Good Morning Friends. It is a sunny day here. It isn't supposed to get too warm today, maybe the 60s, but at least it looks beautiful out there. I need to catch up on laundry from yesterday. I don't know how they went through so many items in one day :headache: Oh well. I want to quickly pick up the boys rooms too, hopefully we can keep them tidy for a while. I have plenty of other things to clean so I should get my hiney moving. Have a nice day.

Deb

Deb - I hear ya' on the laundry. Although Arabella seems to be having a grand time scaling the mountains of dirty clothes. There is a load in the washer now so the rest can't really go anywhere until the washer is empty.

I am trying to decide if I need to take Arabella in for a vet visit today or if we should wait until she needs her next round of vaccines 3 weeks from now. I guess I can call and ask the vet what he wants to do.

I thought I had the perfect gift for your kids to give their Dad, but alas I can't find it. It is a brand new nose hair clipper set purchased on clearance after christmas a few years ago in the pretty Christmas packaging :rotfl: :rotfl: If I find it I will definitely send it along.
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Yes! If anyone has anything they want re-gifted, please let me know! :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Good morning!

I will also be spending the day doing laundry. I've already got the kids off to school and made a trip to Walmart. Now I need to go out and weed-wack since we didn't have time yesterday. Today is Alyssa's last ballet class before summer break, and she has her recital on Saturday. I'm debating on whether I want to enroll her in a 6 wk. summer tap class. I know she would love it.

Bernadette - great trip report. Seeing the pictures of Pop is getting me more excited for October!

Well, i have a few errands i want to run today--just going to Goddard to see what hours i will be working for the summer and see who is in my class..Then im headed to the book store since i have a ton of gift certificates ...Later, im hoping to lay by the pool for a bit :)

have a great day everyone

Bernadette,
Sounds like a good start to your trip..I agree with Tammi, I am getting excited about Pop too!

Anne Marie - What a cool countdown calendar! Did you grab all of those paint chips during one visit or over the course of several?
That was over a few months last year. Our HD must be "on to us DIS'ers" because there are only a few chips out at a time. We were there just yesterday getting plants & they had 3 chips out..(no I didn't take them! :rotfl2: )

Anne Marie I love your countdown! We do not have the Mickey paint chips around here :( Hint, hint :rolleyes1

Had a great day over at mil's. Cooked out BBQ ribs with baked beans, potato salad, three bean salad, & watergate salad. I am stuffed! Best of all we talked Disney & about our trip in Dec. :thumbsup2

Riley & I went for a nice walk & now I am just going to relax.
I'll try to get some for you if you want.
Your Mothers day food sound yummy. I took a "break" from WW's this weekend.:rolleyes1

While I was cleaning I happened to find my stash of old Home Depot Disney paint chips. Yep, before the infamous Mickey head paint chips they had various characters on them and each chip had 3 different colors on them. Their were 5 different characters or that is how many different types I have.
Cinderella, Mickey, 101 Dalmatian, Winnie the Pooh, and Woody

Here is a picture of one of each type
DSC07990.jpg

I will probably use them to decorate my door for the cruise but not sure yet.:confused3
How cool, I have never seen those!

Sounds like everyone enjoyed their MD yesterday. We planted & went to Fridays for dinner. Katie was alittle fresh last night so she was sent to bed early.:guilty:

Today I get my present..the whole day off. I didn't want anything but to have a day off. Dana got the kids ready, breakfast, lunches for school, got them to school & is picking them up. He's also in charge of dance tonight & dinner, showers, & bedtime.:yay: I got up at 9am to kiss the kids goodbye & later I am going for a long walk on the beach.

I am so grateful for this day because this week is another crazy-busy week with the kids activities. Dance rehearsals Tues, Wed, & Thurs & the the recital on Saturday, baseball Wed & Sat (can't figure out how I am going to be in 2 places at once on Wed.:sad2: ) & soccer sunday....

I'm in the bittersweet camp with some of the others for whom Mother's Day is a hard day. So I decided we needed some levity!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I think I'm giving my Dad the prize for the most original Mother's Day gift. He took his wife to go see Rod Stewart. Yes, my 90+ year old Dad was at a rock concert. They spent the night at the casino, rested awhile, dined, napped and watched the concert.

