Can someone PM me the link for the Rattatoulle preview on the rewards site? I forgot to email it to myself at work.

Wow. What a tough situation. I don't have much advice, but I can give you lots of hugs.

Maybe you could tell Emma that Baba is going to be living with her niece for a while so they could get to know each other. Make sure you stress that Baba still loves Emma, and that it would be good for Emma to write a letter to Baba to let her know that she is still loved, and missed (by you guys, at least).

Good luck!

I like Glynis's idea!! I can only offer more hugs and prayers. What a tough situation. :guilty:

Wow! It feels like I've been gone for weeks! You guys were really chatty all weekend. I had a really nice weekend with my family. My cousin was married on Saturday morning, and it was really nice. Her mother (my favorite aunt) passed away 2 years ago, so it was really emotional. It was hard on my uncle to see his youngest get married, and it was really hard on Robyn not to have her mom there with her. Lots of tears, both happy and sad, were shed.

I did get to spend lots of time with my parents and my siblings! That was wonderful! On Friday night, I went to a concert where my niece, Marina, was a guest soloist with the community orchestra. She is quite an accomplished pianist, and it was so wonderful to see her shine! She is only 15, but is so poised and beautiful when she plays. It was very cool!!! There was another soloist who played a double Bass solo, and he was INCREDIBLE!!! His bio said that he has been playing the violin since he was 18 months old!!!!!!! Wow!!!

Sunday was spent trying to reclaim my house after all the houseguests left. I hate that part of it! Oh well! We cleaned and then rewarded ourselves by watching Night at the Museum. Darling movie, and the kids really liked it! After they went to bed, Alan and I watched The Holiday. I can see why you guys recommended it. It was so cute! I don't usually like Jack Black, but he was really good!

I spent yesterday babysitting 5 nieces and nephews, while their big sister got her wisdom teeth pulled. By the end of the day, I was ready to tear my hair out! One of them smacked my dog on the head because she was barking, and it threw Cozy into a stroke. I was so angry. Donny was in time out for 2 hours for that one! Luckily, Cozy seems to be ok. She is getting quite old, so I know that we are in for more strokes, or worse.

Today, I'm babysitting 2 other nephews, and then I'll take all the kids to Katie's Hope of America program. I hate all the end of year stuff the elementary school does! We never have time to just relax!!! Oh well. Only 3 more weeks of school and then on June 2nd, we start the drive to Disneyland!!!

I need some advice from all of you.

Now the question is how do I tell Emma that her Baba has left and we probably won't hear from her again. It will break her heart. They are very close. Molly, while she loves Baba, really won't understand. Eric is devastated that she left like she did, even though he understands. I am sad too as I loved spending time with her and that she won't be here to see her new great granddaughter. She is the only one member of Eric's family that treated me as I was a real member of the family.

Any advice?

Robyn,

Until you know for sure where she is and if she is okay, just say that she has gone to visit for a while and you are not sure when she will be back.
That way, if she contacts you, you could talk. If she does not contact you in a few months, and Emma still asks, then you could tell her that sometimes relatives go thru times of stress and hurtful situations and she had nothing to do with it but she probably will not see her for a long, long time. Hopefully you might be able to correspond with her and that might help Emma.
At least you will have talked with Emma and she will feel comfortable with your answers.

I don't know...I think moving into your own place will be a great family activity. Maybe not relaxing, but think how relaxed you'll all feel when you don't have to deal with grandma anymore!

I need some advice from all of you.

Eric's grandmother, Baba, who I love dearly, up and left on Sunday. Things have not been good between her and my inlaws for quite some time. From the information I have which is spotty, her brother, who lives in Canada, called her on Sunday and she was complaining about the situation here. He told her to get to Dulles for a 5pm flight and she could move in with his daughter, her niece. Well she is 88 yrs old, doesn't drive and Dulles is in VA. From what I understand, Eric's dad, her son, took her to BWI and dropped her off. He was starting a new job that night so driving to Dulles was out of the question. At this point, I don't think Baba had a plane ticket. I can't imagine dropping my mom or dad off at an airport at that age and leaving her there with no real plan, but that's another story. Eric and I have not heard from her and honestly don't expect to. I think she is mad at us as well. There is so much drama involved in this whole situation that it would literally take me days to explain. We offered to have her move in with us but Eric's parent's shot that down. And I am angry at them for the way they treated her. Especially Eric's mom. She is it's her way or the highway and them 2 together is oil and water. The crap I've heard is beyond ridiculous.

