elizabeth- you have to go to the pharmacy to get your depo stuff and take it to the doctor? i just go to my doc and they have it and inject. thats weird.

Okay time to get a shower and head to work. I will try to check in later if things are nice at work.

you will have to post the recipe for the chocolate crinkles and snicker doodles.
Here's a link to chocolate crinkles. Thanks to Vicki for the snicker doodles.

It is officially Fall here, and she's going to need warm jammies and sweats for this trip! We even had snow here yesterday. Luckily, it didn't last, but it sure gave us a taste of what's to come!
:scared1:

Your pancake recipes look great!

I was scanning the other boards and saw these Mickey head tree ornaments.

Thanks! That looks like something I could do!

We had a ball at MNSSHP. The weather was PERFECT! A nice breeze blowing, and NO HUMIDITY! What a wonderful night!

I am so happy to hear you had a wonderful night!!!!! You all look great!

Got Owen's room painted and a load of stuff taken to the dump. We took the van in to get it inspected and it failed because of the brakes. :scared1: so, we'll have to get that fixed. The van wouldn't start yesterday either when we went to take it back to the dealership. When it rains it pours. :sad1:
Congrats on the room! :wizard: Goodluck with the car!

Well I got up at 6:00 AM CST to check whether we were working today. There was nothing on the official website so I looked in my email and nothing there either. I went back to the official website. Lo & Behold: they have settled it. It kind of irks me that they posted at 7:05 AM EST (most of Michigan time) that we had to be at work at 8:00 AM. I'm glad we have work today but they sure are expecting a lot, aren't they? Less than an hour to prepare & go to work. For me, it wasn't an issue but those with kids, etc. have a lot more to deal with than I do.
Glad they got it settled! Doesn't seem like the politicians care too much about the state employees.

Just checking in....

It has been tough here lately....I kept trying to get a hold of Bill's mother, after a day we went over there and found her laying on the bedroom floor. She was in the hospital for a week....she is too far gone cognitively, so we had to put her in a nursing home. We did this on Saturday. I am having terrible guilt feelings. Just going to place gives me a panic attack. We need to clean out her place in the next 3 days:scared1::scared1::scared1: whereas all her money will now go to the nursing home. It's a heartbreaking situation.

I haven't made a single t shirt for the trip....but I am looking forward to going.

As I told Deb via PM...her Mickey/Minnie lights are FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 I am so sorry! I've been there.

yes please let me know which building to request. I think we will have a rental car when we go.
For my 2 trips I stayed in the Tramp building top floor/lakeside. Very quiet and pretty close. The bowling pin pool is usually a bit less crowded than the Hippity Dippity pool. I've never used the computer pool. For my Nov trip I've requested 60's lakeside for a change. Joe really wants to stay in the 70's for his 7th birthday trip. So ask again when its time to make your reservation as I may have more experience with different locations then.

I found out the library at my office has consumer reports. :thumbsup2 The LG steam got the top rating but it is also the most expensive. The Whirlpool, Kenmore, and Maytag Epic all got very good ratings. They did say that because the government instituted new energy regulations January 1st you pretty much have to buy a front loader washer these days.

I went to Sears at lunch and the saleswoman was pushing the Kenmore. They did have the LG. She said the Maytag Epic is made by Whirlpool. Whirlpool bought out Maytag about a year ago.

DH was going to the local appliance guy today. I would prefer to buy from them.

Kristine, I'm sorry to hear about your MIL.

Deb, those lamps are absolutely too cute! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the recipes, Glynis! They look yummy.

elizabeth- you have to go to the pharmacy to get your depo stuff and take it to the doctor? i just go to my doc and they have it and inject. thats weird.

When I first started the shots I got them at my family Dr, but he moved his office really far away so I started getting them from the GYN when I moved to the infectious disease lady as my primary Dr. A long time ago the GYN used to stock the med in the office, but they stopped so I HAVE to get it from the pharmacy. The insurance we have now doesn't cover the med but it is only like $37 for the generic at Sam's.

