Hi Lindsay! I forgot to ask......how was Hawaii?? (I know, stupid question. )

It was wonderful. :goodvibes (surprised?)

I still owe you guys pictures - I haven't forgotten. I will try to get some up in the next few days!

Janet~ I am so happy to hear that everyone is safe and that your house is still standing. Thanks for the reminder.

Elizabeth~ What a situation with your poor :cat: I hope she is home with you all soon. :scared1: What a schedule for your DH, but at least Toad is gone.

Tammi~ Sorry you are having to deal with the stress of XH2B. Loving the trip report so far.

Deb~ Here's some :wizard: that Nick feels better soon!!

Marci~ :wizard: that the boys can get their games in. Seems like you'll be playing into July.

Jen~ Hope the field trip was a great success.

Becky~ Good to see you! Thanks for the heads up on the fork/spoon set. We will have to check the Disney Store.

Tom~ Good luck with the swing set set up! Good to see you around too!

Tia~ Sounds like you'll stay busy right up til you leave.

Glynis~ A picnic sounds like a lovely idea for the weekend. Thanks for the update on Clare.

Lindsay~ Try not to work too hard know that it's getting busy.

Heidi~ Did you decide how to spend all your bday money?

 and :wizard: to all that I missed.

Molly is not feeling herself today, she woke up with a fever so I am suspecting a sinus infection as she has been dealing with her allergies. If she isn't better tomorrow then we'll be headed to the dr.s. She is thankfully napping right now. I've spent the past hour or so out in our front flower beds digging up some old shrubs and planting the new flowers I got last night.

Oh, and I'm not sure if I mentioned this last week or not, forgive me if I did. Emma's teacher selected her to be part of her school's Talent Development Program for her reading. Apparently it is the precursor to the Gifted and Talented Program. She and 4 other kids from 1st grade meet with the director once or twice a week and discuss a specially selected book that is supposed to challenge and promote higher level thinking. Eric and I are so proud of her! Now only if I could get her to love doing her homework!

Great recap, Robyn, so I'm just going to say "ditto"!

I hope Molly gets to feeling better. :wizard:

And "yay" for Emma! :dance3:

When we went to the food and wine festival in 2005 we had the flourless chocolate cake with irish whiskey sauce. It was sooooo good. Fast forward to next weekend. We are doing the cub scout camping trip and I have a recipe for a delicious croc pot chocolate cake that is served warm from the crock pot. I was thinking of making an irish whiskey sauce to go along with it. Does anyone have a recipe that they would like to share?

Deb, we got my MIL the cookbook from the '05 F&WF. Do you want me to check with her to see if by chance this recipe is in there? I'm happy to do so!

Ok, I finally got Daniel's communion pictures uploaded....

Before we left...

Great pics, Anne Marie! It does look like you had a gorgeous day, and congrats to Daniel again!

What a beautiful family you all are!!! :goodvibes

Janet i am so glad that you and your family and house are okay.

i asked my attendant last night if she heard from her friend about his brother. when she talked to him at 2:45pm he was still in surgery and his surgery started at 8 am yesterday. she has not heard from him since so we are hoping no news is good news.

i am gonna have a busy day tomorrow. i am going to get up and head out to the interview. then my attendant and i will go out to eat lunch and pick her son up. after we pick him up we are going to take him to target and get pictures taken of him. tomorrow afternoon is my moms retirement party at school at 4:30. ugh!

Sounds like a busy day, Karen. Where are you going to interview. Much :wizard: that this one ends up being perfect for you!

And please keep us posted on your attendant's friend's brother. Hopefully, as you said, no news is good news!

Thank you for the offer Marci, but I better get him a med. I would hate for you to go through the trouble of mailing them & then not fit. Thanks again!

Janet -- I just checked, and Andrew's sliders are size small. If you'd still like for me to send them so he can try them, I'm happy to. Just let me know.

Tammi you vent all you want, we are here for you

I am always venting to friends. It's a good outlet for me, especially when xh2b does something that really ticks me off. The only thing that really upsets me anymore is when it seems like he doesn't put the kids first.

Jen I hope you had fun today with the field trip!

Enjoy your time off from work Tom!

Good Morning DDA!

The sun will be shining all day, and most of tomorrow. Just a slight chance of t-storms tomorrow night. It should give us plenty of time to get Leighanna's play center together!

How much has the time changed, are you getting in later?

At the rate my flight time is changing - I don't think it'll be a problem! The hotel night also includes a round of golf - so maybe we can head over to the Swan/Dolphin and play a round over there too!

Hope Nick is feeling better :wizard:

Riley is feeling fine today, his biggest complaint yesterday was having a bad headache & going from being cold to hot. Glad whatever it was passed quickly!

Nick is home sick with a head cold and stomach ache. colby is in my arms so it is hard to type. Just wanted to say hi. Have a good day all.

Deb

Glad to hear you will be getting the kitten soon. Have you decided on a name yet?

Well, oops. After I fired off my not-so-nice e-mail the foster mom called me. Turns out they wrote us up for the WRONG kitty! Which is why the one on the website is still there. She's not our kitty. There were 2 kittens that had almost identical markings, but one had some little bald patches on her face. We chose the one without the bald patches. The poor foster mom has been trying to get it sorted out as to which cat is actually our cat. So that's one issue.

The next issue is she said the vet who used to do their spays was just fired and replaced by 2 other vets. The one vet she doesn't care for at all, the other vet is a bit of a butcher. I told her I want the kitty released to us and spayed at our vet. She just called back to say they DO have permission to release the kitty to us, but we will be responsible for the cost of the spay. That will make DH really mad, but that's life. This way we get our kitty this week and we can take her to our vet who we know and trust.

What a bunch of drama for one kitty!:headache:

the place i am going to tomorrow has an open house on wednesdays and its open between 8 and 5. ill be going in the morning so when ever i get there.

Hope Molly is feeling better :wizard:

Congratulations to Emma, you should feel proud :thumbsup2

No recipe, but it sure does sound yummy!

Lindsay I hope your work load is not to hard on you this time :wizard:

:cool1: on getting your tickets! I had not seen the new design on the tickets, so that made me even more excited lol

Tell me about it! I just hope the next 3 months go as fast as the last 3 have.

But, at least this year, we have a fully staffed dept. with great people (thank goodness, and knock on wood!). This is actually the most prepared I've ever felt before the start of a summer program, so that does count for something! :thumbsup2
