Finally caught up!

I never did get a nap, to much on my mind. So I took a chill pill & I am feeling better now :thumbsup2

Thank you all for your concern, it is nice to know you all care :goodvibes

Of course we care - that's what friends are for! :goodvibes

For your vieiwing pleasure, I found the link on AllEars to all the ticket designs for this year - scroll down to the bottom. So cute! http://www.allearsnet.com/tix/tixpix00.htm

Oh those are just to cute! I got the one with Cinderella. I would love to get one with Tinkerbell, The Happy Haunts, or The Seven Dwarfs!

We just made the 1st payment on the house. I did call to tell our landlord(well he's not anymore, but he is who we are buying from)about what happened & he is getting us another one! I did not ask, he just offered, so I was very happy.

We have Ins., but the deductible cost more the water heater would & as far as smoke damage it is contained to the basement(it is not much though), thank goodness!
I'm glad he offered! (And I'm glad you called!)
Yes, I love all the new ticket designs. I had seen before the 2 we got on our MVMCP tix (the one with the teacups, and then the one with Mickey and the gang flying over Cinderella Castle). But when I opened our MNSSHP tix, there were 2 more new designs (I ordered my parent's tix, too, so I could get them our discount) - and they were so cute. Before I even had time to look at them, Jonathan had already laid claim to one! :rotfl:

One of the new ones had the Incredibles riding the AstroOrbiter, and then the other has Mickey surrounded by people wanting his autograph and says something like "where everyone screams when they see a mouse." Very cute! :goodvibes

Of course, I'm also the girl that had the guest relations folks in DTD in December open up the ticket machine so my AP could be printed on the Tink one. :lmao:
I've already laid claim to the one with Goofy! :rotfl: I'll have to remember that trick if I ever want to upgrade to an AP!

I'm looking at the pics of the tickets - would you believe we are still selling 2000, 2003 and we just started getting the 2005 tickets in stock to sell?? We still don't have the Year of a Million Dreams tickets to sell yet! :confused3 Oh well!

I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY! It's almost Wednesday!! Halfway through the week!

Well we are heading over to my bil's to cookout & get showers!

Hope everyone has a nice evening!

Ok, my friends, I need some preschool help. Leslie has been assigned the "sound box". She has been assigned the letter Y and has to fill the box with items that start with Y. My mind is having a brain warp, and the only things I can come up with are Yarn, Yo-yo, Yogurt, Yellow (I'll put a yellow crayon in the box). Can anyone else come up with any other Y items?

Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone I thought I would just pop in to say hi and let everyone know how we're doing. I miss being able to chat but things with Zack and school has been hectic. Throw a few ER visits in and what a spring. Effie was climbing in the kitchen and fell and cracked the back of his head so needed stitches. But we are doing well.
Zack is now on some medication and I feel like we're actually making progress.:thumbsup2 He has autism spectral disorder and PDD-NOS and is being evaluated by a occupational therapist for sensory integration disorder.
The kids have 1 month of school left and I have a ton of volunteer things to wrap up. I hope everyone is doing well and maybe I'll have some free time when school gets out to DIS.:) I still have to plan our family's GG for this Dec. :santa: ADR's have to be made in June and I'm nowhere near figuring out what restaurants every family can agree on.
Well I'm off to gather up things for teacher appreciation week. Thank you to everyone who prayed for Zack this year as things are starting to go somewhere and I feel prayer had something to do with it. Thanks and I hope everyone has a great May. :goodvibes

Hi All, let me just start this with a reminder to make sure your FIRE ALARMS are working!

I have not had a good morning & one of the worst scares of my life. Before the boys left for school all of our alarms went off. I thought there was a malfunction or something. Garrett got the alarm upstairs off & I got the one downstairs. We head to the basement to get that alarm & when we open the door, smokes comes rolling out. I know I shouldn't have, but I went down to see what was going on. The water heater was smoking & then it went into flames. Ok I am really in panic mode now & tell the boys to get out. I call 911 & tell them I have a fire in the basement. The lady on the phone tells me to make sure everyone is out of the house, yes they are but I want to go back in because I am in my underwear(I can laugh now). She keeps saying ma'am you must stay outside. Well 3 firetrucks pull up & I run quickly in the house, grab my pants & go back out. As the guys are walking up, I am pulling my pants up. I know that should not have been important to me, but for some reason it was. I knew my boys were safe & Garrett had gotten our cats.

