Tom love the outfits.

Can't wait to read all about your trip.

Have a great time.

Thanks Jennifer!

Remember, I will post my trip report while the other DDAers are having a great time in the World!

I guess that they will just have to wade through all the posts to find it!;)

Tom - LOVE the outfits! You are about set now, aren't you?!? :thumbsup2

Deb - I just do NOT understand why the boys wouldn't wear one of Mr. Hancock's Creations! :confused3

Tammi- Got the MadHatter Hat today! Thanks! I am sure my brother appreciates it!:lmao:
Oh good. I hope it wasn't smooshed too badly. I sort of crammed it in there.

The outfits are adorable. You really need to teach me how to make those hair bows. I went to one of our kid boutiques downtown last weekend with the intention of buying some but I just couldn't bring myself to pay 7 to 9 dollars for a hair bow!

Robyn-belated birthday wishes to you!party: :bday: :cake:
Prayers for your aunt and uncle. :grouphug:

Glynis-Loved your wedding TR! I really enjoyed reading about how well the tomboys handled the situation. What a special day!

Afternoon everyone,

Well we're under a Tropical Storm warning, they have issued a mandantory evacuation for those who are still in Fema trailers, and the winds have actually started to pick up. I don't expect a lot from this one, but it should make for an interesting weekend.
:wizard: Hope its mild and over fast!

Seems kind of vague, if you ask me. "Crazy Disney Lady" could very easily mean any one of us. (Except Tom.) Now if you wanted to go with Crazy Disney PIN Lady...:lmao:
CDPL sounds perfect!:thumbsup2

I just got yelled at by Channon while I was on another thread. (just kidding, she beat me over the head with a fish :rotfl: )
How nice to see you! Thanks for the update!

Well I had no luck ordering the Wii games at TRU online so I went to the store today & got

Pokemon
Mario Party 8
Wii Play w/ extra remote
Boogie w/ microphone
Mario Strikers
Carnival

The games are buy 2 get 1 free. I hope these are good games, I know nothing about this....Now I just have to get the Wii itself!

This is a group Christmas gift for my kiddies.
Congrats! I need Christmas ideas.

Well Mr. Hancock is almost completely done with his projects!;)
WOW!!!!!:worship: :worship: :worship:

I am footloose and fancy free this weekend! Bob went back to PA to spend some more time with his parents. If he is lucky he will get to bring his Mom home from the hospital. I hope that is the case because his Dad is about to go nuts without her around!

I have to decide what I want to do with my time. The laundry is done, the house is clean (well, as clean as I care to get it!), all my "work" work is done too.

I had the chance to go to WDW with other Disney friends this weekend, and now I wish I had opted to fly down there tonight and back on Monday morning! But I couldn't see spending $175 for the flight plus food money for 48 hours there when I will be there for a week next month.

Hi Paula. I miss seeing those adorable girls. How is it really going with the step daughter?
not so bad, so far she has done what is needed. She has only given us a little guff.

Hi Paula!!!

Hi

I am footloose and fancy free this weekend! Bob went back to PA to spend some more time with his parents. If he is lucky he will get to bring his Mom home from the hospital. I hope that is the case because his Dad is about to go nuts without her around!

Oh, that would have been a hard choice. I can see why you had an issue.

So cool!, great job Tom.

I did not take notes so much of this is from memory-mostly from photos. I do remember that the kids had a difficult getting to sleep the night before we left. My plan was to leave the house around 5:30am. I wanted to take the 6:15 boat to the airport and it’s a 15 minute ride without any traffic. I wanted a little extra time for traffic and to park the car, buy the boat tickets, get on down the boat ramp. We must have left the house around 5:50. We pulled into the boat yard at 6:08:scared1: . We found a great parking spot but then DH saw a sign on the ground that said “employee parking only”. It looked it had been put there out of the way-not just fallen over so I insisted we not move the car as we didn’t have time. When we went to the office to buy the tickets they told us to do that on the boat. We were the last ones on the boat. It was a cool 50ish degrees so no sitting outside on this boat ride. When we got to the airport a bus came right away to take us to the terminal. When I took the boat in May we waited a good 20 minutes for the bus. The driver was really wonderful and helped us both on and off the bus. We only had a short wait to check our 1 bag. I had printed our boarding passes at home and Jet Blue has a special line for just checking in bags. When we got to our gate the flight before ours was still there so we had to find seats at another gate. I did check to see if the 8:45 flight had any seats but it was full. We got some breakfast at Dunkin Donuts and some snacks for lunch on the plane. Emma drew a picture. I had actually never seen her seen draw such a detail picture before. Lizzy drew pictures of Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger to give to them when we had a character meal with them. I think Joe was just watching the planes and eating breakfast-he's my good eater.

I think you've got some budding artists there, Bernadette.

