Seriously....I wouldn't tell them about the party....they really don't need to know and it would just hurt their feelings.

I can't tell them I am going to the MNSSHP it would break their little hearts. Katie had a tough time with me just going to WDW so I told her that we were doing grown up stuff like the F&WF & DTD to calm her down. I really need this trip right now. Things here are crazy.

I am thrilled about the pins! Did I tell you about my new ringtone? "This Is Halloween". I downloaded it yesterday.

Nick turned in the missing assignment today so hopefully that saga has ended.

I firmly believe that our warranties expire at 40. So by 38, things are starting to break down. It surely feels that way, doesn't it?

I was going through October's calendar with Dana today & I mentioned the dates I'd be gone & what the kids activities were that day. He looked at me & said "you are going to be gone long" I was touched..moved even...but ain't no puppy dog sweety lovey face going to make me stay home!!!

Our kids were upset too until we told them that we were doing a lot of adult sit down meals and we would only be there for 48 hours. Now they are looking forward to hanging out with my parents. I know my parents want to do something fun with them so they won't even miss us.

I hear you on this one. If I thought any amount of guilt would sway Alan, I'd be with y'all in Orlando next month! He told me yesterday that I deserved a vacation from the kids. I have to say that I agree with him. He was gone for 3 weeks at the mine disaster, and so far, 2 weeks with this trial. It looks like he MIGHT be home on Wednesday, but I'm not holding my breath.

Nope!!!!
I wish Dana was going, however we don't have anyone we can trust to leave the kids with. We have never gone away without the kids & he & I would have so much fun at Disney.

He was so sweet when I booked it & said how much fun I would have, but now that its 3 weeks away I think he's going to miss me and the fact the kids will be all his for 4 days. (welcome to my world!)

Bernadette - OK, I was wrong. It was 8:20 PM before I left work and I am exhausted! I still need to eat dinner. I saw DS for all of about 10 minutes today.

Anne Marie - Nope. It's a Cingular phone. They have a lot of Disney tones, though. I might get Bibbity Bobbity Boo next time. Or Mickey Mouse Club March because that is Princess's favorite.
Perhaps you should move closer to me so when you need a sitter you have one available. I even do overnights/weekends. You could pay me with pins.

Jennifer - I have to tell you I thought maybe it had turned cold and that's why you were wearing hats. (I have had a very long day.)

Glynis - Plum jam is my favorite. It would be wonderful if you could have a little weekend to yourself! Keep pestering Alan!

Other than my back and the intermittant blurry eye I am in pretty good shape. But I injured my back when I was 27 so the blurry eye is the only "new" ailment.

DS brought home a Science Fair packet today. Science fair is my nemesis, although DS won second place last year. I "help" with the projects. A lot. This year there is a timeline and the whole freaking project has to be FINISHED before the Christmas break! There is also a research paper this year, with 5 resources documented by Halloween. Brilliant. At least I have an idea of what his project can be, and it won't require weeks and weeks of data collection. That research is going to be a pain in the tushy.
