I can't get over how slow this thread has been lately. I think this is the longest it's ever been between milestones.

How is everyone doing?

I can't remember the last time I wasn't busy. The kids are asking when they can have their friends over and I keep telling them it has to be some day that I am not working and since I work about 6 nights a week it ain't looking good for them. :confused3 Someday I will have a life again, really :rotfl:

Has anyone heard from Kristine lately? Most of her designs are no longer viewable and she isn't responding on her thread. I hope that she is ok.

Hello, All!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Nothing too exciting going on here. Aurora has decided to start purposely walking up to Arabella to hiss at her. Maybe one of these days they will start to get along!

The job continues to vex me. Nothing from the family with the dad who works for Dadboss - not a single word. Yet Momboss is convinced they will hire me so she is on another tear to find my replacement. I haven't met these people and have NO IDEA if I want to work for them! How on earth can they hire me if we haven't had an interview? The agency called me about a job that I will probably interview for but I'm not the least bit interested (BOTH parents work from home, nanny isn't allowed to drive the kids anywhere, no TV and only organic food). I wouldn't last a week in that job.
I saw one on the website of the agency I had to work so hard to get listed with, but the hours are weird and the family might be weird, too. Right now the baby is only 6 mos. but there are some potential red flags as far as philosophies that could get ugly as the child gets older. Not everything can always be child directed, and teaching children that they can ALWAYS choose how things will go is a very, very dangerous message. I would like to meet them and hear their explanation of it. Maybe it just doesn't come across well on paper. They are also "no TV" but you can take the baby out.

I am glad you all are busy....I finally got my DSL set up :rotfl2:

So Grandma said we could take our time to get out.....she's already had people in adding a heat lamp into the bathroom we used. :rotfl2: She didn't let anything get cold.

I had that with my Panasonic, but it was so big and bulky, so I went to the Canon. I guess everything is a trade-off. :confused3
Could you bring both to WDW and only use the Panasonic at night? My Sony is only 1.3 pounds. I really didn't notice it being a burden (but I didn't have any kids with me). I did buy a better strap than I had in December and that really helped.

This is the camera that is on my wish list! Your pictures are tempting me to look more into it!
There may be some bargains out there on the H2 & H5 now that the H7 & H9 are out.

Bernadette - LOVING YOUR TRIP REPORT!!! I especially love that I now can relate to your pictures and report. I can look at the pictures and say, "I was there!" Now I just have to convince Alan to go back.
Any thing I can post pictures of to temp him?;)

Did you make your Drs appointment yet like you said you would a few weeks ago? I finally went today and even made the mamogram appointment for Friday.

I am looking forward to the most is our 3D ultrasound on Thursday.
That will be SOOOOO cool!

This is the little boy who passed away from drowning Sat. Mark worked hard to get his dad back state side from deployment in Qatar.
It was one of the worst days/nights of Mark's job this past year.

How sad.:sad1:

I started watching the CMAs at 9, but I'm not taping it...Sorry.

I had my mammogram 1-1/2 weeks ago. I skipped them for the last two years (not intentionally but I forgot my appointments & never rescheduled). After posting about it a couple of weeks ago, I decided I should take my own advice. The results came back and all is well.

That's good to hear. I went last year and we decided that I only need to go every 3 years at this point in my life. I guess that means I don't need to go for 2 more years. I have to admit that I am thinking about going next month to have it done anyway. While I'm there I wonder if they can give me a shot or something to stop TOM while I'm on my lengthy vacation this summer :rotfl: That is the last thing that I want to deal with on vacation.

Abi had her follow up doctor's appt today....she will go to the allergist in 2 weeks. She's hoping that the doc is going to clear her for a pet....her regular doc snuck in 3 shots...we are still on the fence for HPV. The doc is thrilled with Abi's improvement with meds. So are we. Her scioliosis is stagnant.....she has a slight curve.

Cassidy could have lettered this year...she just didn't turn in a couple of papers....the goober!!

I am going to love having DSL....don't have to worry about missing a couple of calls.

