal!! Would anyone be driving and have a car - really car rental should not be that much if we needed to do that!!!

This makes it so tempting!!!!!!! but DH freaks out when I go to Bunko for one night, much less leaving him with Kyle for a whole weekend!!

Hi, Kate.

I didn't post an update as I don't want to always be a downer, but, no, life is not good right now. Rees' surgery went well, but I am having a rough time with all his new diagnosis. We had a bad meeting with his specialist on Thursday, and she suggested he may be even further up the Autism spectrum. He is doing better with the anxiety. He starts his evals on Friday for Special Ed in Kindergarten. The team suggested a self-contained room instead of mainstream, so I am devestated. I don't feel that is appropriate for Rees, so it's off to battle again. Still waiting on a court date for the Medicaid, and he wasn't invited to 2 b'day parties this weekend. It's been tough.

We find out today if my grandmother has breast cancer (the biopsy was yesterday). Her sister had it 2 years ago. John's had the real flu for 8 days now (fever of 102 even with meds), and I've made myself sick with all this worry and am having terrible stomach issues. Oh, and the topper is DH works for BellSouth and they announced yesterday that ATT is buying them, so now that's a whole new set of crud.

Brantley-Kate and Davis are doing well. The boys start Karate on Thursday.

Thanks for asking, but I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear!

I heard about bellsouth but also heard this morning that the city of ATL are going to try get them to move the corporate office here with huge incentives.

This makes it so tempting!!!!!!! but DH freaks out when I go to Bunko for one night, much less leaving him with Kyle for a whole weekend!!

I love Bunko!! I can't find a group of friends to play it with on a regular basis though!!

My Grandma would be the one freaking out...I went to the ballet and then a Christmas party for Bunko and she flipped out on me because I wasn't home parenting (for a whopping 7 hours!). What really bugged her is I wasn't home to cook. Should be interesting her reaction to my going on a retreat this weekend.

When are we arriving on Friday?? I will be flying in from Atlanta and will fly out on Sunday evening. I don't have the vacation days for a Friday and a Monday.

Am I overreacting to this - or would this bother you too?

This happened over a week ago and I really can't get it out of my head

Julia and I pulled in our neighborhood behind the school bus - a woman I know was waiting in her minivan for the bus to pick up her kindergartner

her van door was open and he hopped in the van - the van was facing towards the direction of her house and she had to drive about 10 houses to get home - the door to her van was not closed and her son stood behind her holding on to her headrest and she started to drive home - they went about one house and he saw some of his friends walking and he leaned out the car door to yell at them and talk to them - and SHE KEPT DRIVING!!!!

I came home and Julia kept asking me "why would she let him do that - doesn't she want him to be safe?" when DH got home she told him that she had something very bad to tell him - and told him the story

I can see her not making him buckle up for the short drive home - but not closing the door -

Steve and I have already made the decision that our children will not be allowed with this family alone again - but I just wonder if this is something she does all the time - what if he fell out and under the car?!? I just can't get it out of my head

so tell me - what do you all think of this?

That is amazing, I don't even like to start the car with the doors open never mind driving it!!!! Some people just don't think of the consequences to their actions!!!

We got back on Feb 22. We had an awsome trip. As soon as we got home I got really sick on top of being exhausted from the trip. Then my computer went out and had to buy a new one and get everything switched over for work. Still working on the switching over part.

I sent the Piglet and got a personalized get well autograph from Piglet to send to the little girl who was burned.

WISHES was awsome. I just cannot express how it made me feel. I was so touched by it.

Marti I get thinking about a Dole whip but never saw one the whole time we were there. I really was going to try one. I love pineapples.

The T-shirts were a HUGE hit. I had comments on them everyday. I saw a woman on the run at the Orlando Airport who asked if I was a Disser? Did not have time to talk to her. If this was any one you let me know?

The autograph pages were also a HUGE hit. The characters really gave us attention for them. My DS5 and great neice 6 loved all the attention they got. We got like 45+ autographs.

