Bob's going to WDW?!! :yay:
Maybe, he's seeing if he can work it out with his xw. It just so happens that she is planning to go on a cruise in October  so he needs to see if he can work the dates out.

Elin - WHOO HOO for summer vacation!!! Did you get my message about Napa Rose? Weird, huh! DEFINATELY not WDW, that's for sure!

I got the message and Bob and I are very excited, Chanon... thanks! For those who are wondering... Chanon has been helping us make all our arrangements for the California trip. Not only do we not have an ADR number for our Napa Rose reservation but there is no deposit needed to hold our room at the Grand Californian! Very different, indeed! :confused3

Today was a wonderful day. We went to a craft fair this morning, and boy did it get warm in the afternoon. Anyway, there was a 'make your own' candle place and the kids decided they wanted to make one. So I said why don't you each make one and you can give them to daddy for Father's Day. Brilliant. No fuss no muss and only $10 for both. We came home and rested a bit and had dinner, then went over to the film fest. The night was perfect for sitting outside, even a little cool. We didn't get home until about 11:30. Now I am caught up and heading to bed.

Brilliant idea, Tammi!! :thumbsup2

Beth - I have never heard of a "moving up" ceremony for any grade, so I can't help you there. As far as the awards ceremony... I don't get it either. Even if it is held during the day I would think that parent's ought to be invited. I can't imagine that they could keep you away!

Our school has every event open to parents. In fact I could show up any day at any time and visit the classrooms. We are always notified of any show, assembly event and the public is always welcome. That being said even if our school didn't work that way I would show up for something that important anyway. You're a tax payer and parent, you have that right. Would they really kick you out? Good luck.

Deb

And I agree with Deb on this. you have a right to go if you want to.

Amy - I don't know the answer to your question, but it promises to be interesting finding out what it is! :)

i can do that--even if i have to drive alone!

:cool1:

Doesn't Baltimore have a Duck Tour???? :rolleyes1

Yep, but if we do that than I know for sure that Emma will have to tag along. She loved the one in Boston and really wants to do the one here

Thanks, Deb, and you are so right. I thought my world was coming to an end, and it did for awhile. But like the song says.....If you're going through h*** keep on going....which is what I had to do. Now I've met someone wonderful who treats me good. So I'm going to ride the wave and see where it takes us. Last night he and I were talking and I made the comment about how my children are always asking if he is coming over and that they have taken to him quite well. His response was 'maybe it's because they see that I make their mom happy.' Ok, I know that is sappy, but it made me realize that even my kids must see the difference in me. Sorry to go on and on, but I just wanted to share that.

Emma loves that song! I am so glad you are happy and Bob is right. I'm sure the kids see a difference in you.

Aw, I wish I were folding little clothes again.

I really don't mind it's just that I see a lot of :laundy: in my future. And Eric does a horrible job folding the girls clothes. They end up like little balls of fabric. Drives me batty.

Now I really am going. I got sidetracked with a phone call!

:goodvibes I am SO glad this is the case, Tammi. You deserve it!

Well I need to get off of here. I need to get more of Lucy's clothes and things washed and put away. I'm slowly making progress, but I just really hate folding all the little clothes. Have a great day.

that's where those little hangers come in handy!!

Hi Amy!

I have used the DP twice now & your friend will have no problem with both partys using their own credits. Last year Jo & her ds son met us at Bomas for dinner. We were both on the DP. When it came time to pay I told the waitress how many credits were to be taken from mine & Jo told her how many to take from hers. No problems at all :thumbsup2

Fly-by post ala Paula-style. :)

My friend emailed me this question this morning, but since we've never done the dining plan nor traveled with other family members, I don't know the answer! Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

My friend writes:

I thought of this question today and wanted to ask you this before I proceed with more ADR's. For the ones I have made, I have placed them all under our reservation for 7 people. Since we are actually a party of 5 and 2, when we pay will they be able to split it like that or will it all be billed to the way the reservation was made which was 7 people? So, are we going to get docked our 5 credits and have to pay cash for the other 2 in our party or will they be able to pull the meal credits from both rooms? Does that make sense?

off to garden...

He's definitely a keeper!!:cloud9:

That's for sure...the only thing I fold is onesies, towels and blankets! Everything else gets hung in their closets! :)

How did the debate go?

I remember being all ready with pen and paper to write down confirmation numbers when we made our DL dining reservations in 2005! Almost everything about DL is a little different, not in a bad way, just different for us WDW vets! :teeth:

Just so you all know, I have sacrificed greatly for a few sporadic posts this morning. Matthew has torn my recent Entertainment Weekly to shreds. :rotfl2:

And mine when John first left. It had just come out when I was at my lowest.

All this talk about DL is making me wonder about Glynis' trip. I'm sure they are having a wonderful time!