Anyway the wires on the water heater went wonky & caught the insulation on fire. They got it put out & brought a machine in to get the smoke out. Other than needing a new water heater & the basement smelling horrible, my family & home are ok.

My mind is still reeling & I feel like I am in a fog. This was very scary & my nerves are shot! I thank god that I was home & that our fire alarms are connected to where when one goes off, they all go off. If no one had been home, we probably would not have a home right now. I am also thankful that my family was safe, I have to many what ifs right now & I need to get them out of my head!

So please everyone make sure your alarms are working properly, as I found out this morning you never know when you might need them.

OMG !!
Happy to hear all are safe.

Christi!!! It's so good to "see" you! Sorry about the ER visits, but I'm so glad that Zack has a diagnosis, and you feel good about what is going on. Stop in when you can and let us know how he's doing.

What is up with the Dis.
The Dis is so slow.
Some times my posts don't post.
I have had problems for the last 3 days.
:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

That kitty sure is loved!!

I'm glad it is all working out, even though you will have to pay out of pocket for the surgery.

I heard back from the foster mom, and we are tentatively set for me to get the kitty tomorrow morning. We will have to pay for all of her vet bills, but at least we will have her and know she is safe. I think the foster is very bitter about the way the group is handling things, so she is quite happy to tell all their secrets. Our vet's office was APPALLED that they were going to spay such a little kitty - they want the kitty to be at least 3 months old.

I can't imagine how scary this was for you. I, too, am thankful that you, your family and your house are all safe. I'm sure Elin can sympathize with you.

YIKES! Janet I am so glad you all are safe! Didn't you just have somebody out to look at that water heater a month or so ago? I would be calling that guy and telling him the thing burst into flames!:scared1:

Hugs and pixie dust for Molly. I hope that all will be well with her!

Tell Emma how proud we all are of her! That is such a wonderful accomplishment! You all should be so proud!

I hope Molly feels better soon! Congrats to Emma!!

jus tstopping by to say hello..the field trip was fun and they ahd a little going away party for me--so sweet! they gave me a picture of the kids, and 2 teachers gave me 25 dollars to barnes and noble each..so yay!

im off to get my hair done..have a great day

How nice to be all finished AND have a party (with presents!) to top it off!

My P&PP & MNSSHP tickets came in the mail!!!!!!!!!

YAY!! Love those tickets! We got a Tink, an Incredibles, and a Mickey (flying) for P&P. DS claimed Incredibles, so i guess DH will have Mickey & I will have Tink.

Tell me about it! I just hope the next 3 months go as fast as the last 3 have.

But, at least this year, we have a fully staffed dept. with great people (thank goodness, and knock on wood!). This is actually the most prepared I've ever felt before the start of a summer program, so that does count for something! :thumbsup2

I hope it goes well!

Well, at least you know where things stand now, and have a plan of action. Plus, it sounds like the foster mom is on top of things, so that likely means she's been taking good care of your kitty in the interim!

Can't wait to see more pictures of her! Did you guys decide on a name?

We are waffling between Anastasia and Anamaria.

Great pics, Anne Marie! It does look like you had a gorgeous day, and congrats to Daniel again!

What a beautiful family you all are!!! :goodvibes

Lovely pics! And more cake!:rotfl2:

Sounds like a busy day, Karen. Where are you going to interview. Much :wizard: that this one ends up being perfect for you!

And please keep us posted on your attendant's friend's brother. Hopefully, as you said, no news is good news!

Good luck tomorrow, Karen!

Finally caught up!

I never did get a nap, to much on my mind. So I took a chill pill & I am feeling better now :thumbsup2

Thank you all for your concern, it is nice to know you all care :goodvibes

Janet, I am so glad the former owner is going to replace the water heater for you!

We found out today that DS passed all of his TAKS tests! The teachers kept saying the Science test is really hard, and the kids only get one shot to pass it. If they fail the principal has to give them permission to go to the next grade level. Since our principal was fired in the aftermath of the lawsuit the lady we have now doesn't know DS from a hole in the ground, so I am VERY thankful that his future does not rest in her hands!

Have you guys heard the rumor that in 2008 there will be no tips included on the DDP? Interesting. We already know that we come out ahead with the DDE card. The only reason we have DDP for August is because it was free. Would you still buy DDP if you had to tip out of pocket?:confused3

I second this, Janet! I am so glad you were home and that the alarms worked. Ours also worked last September and if it had not, I don't know that I would have wakened up in time. :grouphug:

P.S. - I hope there is NEVER a next time, but if there is...............