Overall we had an absolute great time. I will post pictures as soon as I can get them uploaded to the new computer. I have to find my Kodak software to connect my camera. We also bought the photopass CD and the guy added extras to every single one of our pictures. I was so impressed with this. We got 87 pictures with the additions for $99.00. Luckily I asked on our last day there and found out this had to be purchased at the WDW and could not be purchased on line. We missed out first Magical Express bus to the Airport because I was getting this made.

Glad you are back and it sounds like a fab trip

Do you get RadioDisney in your area? I was at lunch today and over the radio the new grand prize was announced as lunch with Troy & Gabriella from High School Musical!! Thought of my daughter first (Zac Efron is hot!! according to her...even if he has long hair ) and then you second!!

Last weekend in April is Skunka's birthday - so that might be tough for me. I think first weekend in June is ok - but is it terribly hot there yet? Fall also works very well for me and may for others so that there can be some planning time and money saving time. Is this a pipe dream or do others like the idea (besides me, Lynn and Kate)?

I like the idea, first weekend in June I will be getting off the Magic on Saturday AM....sob sob!!

Uhh, hello?????? I posted I wanted to go and even have a ticket to fly! I can't do June as it's BK's Ballet recital. what if we did the fall (Sept or Oct) when it's not crowded and Value Season? Then we can all save up!

I cannot do Sept but will definately need it after DMIL goes home after 3 months

Okay - I need prayers - major prayers - for a family in my parish - I do not know him but he is a 3rd grader in our religious program -

they just called to tell me that Father could not make the classes I had planned for tonight b/c he has to go to give this little boy last rights

yesterday he complained that his spine was hurting - they aren't sure what is wrong with him but it is not expected that he will make it through the night

could you please just send him prayers -

I know that my DH would be okay with the girls weekend in Disney. After all, his flight just got in from his week long ski trip to Utah with his buddy, so he owes me. Any weekend in spring would be ok for me except for April 30, as far as I can tell. October would be bad, since we already have our trip then booked. Would everyone rather stay off-site than at a Value?

I jsut asked steve what he thought and he said he was all for it EXCEPT staying home alone with the kids all night for a weekend with no one else - without any help - all by himself - did I know he is a man - he has never done that before -

Good quality time for him and the kids will be great, my DH takes them to all the restaurants I don't like, spoils them and they love it and we do the same if he is out of town.

I wish that would work with my DH! He's been with me once in 1993 and again 3 times (2004 twice and 2005) with our 3 children. He's just so anxious that it makes him nervous to be there. Our last trip was a nightmare. He's on meds now so I'm hopeful next trip will be better.

That is exactly my DH! I hope that his meds help enough for him to enjoy the trip. I've got the same hopes for our big family trip next year. Hopefully, DH's anxiety is relieved enough by then to enjoy some time with both a big group and the crowds.

Well I finally caught up and now it looks like you are all gone, I made my favorite for dinner, roman lamb and couscous now I am doing math HW with DS, DH has gone to golf and dropped DD at gym so we will eat when they get home.

Dh's company got the contract I told you guys about last week!!! He will be working a lot but we will get a nice bonus when all is said and done!!!!

We will see a lot less of him - but it will be worth it!!! Hey - guess that gives me more time to DIS, design or make bags!!!

Congratulations! That is great news for DH and his company.

I think its a "count me on on May 19-22" I think the idea of staying off site is a good one, but I'd miss the Disney magic of being on site. There's a SMALL chance that Skunka and Matt are going that weekend for Star Wars weekend, so it may not be a choice for me - I'd have to stay with them, but hang with the girls for the weekend.

And Lynn, if you don't have vacation time and can only come for the Sat/Sun, then book what you can do and we'll work with it! Heck, this is supposed to relieve stress, not add to it!!!

Denise - does this weekend work for you?

Does anybody have any extra AirTran credits they could send over to my account???? I'd have a better chance of going if I had 5.5 more credits!!