BUT every once in awhile my sneaky Dr's office will bill the insurance FOR THE MED!:scared1: They don't even stock the med in their office, but I have seen it listed on my invoices from the insurance! Now the insurance won't cover it, so they don't pay. BUT if there are insurance co's that DO cover it then the Dr is getting paid for the med AND the patient is paying for it OOP at the pharmacy. I have never been able to decide if their billing clerks are stupid or fraudulent. I know they code things wrong and I end up paying for an office visit every time I see the nurse for a shot.:headache: They also like to bill for lab procedures I specifically opted OUT of. My HPV screen has always come back negative and they are EXPENSIVE, so I told them last year that I didn't want one. I even signed a form saying I didn't want it and they ran it anyway! Boneheads.

They did finally call me back today. She claims the pharmacy never called them. Hmm. I have to say I have more faith in the pharmacy than the Dr's office. The same girls have been at that pharmacy for a long time and I trust them. Anyway, the nurse was going to call in a Depo refill for me and I am going in for my shot and my exam on Wednesday. I figure it is better to get it out of the way and worry about switching Drs sometime when I am not due for a shot RIGHT NOW. I will call the Dr. I want to switch to tomorrow and see what I need to do to get changed over.

ok. yeah my doc has recently started having to pay copay just to get a shot. i dont remember having to do it before. my insurance wont pay for shot either even tho i am not taking a a birth control. i am going to meet with doc in 2 weeks to see if i can get off and have some procedure done so i dont have to keep taking depo or some other pill so i dont have tom. tom is just really messy for someone in a wheelchair(sorry if tmi).

Ugh! DS and DH both had upset stomachs during the night and this morning. We all ate the same thing for dinner and I feel fine, so that was odd. DS said he felt OK and he went to school. DH is off today. I talked to him earlier and he said he still felt sick. I just called him to ask if he checked the mail (gotta know if we got more PINS!) and he is GROUCHY! He said he took his temp and it is 102! He is in the car on the way to get DS.

DH is off tomorrow, too, which is good. I just hope DS doesn't start feeling really sick and running a fever!:scared:

I have seen a procedure like that advertised but I can't think what it is called.

In the VERY beginning I could get my shot at my family Dr. for a $15 co-pay. As we have switched insurance and Drs it has prgressed to where I am now - $37 for the med and who-knows-how-much for the office visit.:sad2: The Dr. likes to bill me, then wait awhile and send me a bill for a little bit more. And all the visits run together on the bill so I can never really tell how much I am being billed for each visit. Throw an annual exam in there that is covered at a different rate than other office visits and add in that lag time for processing and I really have NO IDEA how much this is all costing me.:sad2:

Hi everyone!
My first day went well. My co-workers are nice. I have to learn alot there but so far so good! I did love being around all that Disney stuff I can tell ya!
Must have self control not to blow my whole paycheck on "cute" Disney stuff.;)

i went last month for my shot and had to shell out $93 dollars ($20 co-pay $73 shot). my friend who told me about depo got some procedure done where they burn the uterus. so i might see about that. i dont know.

:wizard: that dh feels better soon & that you & ds do not come down with it!

Yikes! I heard about a scraping procedure, not a burning procedure!:scared1: It might be cheaper for you to pick up your med from the pharmacy.

I'm glad you had a great first day, Anne Marie!

Yay for a great first day! Retail isn't all that difficult, you just have to learn all the standards and stuff. You'll do terrific!!:goodvibes

:wizard: that dh feels better soon & that you & ds do not come down with it!

Thanks! DS did have to use the potty at school (which he HATES) but he doesn't feel too bad.

We got the rest of our pins today, but one order is kind of wonky. He switched out 2 of our pins for different ones and added in one I didn't win. Which is fine with me because we are using them for traders, so one pin is as good as another. The problem is what if someone who bought a pin ON PURPOSE wants the pin they paid for and he doesn't have it anymore? I need to go through the order one by one when I get home and then e-mail him to see what he wants to do. I'm not going to pay shippig to send them back because it was HIS mistake, but I will send them back if he would like me to do that. I also need to point out that he sent an extra one.

I promise I've read but since I am doing it undercover(can't get caught at work again:lmao: ) I am just going to send out a bucketload of pixie dust and congrats to everyone.

Please be thinking about Littleton on Thursday morning. We had a young man who survived the Columbine shooting who went on to serve in the military. He was killed last week in Afghanistan. His funeral will be held here at my work church on Thursday morning. The stupid people who picket military funerals have heard about it and are planning to be at the funeral. Hopefully because of a venue change (family didn't realize how much military presence there would be) they will be picketing the wrong spot. But this will be a huge funeral either way.
