Anyone watch Dancing with the Stars? Even if not, get this.

One of my professors has a "Vote for Drew and Cheryl" sign in her office window. And she is wearing a pin that says the same. So we were all set to make fun of her.....

...and it turns out she's Drew Lachey's aunt. No joke. This also makes her Nick's aunt...

So we are working on her to get him to come to our Wrap-Up celebration thing the first week of May

Nose cauterization (2nd time) on both sides and removal of excess nasal tissue that keeps causing severe nose bleeds. Poor kid always has something.

FINALLY......

I, too, have some great news to share

My DH has been offered a great job as Controller for a family-friendly company! Woo Hoo!!

Thanks again to all my wonderful friends here who listened to me vent about his current employer and were kind enough to ask about his job search and send prayers and PD. DH is grinning from ear to ear. He's going from a company that asked him to take a paycut, didn't give him the promised Christmas bonus, and didn't even give him a card for his birthday, to a company that wants to take us out to eat Saturday night to celebrate the new job! He will give his two week notice this Friday (and even after all his current boss has put him through, including taking the credit for all the awesome things my DH has implemented in the year he has been there, he feels bad about leaving with just a year of work there) and start the new job on March 16th.

Thanks again for all your support during his job search.

Hello all! My Disney euphoric bubble was burst only two days after we got home.
My DD got so sick, she couldn't eat or drink anything for four days,took her to the doctor, and with meds she finally is getting better now.
I then got trying to take care of her while my wife was working longer hours, trying to get caught up after our vacation. I am just starting to feel a little better now also.
DW then had a scheduled surgery on her hand (carpal tunnel release) that she just had done today. She will be off of work for a few weeks with that. The surgeon also found some cysts on her wrist and removed them also. He said that they were clear and that she will be o.k.
My Mom just found out that she has uterine cancer. I took her to Columbus today. They are scheduling a total hysterectomy (sp?) on the 15th of March. They are also removing her galbladder then also. The ct scan showed that she had a porcelain galbladder and that was a sign of cancer also. We are hoping and praying all goes well with that. PD for us please.
So if I am not on for awhile, or posting, please know that I am thinking of you all and am praying that all is well.
It seems that a lot PD is needed all around.
Thanks for letting me get this out, it makes me feel a little better just talking about it, and not holding it in.

Hi, everyone. Thanks for the PMs and calls. We aren't doing the show because DH backed out and my MIL was her usual self and made it impossible for us to sell certain items that she *GAVE* to us...

We worked a lot out. After 11 years of marriage, I'm sure everyone has had ups and downs. It's been such a stressful time anyway with Rees and the Medicaid. This was just my final straw.

I will be around, but only during the day. I'm going to stay off the computer at night and focus on my DH and the kdis.

Hugs to all going through stuff. Hoping this turns around soon for us ALL! Oh, and my grandmother just called. Her mammogram is very suspect and she goes Monday for a biopsy. Her sister already has had breast cancer. Boy, when it rains it pours.

I can't even imagine how hard it is for your whole family at the extra-stressful times like this. Take care of yourself and your family, and check in as little or much as you need. We aren't going anywhere.

I am SOOOOOOOOO in love with Nick , so if he does come you have to give me a heads up as to when and where!!! My daughter (5) told me the other day that when she goes to college she will probably meet Nick and he will be her boyfriend!!! I didn't have the heart to tell her that when she goes to college he will be almost 50.

So do you go to UC, I know that Nick is very into UC and was very vocal when Bob Huggins got fired, I remember that he wrote an article in which he talked about his grandfather and another family member(I think) being a professor there. I have just been watching Dancing with the Stars for Drew only (I think he's SO cute too) and to see Nick in the audience, and I even voted the last few weeks (I know I'm a Dork ), I SO hope he wins, He really is VERY good!!!


I just re-read all of this and I really sound like I have a major problem!!!

She said she was "on" 2 of the episodes, ones with larger groups. She said she was around when a few more were filmed but only appears in TV footage for 2 of them. Someone's wedding or something.... and then a Christmas thing??...... I don't know, I never watched it. But the girl who was in the hallway with me was freaking out, and that was her first question to her!

ETA: I'll ask my friend. I'm sure she can tell you EXACTLY what episodes she's in, and then describe in detail the scene, her exact location, etc

Hi all...

Must be something in the air...things seem tough all over. I have my hands full with Bill's mother....trying to figure out the best scenario for her...i.e live alone, live alone with some community services, assisted living.

Denise, I so know how you feel now...the medicaid process has me about ready to throw myself in the river. I have never in my life seen so much paperwork, most which is redundant to the last.

Unfortunately I am in my resentful mood...I have my own mother to deal with etc. etc. etc. hopefully it will pass quickly!!

Sending good vibes everyones' way...lord knows we could all use them!!!

I honestly would not mind having a file folder for Nick Lachey!!! In fact just the other day I asked DH if he would mind if I put up magazine pictures of Nick in our bedroom (I was only kidding---Maybe), sort of like grade school!!! I just absolutely LOVE him!!!!

Ok, I'm really not trying to be a downer, but Rees' surgery for his nose is Tuesday (I forgot completely about it). The surgery center just called for his pre-op. Calgon, Take me Away!

I did have to check my DVD's to be sure, but I had a pretty good idea which ones she would probably be in !!! I hope you can score major points with her for having this information, or on second thought maybe you should keep this to yourself!!
