My DD and I are now official scrapbookers. We have a Cricut. I'm looking for the Disney font cartridge for less than $59.99.

Garrett & Riley's teams both won their games tonight, so the long day was well worth it! Tomorrow won't be as bad, Garrett only has practice & Riley has a game at 7.


Thanks for all the prayers for Butch. I wish I had good news to report. Kathy had left a message, so I called & talked to her when I got home. Butch had surgery for a blockage to his heart, but he is still in a coma. The problem is that he was not breathing for 5-10 minutes before they revived him. They are going to wait 24 hours to see if he comes out of it. If not they will do a cat scan & see what his chances are for recovery. I am hoping & praying with all my heart that he comes back. His wife & grandson both need him. About 3 years ago Butch's son hung himself because his wife left him. Butch was the one to find him. They now have custody of their grandson. It is just to sad

Please keep them all in your thoughts. Hopefully tomorrow I will have good news.

I had the best surprise tonight. Bob was supposed to come over this evening. I told him I'd be home around 7:30 and we agreed 8 would be a good time for him to come by. So at 7:20 I'm pulling into my driveway and Alyssa yells "Bob's here!" (She sees his car in the driveway). That wonderful man came over as soon as he dropped his dd off and started mowing my grass for me. He sure knows the way to my heart! So of course I change clothes and go out and help, but it is so nice having it done. I was wondering how I was going to get it all done since I'm working late all week. And with TS Barry that came through over the weekend it seems to have revived the growing.

Now I'm going to bed.

How nice! I knew I liked that man. We need to find a time to get together for dinner.

Mowing the lawn is on my list of things to do today, I think. I don't want to have to wait until the weekend either since Bob won't be free until then. It looks manageable now, but by then it wil be a jungle!

i remember getting out the first week of june and starting after labor day!

I would love that! Miles just asked me how many more days of school, and he's only in 2nd grade. He's the one that still likes school a lot, and even he is ready for the break.

Our elementary and middle schools get out after a full day on Wednesday, June 20th. Matthew is in high school, so he will only go in for exams starting next Wednesday. He does have an exam the last day.

Thank goodness the preschools here typically end the Friday before Memorial Day! I can't imagine still teaching at this point. There are a couple in the area that go as long as the public school, but I will fight if our tries to become one of them.

I am officially on summer vacation! The last 3 recitals are done and I am in my PJs...

Yay, Elin!!! I go in for one last cleaning/reorganization day at the preschool today, and then I am also on summer vacation!

If you find any of the Disney Cricut cartridges for that price, please let me know! Dh was going to buy me one for my birthday, but he must have forgotten.

So I got Cassidy's report card today.....(let me just say I love messing with my kids head!!) I told her it's the worst report card I've seen from her.....

There were no A's on it

....
there were also no D's or F's either!!!

The kid passed her math class!!!!

Yeah Cassidy! I am so happy that she passed math.

This is how our schools work too - partially because of all the County fairs in the area - too many kids would miss the first 3 days because more than half of the students are in 4H, Band, or anything else relating to a fair. My old high school is right up the road from the Geauga County fair and "back in the day" (according to all the older teachers!) the other reason why we couldn't have school during the fair was because the water for the city couldn't handle the fair AND the school at the same time! The other weird thing - students are allowed a day off for hunting season...

Becky - I agree with what everyone else has been saying. My feelings that I'm getting from you though is that the Girl Scouts is going to be a better fit for you and what you really want to do with your life. It seems like a great start for the work you want to do in the future.

Tammi - Bob is definately a keeper! When do I get to meet him?!?

Elin - WHOO HOO for summer vacation!!! Did you get my message about Napa Rose? Weird, huh! DEFINATELY not WDW, that's for sure!

Steffy - I LOVE seeing your countdowns! It really does make me want to be at Disney RIGHT NOW! (Does going to the Disney store yesterday count for something?) I now have new Year of a Million Dreams Disney dollars - though I miss the classic characters on them - I'm not a princess girl!

Morning DDA! Nothing too exciting today - Bob's in the Detroit area - and called to brag about the gas mileage he got driving up there (I'm sure driving 80 helps some!)
Today is my girlfriends 50th birthday - I sent her flowers and balloons which hopefully she'll be suprised about. I should go find her a Hallmark E Card too...
At the Disney store yesterday there were so much Pirates stuff there - AND the scary Disney Tiki guys...they even make stuffed animals with them!
Other than that, nothing exciting! Oh yea! I'm trying on dresses this Saturday with Mom!