They really like Rod Stewart, and said the concert was nice. For some reason, this just makes me smile. :hippie:  :) :cool1:

They sound cool.:cool2: :cool2:

We don't really live close to a Home Depot. We live close to Lowe's. I grabbed a few lime green Mickey's last year when we stopped at Home Depot to have a key made but I haven't been there since.

Tammi - Off the top of my head I can't think of any hideous gifts that we might have on hand, but I can think on it. People are always giving DH cheap golf balls. He hasn't played golf in awhile, but when he does play he uses expensive balls. The cheap ones end up at the back of the closet still in the package.

Apparently Aurora got tired of growling at Arabella. She marched back to the bedroom. Arabella is on my lap.

Morning, everyone!

Well, it's shaping up to be another busy week! I'll be so glad when school is out.

Today I'm babysitting my nephews. They are darling little boys, and I love doing it. The extra money for DL doesn't hurt, either, right?

On my list today are: making my weeks menus, laundry, reclaiming my kitchen from Alan's day of cooking, making doctor's appointments, and trying to squeeze in a nap somewhere. I did manage to get in a 2 mile walk this morning before anyone else was awake. I just love the quiet time while I'm out there. It's so gorgeous, and there's literally no one else around!

I hope you all have great days, wherever you are!

That sounds like a wonderfully relaxing day. I bet you could use more than just one day!

It's cool and windy here too. I need to pack our camper for our weekend camping trip, but I'm still unsure what to pack. It could be warm during the day, cold at night, It might be sunny or we could get showers :confused3 I really don't want to pack our entire wardrobes :rotfl2: I'm working Mon, Wed, Thurs and sunday this week. Tuesday Chris has ASE tests on Tuesday and we will be camping Friday and Saturday nights. It doesn't leave much time for anything. This is also the last week of the boys preschool so that is 3 days with a big chuck of time gone for transporting them. Oh well, it will all get done, it always does. If it's slow at work tonight I need to sew patches on Hunter's cub scout uniform and maybe come up with a menu for the camping trip. I'll just keep setting little goals and chip away.

Before work I'm trying yet again to work out our Disney budget. I KNOW that I wrote down all of the numbers at one time, but who knows where? I think that I'm in great shape at this point, but need to see the numbers for sure.

I'll try to read after work.

Deb

Hi all,
Hope all is well with you all.
We have been rather busy. I have been taking classes for my Real Estate license so I can be a loan officer. I fifgure I want my cake and eat it too with a job so this is one that will work that way. I have two classes down and one to go before the state exam.

Elizabeth has been at a lot of Dr. appts with her lack of growth. So far all is clear but they are not happy with her growth. She has a few more tests to do and then I think I will call it quits for a while. She has been poked more times than a child should. One of her big tests yet to be done is an L Dopa test (IV for two hours or more with them giving her growth hormone during this) and then she has the CF test we can't seem to clear.

Gabrielle is doing great and had a fabulous month at school. She recieved her bile for memorizing 26 bible verses (A-Z) and was she a proud girl. She is ready for swim class and can't wait for our trip to DL in Nov.

Mark has been so very busy with work. It's one little trip after another, then he is the 1st Sgt as well (this means he is the guy they go to when someone is in trouble or has an emergency). He carries a blackberry (sp) with him all the time now (can't wait for that to go away) and I tell ya he seems to always be doing something with work. This past Sat he had to find a member who was deployed and get him home because his son drowned. That is part of the job he so dislikes, the sad stuff just sucks. He does get to go to a lot of cool lunches with many big wigs. I guess that's good.

Other than that we are normal day stuff.

Chat with you all again soon.

Hi there Paula!!!

I was beginning to get really worried about you!!

Poor Bethie.....no kiddo should be poked and prodded. Hope they figure out what's up sooner rather than later.

WTG!!! to Gabrielle...what a smartie you have there.

I hope real life slows down for you soon.

Hugs to your family from mine!!

Paula! So nice of you to drop by! We have missed you here!

Poor Bethie, hope that all is resolved soon! I miss seeing pictures of your little cuties!princess:

Here are a couple of pictures of the play center that I put together for Leighanna.

The instructions said that it should only take 3 hours to complete with two adults. I guess with 3 adults and 1 child the time frame is 13 hours!:rotfl:

Hi, Paula!

Sounds like you are tremendously busy! Good luck with the real estate licensing! That could be a really good thing for you.

I'm so sorry that Elizabeth is having a hard time with doctor's lately. That is never very fun for anyone involved. Here's hoping they figure out what's wrong and are able to deal with it.
