We got a phone call from a DVC sales rep tonight and she asked who had talked to us about DVC...I said all of them??? :lmao: So she said how about just one...so Deb I gave her your name cuz it was the first last name I could think of. :lmao:

Thanks, I really hope Toni wants to go with the cranberry one. But I have to wait till the dress from Penny's gets here. Although the dress from Pennys is alot cheaper ;)

It was so windy here too!!

I love the look of all of the dresses and that cranberry looks wonderful!!!

I spent the afternoon with Toni & tried a few dresses on. The one I posted last night is a no go. It is a beautiful gown & I loved it, but it is a little to revealing for a wedding(well I think so anyway). Toni picked out a couple more for me to try & she really liked one that is cranberry in color. It laces up the back like hers & I would only need to have it hemmed a little. I went ahead & ordered the dress from JC Pennys & then Toni can make her final decision on which one she wants me to wear. Here are some pictures. Please excuse my hair, it was very windy today so I just put it up & please excuse the gown with my bra straps showing  I had taken it off & put it back on so many times that I did not feel like messing with it anymore. Hope it does not offend anyone.

This is the Pink & Ivory gown

Gold/tan gown, I really liked the way this fit, but it would need to be hemmed & altered at the top

After the gowns we went & reserved a place for her reception, then we went & bought flowers so I could make the bouquets.

Garrett had a game tonight & now I am relaxing lol

Tomorrow is work and than we are going to go stock up for our open house on Saturday.

I will take pictures Saturday before the party.....almost all decorated.

We will either have 4 people or 40+ people in our house Saturday. Instead of housewarming gifts we have asked people to bring baby items for a local hospitals maternity ward ministry. I hope we get a lot of items!!

I am also paying our trip off (finally!!)

That is such a nice idea for your housewarming

:cool1: :cool1: On paying off the trip :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks. Which rep called you? We have Scott MacDonald. He was very helpful. We plan to make an appointment with him while we are there. We've never taken a tour and Chris wants his fast passes :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thank you so very much to everyone who posted Anniversary well wishes.
Yesterday DH handed me a coupon for a car wash :lmao:
Gotta love my man.

We will go out to eat Saturday night. Next weekend we are going to a cabin with friends. Not sure what we will do there so I figure I better bring magazines or a good trashy book :rotfl:

She said that Scott would be contacting us and you after his working cruise. I said that sounded like a fun way to work. :lmao:

I vote for the trashy book!!:lmao:

He has a lot of those working vacations. It seems that every time I try to contact him he is on a working vacation :rotfl: I think we need his job.

I keep asking Chris what he would like for father's day and he keeps saying that he doesn't need anything. So while visiting him at work today I asked him if he's started wearing his Mickey watch that plays the Mickey Mouse March. It has become tradition for him to play the March several times a day prior to a trip which annoys the heck out of his coworkers :lmao: Turns out that watch is broken. So now I will need to find a new one. It sounds like the perfect father's day gift to me :goodvibes

Sounds like an awesome idea!!

Janet - I love all the dresses and you look phenomenal. WTG, girl!

Theresa - your housewarming sounds like fun. Since the gifts are for such a good cause I hope there are 40+ people there. :) And... DVC? That is news to me!

Deb - I think a new Mickey watch would be the perfect Father's Day gift for Chris too!

Janet, I like the pink and ivory one the best.

Theresa, great idea for housewarming gifts.

Deb, I want Scott's job. And yes a new Mickey watch is in order and a perfect father's day gift.

Terry, need John to school Hal in what to give/not give for an anniversary gift?

I really need to go to bed! The meeting went will yesterday or um...Monday as it's already Wednesday now...I will post more details later.

Just a real quick update on my Mom. She has finally started participating in activities at the nursing home even a few "field trips". She's even putting on lipstick which is HUGE as she wasn't getting out of bed or dressed. Seems there is a new male resident.:rotfl: We are all so happy that she's finally participating in life again! She looks so much better too!

Great news on Mom! I'm glad to hear that she is getting back into living again.

how's the painting coming, Chanon?
Mom's been on Nevada time - yesterday she was exausted from the flight - she's used to driving across the country so I think the flight really hit her hard. She slept quite a bit, but is up with me this morning to take me to work so she has a car to go get some painting supplies I forgot. She'll probably start painting while I'm at work today. I'm going to get some photo's this morning. And tomorrow is dress shopping (which one I'm excited about more I can't decide)!!!

I like the red one first, then the gold one. Can't wait to see the Penneys one now!

ETA: No pics of the red one hanging in the dressing room (the one with sleeves in the shot with the pink dress)??
