Elizabeth - How sweet on the flowers! That was just too precious. I am glad that things are improved with Momboss.

Janet - How scary for Riley! I'm glad that he is okay and :wizard: that he isn't too sore tomorrow.

Anne Marie - Loads of :wizard: for your back and Katie's ear.

I am off to catch the end of Dancing with the Stars. I missed most of it already as we were at Rachel's recognition ceremony. It was pretty long, especially after the almost 45 minute memories video. Terra was pretty figety by the end. Be back later I hope!

Thanks everyone!

Riley is sore & I am sure he will be still in the morning. He has a baseball game tomorrow night, so we will see how he is doing.

It's that time of year up here in Northern NewEngland when we must lock into oil rates for next year. There is a local oil cooperative of sorts that we can join for $30. The prebuy price is $2.355 or we can lock into a fixed price of $2.405 and pay as we go. There is no telling what individual oil companies will offer and they won't do anything for another month or so. Last year this club beat the best prices by 10 cents per gallon. I'm thinking that we should jump in and get it over with. Has anyone heard what oil prices will be in their areas?

Deb

That is strictly something I know nothing about...sorry. I think I would go Co op.

Elizabeth-your new charge has very classy parents. I am also glad that momboss apologized and realized it wasn't you but her fears.

Cassidy's math final is tomorrow morning...I hope she passes....I don't even care if it's a high pass I just want her to pass. There is now a movement that this man's crazy grading rubric will soon be the way they grade throughout the whole dang school. :headache:

:woohoo: Apolo & Julianne won!

I was flipping between the finale and the season finale of Law & Order:SVU ....until L&O won out...it was awesome!!

I don't think there was a bad choice between the last three on Dancing.

Glynis - that accident is just so sad. :(

Elizabeth - I knew that MomBoss was scared. That is a normal reaction when someone is backed into a corner and doesn't see a way out. I hope her trial is over soon and she has times to look for a suitable replacement for you. I am sure they realize that they aren't going to find anyone nearly as good as you!

I have two classes and a big, school-wide recital today. So I probably won't be back unti late tonight. I hope you all have great days!

Interesting note... the DIS is almost back to normal time. I think the posting times are only off by a couple of minutes!

Good morning everyone! I hope you're all having a sun-shiny beautiful day. By the time Dancing was over last night I was wiped. I just had to get my daughter to follow suit. Darned nap in the car earlier! Don't mind me, I'm just tired. And of course getting home at midnight on Monday did not help.

Kristi and I went to our old youth minister's house for the evening on Monday as a friend of ours whom we hadn't seen in over 10 years was in town. It was so good to see her and truly inspirational. She moved to England 10 years ago and has had an rough life for most of that time. In the last couple of months, she has really turned things around and is doing amazingly. Even more inspirtational is seeing her after she lost well over 100 pounds. She looked so good! What was planned to be a couple of hours ended up stretching to almost six. Of course, I don't think we've known a little reunion and Mike and Heidi's to ever go short, but I guess there's always the thought they will, especially when we all have kids now. :rolleyes1 It was great fun though so I won't complain.

It was so wierd too hearing Tasha talk about living in England. Coming from Clare it makes sense as she is from there, but from Tasha it was even more interesting and enlightening as she is "from here". I am just hoping that everyone paid a little attention to some of the things she was saying about the differences in the press, politics, etc here as compared to most other European countries. It would be nice to be able to talk about some broader issues more rather than just having what the newspapers/newscasts report be taken as absolute truth and the whole story.

Okay, I am rambling. I knew that I should have gone back to bed after taking Phil to work.

Good morning, DDA!

DS has his awards ceremony today. I hope Brother behaves, because that is about the time of day he starts to NOT behave.

Tia - Momboss was born and raised overseas, so she still has many friends who don't live in the US. It is amazing how different the media coverage is in other countries. I hope the video montage for DS isn't 45 minutes!:scared: But there are only 41 kids in 5th grade, so it shouldn't be that bad! Sister's video was about 15 minutes and there were only 4 in her class, so you never know!

Elin - I hope the recital goes well!

Have a good day, everyone!:)

Good luck to Cassidy!

Good morning everyone! We have more rain possible for today, so try to stay dry Elizabeth and Lindsay!

Hi all!

Well this has been an exciting day ;) I got a call at work from Riley's school telling me he had been in a accident. It happened after school while he was waiting for his ride to come home. He was riding a friends bike & a lady opened her car door as Riley was going by & he hit the door & flew over over it & landed on the ground :scared1: Thankfully there are no broken bones, I will just have one sore boy tomorrow. He landed on his right side & his arm & leg are pretty sore at the moment. Never a dull moment around here

The lady did call me to make sure Riley is ok. I am not completely blaming her, but hopefully she will check her side mirror next time.
How scarey for Riley. I'm glad he didn't get hurt worse than some bruising. How is he doing today?

Well I love my heating pad....:cloud9: :lmao:

Took Katie to the dr..she does indeed have an ear infection.

Long day here...

I hope you both are feeling better today! :grouphug:

I think that I was most surprised at the video because at one point some a friend of Rachel's Mom called our Mom asking for pics as they had hardly any. They also had some video from each class (4) plus the principals and specialty teachers. Then there were the who knows how many pictures from the last 6 years. They will add stuff from last night and today's fun day before the kids get the DVD on Thursday. I was amazed to see pictures from just Monday in it already. Good luck today with Brother! Terra really did well considering many of the parents were getting antsy long before the video was over.

Theresa - Wish Cassidy best of luck on her exam today!!! We'll all be thinking about her.

Momboss came in tonight and she DID apologize. She is sad because she doesn't want another nanny. She wants to keep me, but they can't afford it with the 2 kids both having tuition. We all understand that, but Momboss is having a very hard time with it. She did say that it has NOTHING to do with me, she is feeling panicky because she doesn't want a new nanny. So we were able to talk about my last day in a rational manner, and I told her I will start my new job June 25. She has called a couple of agents, and she will have more time to dedicate to the search after she gets through this week at work. She is very involved in a big trial and it is stressing her out. I don't excuse her behavior, but I understand it and I forgive her. I am sad, too. The preschool director and I were both crying when we said good-bye today. The families at the synagogue are just amazing and I will miss them tremendously.

Momboss says I have to promise to give her top priority on babysitting, just behind my new charge. Which I would do even if I was angry at her, because I am so in love with the kids.
I'm glad you were able to talk things out. I can understand her feelings too, but it doesn't excuse her juvenile behavior. It is going to be a very emotional time for all of you. :grouphug:
