What a shame that the first party is being rained on!:guilty: I would be really disappointed. I hope it doesn't rain all night. I don't imagine they will have Captain Jack out for MVMCP, but if they do I really don't know if I would stand in a long line to see him. We waited quite awhile last year for Belle & Beast and that was tedious.

I just read the police log from when I called them about the neighbor and all it said was "outside fire". I was worried it would said "neighbor reported fire". DH talked to neighbor a few days ago and she didn't mention it. I still think (know) I did the right thing but I was worried what she would think.

Just did---The oncologist there confirmed that there is nothing they can do that will cure this cancer. They are going to try a 'mild' round of chemo to see if that will slow the spreading of the cancer. They will try that for 3 weeks, and if it doesnt help, they are going to discuss if they should try a stronger chemo or just do nothing.

Its just starting to hit my grandmother that he will die from this--they just dont know when..The oncologist did say that it is stage 4 cancer. so now we just wait

Poor grandma!:sad1: :grouphug:

Jen, I am sorry the news wasn't more encouraging!:sad2:

Eh, toughen up!;)
I don't give a flying fig what my neighbors think. Of course DH insists on putting trash on our front porch while he waits for it to be "trash day" so I am sure we will get reported one of these days.

You did do the right thing.:thumbsup2

I can relate to all that. Except no calls from family.;) The kids start soccer tomorrow if it doesn't get rained out. I've been getting emails from all the coaches. Lizzy coach said cleets were optional and Emma's said they were required. I actually think Lizzy is playing well enough to benefit from them but if I get them for her I need to get them for the others. I think I'll wait and see how they do. We'll be getting 5 "discount cards" for each child that they are supposed to sell for $10 each. Who am I supposed to sell these to? Everyone we know is in soccer and family is out of town.

We've already got the wrapping paper package too.

:wizard: Good luck with your back!
Neither you or Anne Marie looked lopsided to me! :rotfl:
Thanks on all accounts!:)
I hate those "discount cards"!!! We don't have any family to sell them too so we end of buying all the wrapping paper, cookie dough, candy bars, discount cards, etc etc etc!!!! Well this year I am not doing it. No fundraisers for me! Especially with what i am paying for Daniels school, they can't have more of my $!!!:rotfl:

The elementary used to sell from the Giant Catalog of Crap. The first year they sent catalogs home with ALL of the kids, the next year you had to opt in, the year after that it was back to everybody. Then at Christmas they had the huge poinsettia sale. DS sold a few the first couple of years, but at the time we were HEAVILY involved in the AIDS walk and I really wanted people to donate to the walk instead of buying poinsettias. Last year we didn't sell anything at all because we don't know anybody to sell to! My friends don't want to buy any of that stuff.

I do have one friend who sent me the magazine subscription thing from her DS but we didn't order. Then she hit me up again for Girl Scout cookies. I ordered a couple of boxes to be donated because I didn't want any cookies.

I think I may have left out the part about us needing her to sign an easment so that we can get our electric over her property. The electric company wants to move our line from its current location through another neighbors yard that is only about 10 feet off the ground (but it has been then for over 50 years....). They want it to come in the front of our house now and run through our basement, over our furnace, to our fuse box. We really want it to come off the adjacent street and still come in the rear of the house. This would actually be better than the current situation and would make the neighbor who has the wire about 10 feet off the ground very happy but we can not tell the neighbor who had the fire about the neighbor who wants to move the wire because they hate each other. We just don't want any "troubles".:rolleyes1 um or houses burning down.

Do your schools do read-a-thons? I will NOT participate in those. The kids are supposed to hit folks (family members?) up to sponsor the kids so much for each page read over a period of time. I just don't like it. It seems like extortion and the kids should read without being paid for it even if the money is given to the school. At least the wrapping paper is a nice quality.

Yes, we do & totally agree with you. I need a job....I am applying to the Disney store on Monday. Hopefully that will help out with the kids expenses & some $ for future Disney trips.;)

Good to hear all went well for ds today. :wizard: that the meds help!

DS said his day was fine. He doesn't have any homework this weekend (that he admits). I picked up his new meds from Sam's so he'll start that tomorrow. (I checked the picture against the one on the internet and it matches, so I feel confident we have the right drug. Stephanie has made me paranoid.) I also picked up my prints from the Disney trip so I can put them in an album. Or not. I should wait for the PhotoPass pics and combine them.

OK. Time for dinner.

I know, I am just peeking at the threads. I don't want to know to much :rotfl:

33 more days, I can't wait :yay:

I would so love that!!! I won't read any of the HM threads. I want to be surprised! 33 days Janet!!!!!

Sorry to hear this Jen