Now the question is how do I tell Emma that her Baba has left and we probably won't hear from her again. It will break her heart. They are very close. Molly, while she loves Baba, really won't understand. Eric is devastated that she left like she did, even though he understands. I wish I had some good advice. I do have some     for you, though.

I guess I would explain to Emma that Baba needed to go spend some time with other relatives that she hasn't had a chance to see much of. Tell Emma that Baba still loves her a lot but just couldn't stay nearby right now. Can she write/call Baba? Will Baba respond well to her? A few more     .

My favorite aunt was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer that had spread to the brain and bones the day after my cousin's wedding shower. They weren't even sure that she was going to make it to the wedding. She did make it to the wedding, but there were lots of tears, both happy and sad, shed that wedding day. for you and your cousin.

I'm glad that you had such a great time visiting with family! I'm sorry that the family you were babysitting was such a problem but glad that Cozy is ok.

The end of the year is so busy here, too. May seems to be worse than June but both are crazy months. School is not out until the last week of June here. Preschools, however, end the last week of May. :woohoo: My 3's were a bit crazy today, so I am ready for a break.

The Mother's Day Tea at preschool went well today. The kids kind of sang and signed their songs, though I think there was more of me singing than them. I tried to keep it quiet, because I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but they needed to be able to hear me or they would have all been on different parts of the songs.

I forgot my camera today, but I don't know that I would have had the time to take any pictures anyway.

We made placemats, place cards, centerpieces, and a few things to hang on the walls in class the last few weeks. The mothers all loved them. I made little tiny lemon cut-out cookies, chocolate chip cookies with M&M's, and chocolate-dipped/sprinkled Oreos, and a fruit plate. My assistant teacher made mini muffins. I also had lemonade, juice, and iced tea. It wasn't anything fancy, but I think they all enjoyed it. I'm just glad that I get to check one more thing off of my list. I spent a good deal of my day baking yesterday, and it took me more than 1-1/2 hours to set-up, decorate, and prepare the fruit plate last night.

Good morning & Happy May Day!

Does anyone still take baskets around & leave them on door steps? I remember doing this as a child!

Elizabeth sounds like you have a rough day ahead

I haven't thought about that in years. I did that when I was a little girl too. I never did have my girls do it because I had totally forgotten about it. What a pleasure I got out of that.

Princess Laura has her own room, but the boys have to share. I have to share with dh, too. :rotfl:
Me too!:lmao:

Hi, everyone - did you miss me? :goodvibes
Welcome home Lindsay!!!!!

Well, Brother and I are back from the vet. My kitty died today.:sad1: I am so sad.
I am so sorry Elizabeth.

When I got to work this morning Momboss said she spoke to Dadboss and he told her his understanding of our agreement is the same as mine - I get Wednesdays off permanently. So if I have to work Mondays and Wednesdays over the summer they owe those mornings back to me the weeks the kids are in camp. Momboss said Dadboss told her he had no idea how she got so confused, but what I was saying about the schedule was correct. So that's nice, and that gives me hope that my vacation will be paid even if I don't work any more days beyond Aug. 10. Dadboss is very fair about business, so I trust him to honor our agreements.
I hope they honor what they said they would do..At least Dadboss is.

My new house is almost 1100 sq. ft
:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: Can't wait to see pictures! Congrats again!

I

Ah you just couldn't wait!!! Me neither! I am ordering them tonight. 5 P&PP tickets & 1 MNSSHP. I am broke too! Janet, are you getting an AP or just MYW day tickets? I still haven't figured out if I need an AP or can get by with day tickets.

I'm now broke :goodvibes I bought our P & P tickets for Aug 11 and our PAPs. I went through DVC member services and got a very chatty CM. She was wonderful, but it took 25 minutes :confused3 Oh well, another thing (2 things) off my to do list.
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We are all broke, but we are all going to Disney! At least we have our priorities right :rotfl:
