I'm so sorry I don't have time (yet again) to comment individually. I did read along, and I hope you all are doing well!

As for the bricks, Kyle and I bought one. Well, I bought one, which Kyle will find out about on our anniversary :rolleyes1 He has really wanted one though since we started going there. I personally found the price much lower than I thought. My in-laws bought a brick in a new gymnasium at their local HIGH SCHOOL (nothing special) for about $700, and a brick at Kyle's and my alma mater in their central hub is over $1000, which includes a "free" lifetime alumni association membership. Now THAT is insane, and yet I'd love one of those, too. :rotfl: This seemed much more reasonable to me, and I'm excited that most of the "new" ones are going in front of the MK! :thumbsup2

I am reading a biography on Walt Disney.

Walt Disney
The Triumph Of The American Imagination,
by Neal Gabler.

To say it is a huge book is an understatement, it may take a while to read. But it is very good and he leaves nothing out.

Oooh that sounds neat. I'll have to check that one out!

Janet - love the new picture collage!
Me too!

Jen,

I forgot to say thank you for the card.
Thanks from me as well. :goodvibes

OK, all caught up again and off to do four recitals. I will read you all again later on tonight. Enjoy!

We got back from the shower about an hour ago and this was Lucy's big gift:

Oh, now that's cool!!

My boys have NEVER thought that girls were yucky :confused3

Riley just decided to take a nap on Hunter's homework, the homework that he is actually working on :lmao: Hunter's trying to work around him, but he keeps scooching closer :rotfl: I guess he must want some attention.

Nick has decided to wear tan shorts with is Hawaiian Mickey shirt for the concert tonight. Who can argue with a Disney outfit?

Sounds like the perfect outfit!

:wizard: for Caleb! I hope all is well with his eye, please let us know.

Funny I just sat down to relax when the school called Caleb got something wrong with his eye and it's all bloodshot and hurts so I'm off to call the Dr. while DH picks him up from school (as he had the car to go to the office today). Everyone have a fun afternnon.:goodvibes

Evening everyone.
Boy it seems like Monday.
Not a bad day just odd.
Maybe 'cause I took yesterday off.
Went & had fun.
Hope you all had a great day.
As always back to catch up.

She picks out people to give her creations to. If picked, she will ask you what you would like made & 99% of the time she can do it!

Not sure if her creations are sold anywhere though.

Does she sell her creations?

How nice Tia!

Sad to hear about the family tragedy though

We got some nice news from OK yesterday. At the local school district's annual luncheon, they honored my grandma posthumously with a Lifetime Acheivement in Teaching award. A good friend of hers did the presentation.

It also appears that they have a contract on her house. It sounds like just the family my grandma would have wanted living there. It is a mother and a 21-month old (don't know if there is a father on the home as well. At the end of March, they lost their other two children (5 and 3) and home in a house fire. I guess the Mom grabbed the baby and yelled for the others to get out. They apparently hid thinking they were in trouble or something. The mom ran out with the baby and turned around to go back in to find the door had locked behind her. Since they are starting over bascially, the family has asked that we leave anything that we don't want or sell for them to start their new home with.

Mom, Terra and I will head to OK June 22 to help finish preparing the house for the new owners and with the estate sale.

Good luck on the interview, Becky. I agree that a jacket would probably be a good investment.

Jo - I am glad you had a good time today. I WISH I was going to be in Epcot on Saturday! I would LOVE to meet youl

Well didn't you say you were thinking about moving to Sanford.
All in all I love it here.

I went & picked the boys up, the clouds rolled in, & it poured. Just called & all games for tonight have been canceled. Boy the weather is fickle, you just never know lol

Well at least they won't get in trouble for swimming!

Yeah! I made it to the grocery store. I only ended up with 2 extras today as apparently Kassie was not fit for company. I guess that she had been so crabby all morning that Kristi decided to just take her along rather than have me have to deal with her and the other 3. So, Rachel watched a sleeping Connor while I got to the store. We now have food.

