Good morning DDA

The boys are a bit rambunctious already this morning :scared: I think I need to find some chores to keep them busy. What chores can I come up with for 2 4 year olds?

I need to rinse out the last tie dye shirt and do a couple of iron ons. I might as well get them done early today.

Do you have Swiffer type dusters? They are good to keep Terra occupied for a little while. She also likes to sweep the floors and porch or "wash" dishes (sponge on a stick and cold water, then I put them in the dishwasher to actually get clean).

Good morning, DDA! I'm finally caught up for the first time in a few days. Not sure what happened that I was behind.

Janet - How is Butch doing? Sorry that I didn't post anything previously, but I didn't want to post from behind and hear more news while catching up. He and his family are in my prayers.

Lindsay - Congrats on getting all of your ressies!

Jennifer - I am sooo glad that the whopping cough test was negative. I hope that you are feeling better.

Theresa - Have a great house warming party this weekend! It is well-deserved.

Nothing too exciting going on around here. Just the regular house stuff. I think we may take the kids to see Surf's Up this morning or tomorrow morning when it is cheapest. Otherwise, no big plans around here. Rachel leaves tomorrow to spend two and a half weeks in OK. While she's gone, Mom and I will be on a rampage trying to get her room finished. We bought beach towels for the curtains yesterday. First up will be finally getting to the mural wall though. Hopefully we can get that done next week and still have a week to rearrange and finish the decorations.

Well, Kassie and Terra had a sleepover last night and are now clamoring for some breakfast. I guess I had better go get it.

Speaking of breakfast...Terra has been asking to make cinnamon rolls. Does anyone have a good recipe for homemade ones?

Janet - I love all the dresses and you look phenomenal. WTG, girl!

Theresa - your housewarming sounds like fun. Since the gifts are for such a good cause I hope there are 40+ people there. :) And... DVC? That is news to me!
Deb - I think a new Mickey watch would be the perfect Father's Day gift for Chris too!

It was part of a contest awhile back to win a 3 year DVC contract. I just checked a button asking for a DVD so Jimmy could see what I am talking about. Dear me, I don't think we can afford it just yet....maybe for my 40th birthday!! Jim got a house for his, I get DVC....seems fair right???;)

Hi!

I like the cranberry, then the gold and tan gown.
Me too, Janet you look great in all of them!

Good morning DDA

You can always try this trick. Give them both an old sock with alittle furniture polish or fantastic on the sock. Put it on their hands & let them dust the house. Tell them that who ever gets the most dust on their sock wins a treat. My kids love this & I end up giving them all a treat since they all helped. (but don't tell them they both get rewarded until its over so they try hardest to dirty their sock.

Tonight is Daniel's birthday party at a local baseball/batting cage place. I invited his classmates, made cupcakes, & goody bags so we are all set. I am Daniels secret reader today as well so that should be fun.

Going into the 90's today..:scared:

Have a great day.

Sounds like a busy, but fun, day today!!

Janet - I think all of the dresses look great! The pink one is very pretty on you! I also like the cranberry. You need to think of somewhere for Gary to take you so you can wear it again!;)

Chanon - Good luck with the painting! I've never painted anything, but I imagine it is kind of a pain.

The weather is kind of icky. It is hot and REALLY muggy - like being in a sauna. And the kids don't really want to go to the Arboretum today. Not sure what's up with the little ones but they are like zombies this morning. Maybe we'll just go to the mall for a little while. The pest control guy is coming at 2 PM so we need to be back by then.

Seems right to me. :confused3 :thumbsup2 Now to just convice Jim on that.

We will do the DVC tour in August. We can't afford to buy in right now, but I want to do the tour so DH will start to think about it.

I just checked airfare for Dec. and it has come down $50, but that means it is $388 instead of $438 per person. NOT a good deal!:sad2:

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. She and her family will be in my prayers.

I totally hear you on the mosquitoes. I have been eaten up a few times already. I thought I had a new super-itchy one this morning. Unfortunately, Mom think it might actually be poison ivy. Luckily it is only one tiny spot so far and hopefully it won't spread. Too bad I have NO idea where it came from. :confused3 Not sure how I'm supposed to avoid getting it again since I've only been in our backyard and my sister's this week.

UGH! Hope it doesn't spread!

 That's what airfare is like from here too.

I think I may be crazy. I'm letting Kaelyn have a sleepover with 3 friends tomorrow night. I really need to be getting the house picked up. LOL

I think I would be staying inside as well

Good morning everyone. I am off today and am glad because it's going to be 105 with the heat index. YUCK! So I plan on staying in the a/c, except for getting the oil in the van changed and going grocery shopping.

Last night Alyssa had another graduation. This one was at her daycare. It was so cute. I'll try to post a few pictures later.

Butch is doing great, thanks for asking! He finally came out of the coma & is talking up a storm. The Dr wanted to keep him in ICU for a couple of days, just to make sure all is well. Hopefully he will be home before long.

Good luck with getting the room finished, sounds like you will be busy!

A friend of mine at work makes killer cinnamon rolls, but I don't have the recipe. That helped you alot didn't it :rotfl:
