well it's time for me to head off to work :sad2: I did manage to take a nap and I got all the laundry put away (except Chris's), picked up the entry and a bit of kid junk. The house looks slightly better :scared: I'll get more done in the morning. Since there are a lot of graduations around here this weekend including high schools and Dartmouth College, I'm betting that it will be a late night tonight. Oh well, hopefully more Disney money or deck money :confused3 as if I've budgeted correctly I've got our Trip fully saved for now :thumbsup2 Considering how things always seem to cost more than anticipated I'll just keep saving and if we have money when all is said and done I'll get my new deck :cool2: If we spend it all down there at least we will have had a great vacation, right? :goodvibes

Exactly!! Have a good Disney night!!

So I paid off the Disney part of the trip:banana:
Now to find the paperwork for the first part of the trip and get that set up!!!

We're going to Disney, We're going to Disney!!

I think I might need a favor. Is anyone going to WDW before we are an AP holder? I really want the Mickey AP pin, and I am afraid they will sell out before we get there. (I know Vicki wants the Mickey pin, too.) The Minnie AP pin is being released the day we arrive, so I can pick up a few Minnies if other DDAers are collecting the 4 different 2007 AP pins. DS and DH are both AP holders so we can buy up to 6 AP pins. PM if you are interested! Thanks!:flower3:

Ah, I see.
Well being extremely busy at work is always an allowable reason not to do so good on gift giving. And hey even John is a jokester, one of the things I love about him.

Heidi,

Actually he usually does really good in the gift giving department. He has been so busy with the end of the school year and inventory and things that I know he will make up for it next week when we go away.

He is just a jokester sometimes. But I still love him.

We fly into Springfield, and then we will drive to Willow Springs. I think that's pretty far from St. Louis, isn't it? (At least I hope so, as I looked into flying into St. Louis, and was told it would be too far of a drive to be worth it!)

Yeah, it's about a 3-4 hour drive from here to Springfield. Too bad it isn't closer.

Butch is doing great, thanks for asking! He finally came out of the coma & is talking up a storm. The Dr wanted to keep him in ICU for a couple of days, just to make sure all is well. Hopefully he will be home before long.

Good luck with getting the room finished, sounds like you will be busy!

A friend of mine at work makes killer cinnamon rolls, but I don't have the recipe. That helped you alot didn't it :rotfl:

I'm glad to hear it! I hope that he gets to go home soon.

My mom's friend makes great ones too. Maybe I'll just wait for her to be able to respond to my email and make them next week.

so what is everyone up to tnoight?
as you can tell, im still home!

Terra and I are getting ready to go for a walk and then just hanging out the rest of the night. We just got back from taking her, Kassie and Connor bowling as I had a coupon for a free hour. I'm beginning to think that I need to check into buying my own shoes as well rather than paying for those each time. The kids lasted through one (very slow) game. Then Kristi took them to the game room while I bowled two more games alone in our last 15 minutes of time. That was a very pleasant 15 minutes. :rolleyes1

Daniel's party went well. I ended up driving 3 other boys to the party. The boys were absolutely crazy in the car. They all got to bat in the batting cage & played kickball & dodgeball. Daniel told me about this mean girl in his class. Boy, he wasn't kidding. This girl was so nasty to the other kids.
11.gif
She yelled "shutup" several times at the kids while they were just talking, she told one kid he was a baldy, another she called buck-toothed, & another she called an idiot. Wow!!! Daniel said to me later in the car.."See whey I didn't want to invite her" Yea I see that now! :headache: She didn't bring a present either.:sad2:
Anyway, they did have fun & Daniel got alot of Mets stuff. Some of his friends are so cute! Whew..it's over!:cheer2:

Yay for no more mosquito bites! I still have an outdoor event tomorrow, and am already scared about how many bites I'll come home with, even if I'm using Off. They just love me (and I know it's not because I'm sweet ;) ).

Congrats to Jake! :grouphug: to Andrew.

Where is their tournament tomorrow? Jonathan is actually going to be taking pics of a team playing a tournament in Sanger tomorrow. I imagine that's probably too far to be the same tourney.

Sounds like another productive day, Deb. Enjoy your nap! I love them, too!

Good luck on the event tomorrow. I hope the mosquitoes have died down more. I only got a couple more bites last night.

