I think the boards are a bit wonky tonight. I couldn't get on when I first got home and considering the few posts from tonight I'm betting that others are having difficulty.

Speaking of Wonky...Has anyone heard from Clare. Everytime that word comes up I think of Clare :goodvibes

I talked to her via email about a week ago, and she said that she is really busy at work. She promised to try to pop in and say hi when she could. Other than that, she is doing well.

I am always venting to friends. It's a good outlet for me, especially when xh2b does something that really ticks me off. The only thing that really upsets me anymore is when it seems like he doesn't put the kids first. Or when he says something stupid like "I'm entitled to have the kids for holidays too. It's my right." :headache:  When he is the one working 12 hr. days (including commute), coming home and fixing dinner, shuttling the kids to activities, getting their homework done, bathing them and putting them to bed, and starting all over the next day, then he can talk to me about rights! Things like that are what stresses me out. But now that soccer is over and school is winding down it won't be so bad for me. But it will start all over again in the fall, with 2 in school now. Also, it's good to have Bob to talk to since he's recently been through this too. He gives me the 'guy' perspective, and since he can rationalize things without being emotional involved, sometimes he can help me to see other sides of things. Ok, vent over. Thanks for asking, Glynis.

No problem! I'm sorry that you x2b is such a jerk! The kids deserve so much better (well, so do you, but you know that, right?)

I'm glad that you can talk to people. I'm especially glad that Bob is able to help you talk things out.

Feel free to vent away any time!

Good Morning DDA!

The sun will be shining all day, and most of tomorrow. Just a slight chance of t-storms tomorrow night. It should give us plenty of time to get Leighanna's play center together!

I can't wait to see pictures.

Good Morning, DDA!

Another beautiful day here! Our weather is supposed to get better and better through the weekend. We should reach 88 degrees on Saturday! Sounds like I'd better make some picnic plans or something, huh?

Today is preschool day! The twins only have 6 more days of preschool left!!! I can't believe it! So, I'll drop them off, then run and do my grocery shopping for the week. Hopefully, I can knock a few more items off my to do list.

Other than that, I'm home free! Laundry is caught up, and so are the dishes, temporarily! So, I'm planning on some DIS time this afternoon!

Talk to you all, later!

Just popping on to say "hi", and :wizard: :grouphug: :yay: all around. I was trying to catch up last night, and about that time the boards were going nuts, and I lost my long multi-quote response. So, know that I was thinking of you, but I'm not about to retype all that! ;)

Work is really starting to heat up - our first interns arrive next Monday, ugh. It's a marathon of meetings leading up to next week, too, plus my parents are coming in this weekend, so I need to clean the guest bathroom since we just repainted (again), etc. Plus, the weather stinks, and the thunderstorms woke me up last night. I'm with you guys, Marci and Elizabeth - we need the rain, but I could do without the severity (and the humidity).

But, on a brighter note, I ordered a laptop last week, and saw this morning that it has shipped - I may get it as early as Friday! We also got our MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets yesterday, and are officially under the 200 mark for our Dec. trip! :goodvibes

Have a great day, all - I'll try to pop back on later today!

It's intern time already?!?! Wow, time flies. Good luck with your busy summer.

Well, oops. After I fired off my not-so-nice e-mail the foster mom called me. Turns out they wrote us up for the WRONG kitty! Which is why the one on the website is still there. She's not our kitty. There were 2 kittens that had almost identical markings, but one had some little bald patches on her face. We chose the one without the bald patches. The poor foster mom has been trying to get it sorted out as to which cat is actually our cat. So that's one issue.

The next issue is she said the vet who used to do their spays was just fired and replaced by 2 other vets. The one vet she doesn't care for at all, the other vet is a bit of a butcher. I told her I want the kitty released to us and spayed at our vet. She just called back to say they DO have permission to release the kitty to us, but we will be responsible for the cost of the spay. That will make DH really mad, but that's life. This way we get our kitty this week and we can take her to our vet who we know and trust.

What a bunch of drama for one kitty!:headache:

AHA! Fantasia Gardens - located behind the Dolphin! :rotfl:

well, kind of... it is at the intersection of the main road and the one that S/D and YC/BC are on. It is a gorgeous course too!

Is this new code for packages only? And apparently for summer, not fall?

Elizabeth, what a mess. :sad2:
:wizard: that you get your kitty soon.

John and I didn't care for Fantasia Gardens.

I called on this one. Apparently it's a code that normally pops up for castmembers to offer "upgrades" for those that are flexable with their dates. They'd get a pop up box or something along that line saying "try code xxx for week before at "insert one step up resort here" to sell client" type thing. It's good for travel from 4/21 to 9/21 with booking through 9/21. See if it'll work if it falls in your dates!

Winter Summerland is over by a water park right? I just thought that we'd be able to walk over to Epcot/MGM after playing a round of golf instead of having to take a bus...but Summerland might not be as crowded... HUM...

Hi All, let me just start this with a reminder to make sure your FIRE ALARMS are working!

I have not had a good morning & one of the worst scares of my life. Before the boys left for school all of our alarms went off. I thought there was a malfunction or something. Garrett got the alarm upstairs off & I got the one downstairs. We head to the basement to get that alarm & when we open the door, smokes comes rolling out. I know I shouldn't have, but I went down to see what was going on. The water heater was smoking & then it went into flames. Ok I am really in panic mode now & tell the boys to get out. I call 911 & tell them I have a fire in the basement. The lady on the phone tells me to make sure everyone is out of the house, yes they are but I want to go back in because I am in my underwear(I can laugh now). She keeps saying ma'am you must stay outside. Well 3 firetrucks pull up & I run quickly in the house, grab my pants & go back out. As the guys are walking up, I am pulling my pants up. I know that should not have been important to me, but for some reason it was. I knew my boys were safe & Garrett had gotten our cats.

Anyway the wires on the water heater went wonky & caught the insulation on fire. They got it put out & brought a machine in to get the smoke out. Other than needing a new water heater & the basement smelling horrible, my family & home are ok.

My mind is still reeling & I feel like I am in a fog. This was very scary & my nerves are shot! I thank god that I was home & that our fire alarms are connected to where when one goes off, they all go off. If no one had been home, we probably would not have a home right now. I am also thankful that my family was safe, I have to many what ifs right now & I need to get them out of my head!

So please everyone make sure your alarms are working properly, as I found out this morning you never know when you might need them.

That kitty sure is loved!!

I'm glad it is all working out, even though you will have to pay out of pocket for the surgery.

I am going to lay down for awhile, I will catch up later.

Tammi I sent you a PM!

I can't imagine how scary this was for you. I, too, am thankful that you, your family and your house are all safe. I'm sure Elin can sympathize with you.