We had a good flight and landed a bit early. I told DH I would walk ahead to check into ME and somehow he misunderstood and just went to sit down a long ways back from ME. After I checked in with ME I tried to call his cell but he hadn’t turned his back on yet. So I walked back to find him (and the kids). We had a short wait before getting on the bus. The ME bus was completely full. Not a single empty seat. Check in at POR took a while. They had put us in building #35-close to a bus stop but a long ways from the food court. I asked if we could get anything closer and they put in #17. A lot closer but still a bit of a hike. Our room was ready so we went to get a bit settled in. I called bell services about our grocery delivery and after about 30 minutes on hold I hung up and tried again. They said they would deliver in about 30 minutes. I left DH & kids in the room while I went back to the concierge desk to upgrade DH, Emma & Lizzy’s tickets. They said I couldn't remove my or Joe's 1 ticket from the room keys and that I should wait til last day to upgrade Lizzy’s ticket to an AP as it would mess up our meal plan. So I just upgraded her to a 10 day ticket. I also wanted to buy tickets for the next night’s P&PP. They couldn’t sell me the tickets with the AP discount at the resort. They called Guest Services at DTD but they were useless. He finally called the AP line and they were able to take my order over the phone. I thanked the CM for his persistence! I had remember this CM from last May Aug trips to POFQ and was helpful then too. I called DH to see if Bell Services had delivered the groceries to see if I needed to go hunt them down and he said that the groceries, our mailed packages, my minimus order and ME bag had all been delivered. I unpacked a bit and it was soon time for dinner at Boatwrights. Joe was happy to hold the beeper. I wanted a photo of the kids without the beeper but when Joe tried to put his arms around the girls Lizzy get all cranky. Joe & Lizzy were chosen to open the restaurant with the dinner bell and all 3 kids got a special certificates to remember the event. Dinner was excellent. They let us have milk shakes for drinks-even the kids. Joe drank his too fast and thought he was going to get sick. DH took him to the bathroom but he still didn’t feel well. I went to take him back to the room and left a sleeping Emma and Lizzy and ½ my dinner with DH. As soon as we got outside Joe felt better so I went back in to get Emma so DH could carry the food back to the room. Emma soon woke up (it would have been a VERY long walk back to the room carrying her). Joe was all better when Lizzy & DH finished dinner so we went for a swim. The kids LOVED swimming at night. At 9pm I was the ogre who said it was time for a bath and bed if they were ever going to get up in the morning. Didn’t take long for them to fall asleep! Lizzy kept saying "I can't believe we are really in Disney" and niether could I.

Good night. I won't be on until late tomorrow night.

Deb

Night Deb. I hope your back is feeling better. Don't over do it tomorrow at the car show.

okay I am going to read a bit before I head to bed. I work my last 12 hr shift tomorrow. Then Sun. I start 8hr shifts 3pm to 11pm.

After a late night swim I let the others sleep (you can NOT imagine how difficult it was for me to stay in bed til 8am at Disney ….anyone who has ever been with me before knows this has NEVER happened before). We started the morning at Epcot. It was strange to see Spaceship Earth without the Mickey Hand but it didn't look as naked as I had thought it would. My kids had never seen it without the hand but they didn’t seem to really notice (or care) that it was gone. [Emma wants to watch my Epcot DVD nearly every night. After we had been home for a few weeks she asked me when they would put the hand back up. I told here they weren't going to and she cried for at least half an hour.] We got fast passes for Soarin when we arrived. The fast pass time was for about 2:00.

DSC03401.jpg

We rode the Living with the Land boat ride and saw the Mickey shaped pumpkins. Lizzy was the one who noticed the lettuce Mickey head. We rode this ride again with Terry & Halley a few days later and that lettuce was all gone and a new batch planted. We also went to the Lion King show on conservation at the Land pavilion.

We got fast passes for Test Track. We spent some time at the Innoventions building. Joe had wanted to try the Where is Fire exhibit last year but it broke when it was our turn. He was very excited to able to try this year but it was very hard to do. You had to point a flashlight at a fire hazard. The problem was you all had to point at the same thing. I was on a team with Joe & Emma. It wasn’t easy trying to point 3 flash lights at the same time. The kids were picked for a lady bug release. We saw Beaker and Prof Honeydoo (sp?) from the Muppets out for their first day. This was during the lady bug release so we didn’t really see too much of them-just a quick photo. I hope they are still there in Nov as the show looked very interesting.

I honestly can't remember if we did Test Track next or Figment’s Journey into your Imagination. All the kids love the Figment ride but Joe has to hold his nose during the “stinky” part when Figment turns into a skunk. We went to greet Figment and the kids loved the funny house mirrors. The kids found the upside down waterfall at the Imagination pavilion very magical.

Emma LOVES Test Track!!! I just now realized that I am missing the ride photo from this time on Test Track but we went on a few more times. Before we left Epcot we road Soarin. Last year Emma HATED this ride. She even said that very morning she would never ride it again but when it was time to ride she agreed to try if she sat between Lizzy & me. She ended up really loving it this year. I was very relieved that she enjoyed it as it is a favorite for all of us. After Soarin we went back to the resort to change for the Pirate & Princess Party at the Magic Kingdom. I was hoping we would have time for nap but we ended up getting to the park too late in the morning and had to settle for a 15 minute “rest” instead of a real nap. In the middle of the night on our first night Emma woke up saying she was afraid of the AC-it was very loud. I didn’t call about it but when we got back from Epcot they had installed a brand new unit while we were out.

We love that fountain too, Bernadette! Here is a photo I took during the F&W Festival last year...