Apparently, if I actually get off of my rear things get done. :confused3 Can you imagine? :confused3 :confused3 I've managed to wash and change the sheets on two beds, wash a load of clothes, clean out the fridge, wash dishesm clean two bathrooms, and give Terra a bath. Most of that was before 10:30. I came down to get something to eat thinking that it was almost noon and realized that it was barely 10am. I'll have to keep this up and see what else I can accomplish in the coming days.

Is that how it works?!?:rotfl:

Hope the baby shower goes well.

Thanks, it went well!!

Our school calendar is up & even though it is over a year away, I know when we will be going to Disney next year! The boys will have a 4 day weekend in Oct. I figure this way they will only miss a couple days of school & we will be able to go to MNSSHP :cheer2:

Nothing like planning ahead lol

Your talking about your 08-09 school calendar, right? Wow, our 07-08 calendar just came out not that long ago!

Funny I just sat down to relax when the school called Caleb got something wrong with his eye and it's all bloodshot and hurts so I'm off to call the Dr. while DH picks him up from school (as he had the car to go to the office today). Everyone have a fun afternnon.:goodvibes

Hope his eye is better. :wizard:

What a great honor for your grandmother! Sounds like the house was meant to be. What a tragic story.

It's cute.

Our dates for 2008 are June 21 - July11 or 12. Are you guys going to join us

We are trying to plan a trip and every time we pick a date something comes up. We were hoping to do around Thanksgiving but it's not gonna happen with all the stuff we need to do around the house and me taking off the entire summer. So in trying to minimize Emma's time off from school it looks like next summer will be it!!

Oh, now that's cool!!

Yeah it's really much cuter in real life!

I took time this morning to check car rental rates again :headache: It seems that the rate I have for Alamo for an intermediate SUV is the best that we can do for now. $551 for 22 days. It's not bad, but I was really hoping for under $500. The SUV is cheaper than an intermediate and Way cheaper than National. I've checked online and called both. Is there another rental company that you guys like?

I use Enterprise.
Have always been happy with.

That is something that we've never seen, It is definitely on my to do list for this trip :thumbsup2 I must also try schoolbread. Chris thinks he should try to drink his way around the world, but since he really never drinks I think he'll need to do this gradually :faint: :drinking1 :faint:

DisneyQuest is a huge TO DO for all 4 of my boys :lmao:

Deb I love Disney Quest.
I drop Ramiro off then I get to shop @ DTD all by myself.
 :cool1: :rotfl2:

I love getting DDA mail too, and I'm so sorry to say that I didn't make any postcards. I promise I'll be thinking about you all every day, though. I'll take lots of pictures and notes for a comprehensive trip report!

i love pictures and trip reports :goodvibes

No, since she gave you the option, I don't think it's a bad thing. It will give you more time to do what you need to do and you won't be rushed. On Monday you will be calmer and more up for the interview. Friday you would be all stressed. Good luck! :wizard:

I agree! Since Monday was offered then go with Monday!

Another great design Debbie!

Debbie, your T-shirt looks great! Sad about your neighbors not taking good care of those sweet kitties.:guilty:

Patches is so cute!

She is darling!

Janet - love the new picture collage!

I love the new pics, too!

Our cats love to lay on the boys backpacks :confused3

Tell Nick great choice of outfit for tonight!

The "work" cat has a thing for the kids' backpacks. And if I try to remove her she hisses at me!

:wizard: for Caleb! I hope all is well with his eye, please let us know.

I hope it's nothing serious!:wizard:

How nice Tia!

I am glad a family who will appreciate the house will be living there.

On a whim I was checking December airfare today. Over $400 per person!:scared1: I do believe we are staying HOME in December this year! I will keep watching the fares, though. DS has a 4 day weekend over MLK next year, so if we can't manage another trip before then maybe we'll go for a quick trip in January.

I'm still holding out hope that Airtran will have a sale, I am getting nervous. I want to book our flights soon for Dec.!

Looks like most of the DDA is in the same boat. Whether we are too busy or just not in the mood to reply, we all seem to be trying to keep up and think of one another. I just wanted to say that I think of you all every single day! Hope today is a great one for everyone....

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Ditto!