We got to eat at our new kitchen table for the first time tonight. I never knew I had such modern tastes. :confused3

You are such a tease. We are still waiting on pictures of the house and now we must see the table too.

Dr. thinks I have probably started perimenopause which can last 5 years. What a PITA. TOM is coming more frequently, lasting longer and is much stronger. Plus, I am warm alot. Now, mind you I need to wear gloves sometimes in the summer in air conditioned buildings because I'm always cold!!! I wear sweaters/sweatshirts year round unless I'm outside during the day when the sun is shining. All of a sudden, I'm too warm to keep them on all day.

Jen - Sorry - not a country fan. And DS & DH were watching the baseball game - TX vs Tampa at WWoS in WDW!

Paula - How horrible for that family! And what a burden for your DH to deliver the news. So tragic!

Robyn - Princess Lucy in 3D sounds fabulous!

Vicki - I am glad your results are fine! No mammogram for me until 2010.

Momboss signed Brother & Sister up for camp. They have 6 weeks of camp and about 4 weeks at home before they go back to school on Aug. 21. The hard part will be getting through the first 12 working days they are off after school ends & before camp begins. I will have to come up with LOTS of places to go. Brother has become obsessed with Shrek so I am sure we'll go see that.

DS only has 7 more days of school. We need to finish pulling that million $ project together. I think we will add on a flat screen TV, video game system (Nintendo or something) and a baseball game cartridge. At $3000 each for 100 guests it makes a perfect party favor and brings us up to a million from the $700K where we are now!:rotfl2:

We went to an Awards Banquet last night where Becky got a scholarship. She has turned into such a young lady. I miss my little girl sometimes.

We started the day with the Segway tour. It was me, my friend and her SIL-the 22 YO chose to sleep in with the girls. It was so much harder than I anticipated. I got really nervous at the begining and felt out of control. I came very close to giving up but I really wanted to do it and they were great about giving me a few minutes to pull myself together. Once they told me that I didn't have to keep the Segway perfectly still and could "drift" a bit I was OK. The moving around part was easy-the standing still part was very hard. We had the best instructor and tour guide. I couldn't have done the tour without the patience of the tour guide. We did an hour inside and then moved on to the world showcase. It was our only really bad smokey day. After the tour the wind changed and the smoke cleared. I am so glad that I stuck to it as it really was so much fun. Now I want to do it again someday as I think I'll be a lot less nervous about it. You can see the smoke in this photo.

We met up with the girls after the tour and got fast passes to Soarin. We rode figment and then the 9yo was chosen to participate in a little "skit" by the inventor. It was really special for her. Then we met with Figment. Saw Honey I Shrunk the Audience. We went to ride the clam shells at Livings Seas. The line was way too long-one of the longest of the trip. We did Turtle Talk-love this show and the new larger theater is great. We went to Ice Station Cool and then to Character Connection but the line was too long so we just saw Snow White and Dopey. We had a 2:24 fast pass for Soarin and figured that was just enough time to do that before our 2:50 ADR at GG. The character interaction at GG was great but the food wasn't as good as I had had in the past. I think because last lunch is at 3:00. I will still keep my ADR for dinner in August but wouldn't reccomend a late lunch.

We did the free Visa character photo and I think this was the SIL's favorite part of the trip. Her 7yo is very shy and at this private greeting she was dancing with the characters. SIL & I went to pick out photos from the shoot (both friend & I have Visa so we got 2). We left the others in Innoventions. The girls loved Innoventions and we still had to drag them out of there when we returned from getting the photos and viewing the Photopass photos to date.

I think that's the first time I've been called a tease. :rotfl:

Let me see if I at least can find a pic of the new stuff.

That's good to hear. I got the paperwork to get my first one done back in January, but haven't made the appt. yet. I guess I need to get off my butt and do it.

I keep thinking that with mine...I can just imagine how bad it's going to be shortly. My baby is done with elementary school in 5 1/2 school days. :guilty:

It's probably been about a month since I heard from her. I too hope everything is okay.
