well, we made it through the Dr's better then i thought they have their own imaging center in their office. so we just walked across the waiting room. They did not remove his cast they did the x-ray through it .. and he said that everything looks good, good placement and growth.. so we go back in another 2 weeks and they will take the cast off then , do the x-rays and then either put a shorter cast or the walking cast on him ..

Hope your little guy is feeling better soon.

here's at the 2 week mark .. up till now he didn't want anyone to sign his cast" that would make it dirty"

at 12:45 today my friend desirae dropped by and she was in tears. desirae was my attendant from feb-2 weeks ago. are relationship is like we are sisters. she said that the job she just started 2 weeks ago just fired her for no reason. she was working at a minor emergency clinic that just opened 2 weeks ago. she ask one of the nurses if she could get her husband seen because he was having trouble with his kidneys and wanted to get checked out. she said that he didnt have insurance. she said nothing about wanting him treated for free. so when he came and brought her lunch she told the nurse he was there and to see if the doc could look at him. 5 minutes later the "supervisor" was yelling at her saying she wanted him to be seen free and he wasnt and that the doctor wasnt gonna look at him. adn she went against policy. desirae said if i knew it was against policy i wouldnt had asked and i never said anything about him being seen for free. so now she is out of a job. and if she steps foot on the property she would be arrested for trespassing.

i need ya'lls opion. i have an attendant that took desirae's place. since she has been working for me i have been getting this feeling about her. dont know what it is but there is something. now that desi doesnt have a job now i want her back but a)i dont know if agency would hire her back and b) there isnt a reason to say i dont want morning attendant except the feeling i am getting. what do i do?

Deb - I got DINGed for Orlando but the fares are only valid Mon-Wed and Sat. Don't know if that helps you! If I could leave on Wed and come back Sat my round trip would be $179, but I would already be pushing it to take off Friday since I don't have any days left!

Karen - Can't you hire her to be your attendant without using the agency? I thought at one point you had said that was an option but you didn't know anyone who was qualified. Aren't you short one attendant already?

i did find someone who is doing nights and weekends so desi wouldnt have to worry about doing that. i guess the problem i am having is more my mom because i was telling her i could switch to the cds program but my mom keeps saying well you dont have back up and what if she leaves again and all this crap. my mom likes to control me. desi was gonna try and figure out her situation so i guess i'll think on it over the weekend and talk to the night attendant about switching with me. i like her. she is older and has 2 kids so she is reliable and dependent so i think i'll be keeping her for a while.

I gotta get off and write the news...we were without power all day at work!!

Tammi- I was thinking of costumes for MNSSHP, and I remembered you and your mom went as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, with Alyssa as Alice, and Nicholas as the Mad Hatter.
Do you still have any pics of this?
I think that these costumes might be a cooler alternative for us, and I might get my wife to go along with the idea as long as I am Tweedle Dum!
I think that those are costumes that I could make, but I completely forgot what yours looked like. I remember them being very clever though!

Don't stress!!!! Deep breaths!!!! I think get so wrapped up in planning & trying to see & do everything. Don't sweat it if you miss something & don't worry, you will have a great time. You are going at a wonderful time of year & Leighanna's at a great age.