The tournament tomorrow is in Mesquite. That would have been too cool if Jonathan had walked up with his cool camera there. Any extra PD for Andrew would be very appreciated-- he needs a couple of solid hits. (Notice I'm not asking for the moon, just solid hits!)

yay for Jake, but poor Andrew... Your sports schedule is just brutal, Marci!

I had no idea the season would be extended with all-star games. We'll see when all the practices/games are. It may conflict with vacation. I keep telling myself to enjoy it instead of complain, because I've heard this time goes by all too quickly...

Congrats to Jake! I hope Andrew works through his disappointment quickly!:wizard:

I am glad we didn't go to the Arboretum today. The little guys have NO energy! We did pop over to the mall for about an hour. Went to the Disney Store, had a pretzel (Brother's favorite), rode the carousel. I made the kids eat lunch at home today. We had pizza delivered yesterday and I really am trying to be conscientious about how much money we are spending. Not that Dadboss has ever been upset with me for how much I spend, but we have been going out a lot the past few weeks.

ENABLER ALERT:
Sources tell me the Disney Store semi-annual sale starts next Wednesday. BIG mark downs. Shop early for best selection.:rolleyes1

I bought a cute Tinkerbell T-shirt for $5 today. I am not a big Tink fan (though I can think of some!;) ), but the shirt is nice. I bought DS a pair of Pirate swim trunks because the poor boy only has 4 swimsuits. I also bought some Ratatouille (what are the chances that I spelled that right?) pins. There are 3 pins in the set for $9.50. They are cute, too, so I don't know if I will trade mine or keep them.

That's the mall I usually go to for the Disney store. I have to return a dress I got at the D store tomorrow, but I'll probably go to Town East since I'll be right there. Boy do I hate that mall...

So I paid off the Disney part of the trip:banana:

I'm glad the party went well! It's really fun to watch the interaction of the kids as they seem to get more animated as they get older...

You should be a fly on the wall at parties for kids who go to the Shelton school. (Reminder, it's the largest school in the nation for bright children who have learning differences -- most of them have ADHD as well as dyslexia and/or speech problems.) Those parties are nuts! We could never do batting with those kids. I did try bowling once, and it was very scary! :scared1: Also remember that ADHD is thought to be genetically handed down, mix in the parents to the group....well.... you know...

I spent the afternoon with Toni & tried a few dresses on. The one I posted last night is a no go. It is a beautiful gown & I loved it, but it is a little to revealing for a wedding(well I think so anyway). Toni picked out a couple more for me to try & she really liked one that is cranberry in color. It laces up the back like hers & I would only need to have it hemmed a little. I went ahead & ordered the dress from JC Pennys & then Toni can make her final decision on which one she wants me to wear. Here are some pictures. Please excuse my hair, it was very windy today so I just put it up & please excuse the gown with my bra straps showing  I had taken it off & put it back on so many times that I did not feel like messing with it anymore. Hope it does not offend anyone.

This is the Pink & Ivory gown

Gold/tan gown, I really liked the way this fit, but it would need to be hemmed & altered at the top

After the gowns we went & reserved a place for her reception, then we went & bought flowers so I could make the bouquets.

Garrett had a game tonight & now I am relaxing lol

:rolleyes1
I thinks the cranberry looks great on you.

Glad it was a good time, save one girl. :scared1: I can't believe she would say all of that. Sounds like a fun party.

Well, i just finished watching the new lifetime show "army wives"--its from the creators of greys anatomy, i think..it was pretty good--i can see myself getting hooked on that show!

Marci congratulations to Jake! Sorry Andrew did not make it  Garrett & Riley never want to try out for the All Star Team, they say they want the rest of the summer to do whatever. This is fine by me, I feel like I am meeting myself coming & going right now lol I know you can relate to this!

Anne Marie great to hear the party was a success, sounds like it was lots of fun. The one little girl though :sad2:

Theresa :woohoo: on getting Disney paid off :cool1:

Deb that is awesome that you have saved money from tips for your trip, WTG!

Jen I was wanting to watch Army Wives, wonder if they will show it again?

Elizabeth if you decide you do not want the Tink shirt, you have my address :rotfl: I wish we had a Disney store here, sounds like I need to go for a short drive & check it out!

Today was yet another hectic day, but all is quiet now. Garrett is staying with a friend & Riley went camping for the night. They both have games tomorrow night, I need another me lol
