We survived the BUSY weekend :cool1: :cool1: I'm pretty much exhausted. As it stands now I will have Tomorrow night and Tuesday night off. I need to recooperate. I do need to grocery shop tomorrow night and Nick has his orthodonic consultation on Tuesday night. At least it's not work :goodvibes

Thanks, Tammi. Any reason you went the ABBF route vs. renting the Disney strollers? Costs savings, having them for everything? Or are they just far superior strollers?

I just worry about folding these big honkers up. They're insistent upon not renting a car, so they'll be battling these getting them on/off buses.
Yes, it was cheaper for me to rent from abbf for 7 days than from the parks. The other factor was comfort for the kids. The first time we went Alyssa was 2.5, so I figured getting something soft/reclining would be best for her, instead of the hard plastic from Disney. The folding thing is a pain, but even if you are travelling with your own stroller you still have the folding issue, unless it is a small umbrella type thing, which I opted not to use because of the whole back support issue, no canopy for sunshading, no storage, etc. As long as there is a dad around to do it you should be fine. Heck, I even had one in October when it was just my mom and I. I drew the line though when I took the kids in January by myself. ;) I rented from the parks since it was just 3 days.

Jen. Springfield, MA is only about 1 1/2 hours from us. That is where we go to Six Flags. Next year we'll have to meet you down there. If I'd only known.

Since Deb's family just sat around all weekend and didn't do anything they could have hopped in the car lickety split!;) :rotfl:
Sounds like next year you all could plan a really fun weekend!:thumbsup2

My family really DID sit around all weekend, but there wasn't anything exciting that we could have done. Unless you count dodging thunderstorms.

Good luck with the orthodontist! DS goes back next week for his regular visit. He will be in the braces for at least another year.

We all have our priorities and I'd put meeting Jen above most of what we did this weekend :thumbsup2

Lindsay - Park Blvd. and Coit Rd.? Is there really a Dunkin' Donuts there? I've gone east from the Tollway on Plano Parkway and also on Parker, but not on Park that I can remember. Hmm.

I'm going to bed. I'm tired tonight.

Chat with you all tomorrow.

Deb

I was woken this morning at about sunrise by beep, beep, beep, beep of a dump truck and backhoe backing up, over and over again my neighbors were moving a ton or several of dirt and apparently they wanted to get started before it rained.

:wizard: :wizard: for Beth and Laura sorry they are being a pain

Lindsay- I am glad you called 911. Also happy Jonathan or Jonathon?? is OK. So which way is it spelled?? Perhaps you should get him a Camelback so he can keep water on him at all times. They are also great for WDW.:thumbsup2 Glad you got your ADR's worked out. I gotta call on the 10th at 3am for excursions and Palo for my cruise.

Tammi- Sounds like you had a good weekend.

Bernadette- Good luck with the meeting and next years teacher. I do think that music might be a good idea, especially if it is something that interests her.

Jo- Glad you got some rain. Hope you enjoyed the parks.

Robyn- Hope you can get comfortable so you can sleep. Sorry about things with Eric's family.

Theresa- Glad to hear you found some shirts.

Its raining here again.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I have figured out why I am having the headaches and neck pain. Dummy me hasn't taken any reflux meds for a few days and before that I have been very inconsistent.

Sending  and :wizard: to anyone I may have missed.

Goodnight ladies. I'm going to bed too.

Good night, Deb!

Lindsay - The one in Carrollton is at Hebron & Old Denton. That was my old stomping grounds so I would have noticed if it was there when we lived up there. Wow, I can't believe it has been 4 years!:scared1: The one in Garland is the one on Centerville.

Good night, Tammi!

Becky - You need to get back on a regular med schedule! You want to be at the top of your game tomorrow for the interview!

I got an e-mail tonight from one of those online nanny search things. I forgot to cancel my profile. The family actually sounded pretty good, but I am finished interviewing. Funny how the interviews kept coming after I chose a family. That DOES give me hope for the next time, though! I see if I am patient the interviews will come.

Im headed to bed too...started to feel a sinus infection coming on so going ot try to take advantage of everyone in the house working tomorrow.....except me--so hopefully ill sleep in! have a good night

I think TS Barry, has made it to Pa. ::yes::

I think it did too. We had a steady rain with lots of gusty wind. Lost electric at 8:30. Called my sister in Ga and told her i was going thru computer withdrawl :lmao:
Just got electric back at 11:30.

It seems that a tree went down and hit the power lines. Called Stephanie cause I was not sure when we would get electric back.

Well, we did not go to the baeball game. We did not go to the rib place. I did laundry instead and ended up getting a very large bag of things to take to Goodwill. At least now my closets are ready for summer.

I gotta tell ya, pretty hard to read a trashy book in candlelight.
:lmao: :lmao:
