Hi, everyone!![]()
So, I was up at the crack at dawn, and against my better judgment, didn't go back to bed - I was doing some more planning, chores around the house, etc. Jonathan was working in the yard. I laid down on the couch at about 4:30, and fell asleep.
Shortly thereafter, Jonathan came in from doing the yard, and went to take a shower. When he got out of the shower, he stumbled into the living room, woke me up and said he couldn't feel his legs. His arms and hands were also clenching and cramping up, and he couldn't move them. His speech was slurring, and he was having difficulty moving his jaw, and it sounded like his tongue was swollen. Needless to say, this scared the absolute poop out of me, and I'm running around, trying to get clothes on him, saying I'm taking him to the ER. He's trying to fight me on it, but I manage to wrestle him into the car. I realize as I'm pulling out of our driveway that I really have no idea where to go, as the only hospital I know the exact location of around us is one that he doesn't have a good opinion of (as he's a pharm rep, he's in/out of a lot of hospitals). I decide to call 911, tell them what's going on as I'm pulling out of our subdivision, and the guy tells me to turn around and go home, as they can get EMT's and an ambulance out to me faster than I could get to any hospital (thankfully, we are close to a fire station). So, we turned back around, I got him back into the house and on the couch, and the EMT's arrived. This whole time, the guy from 911 is on the phone with me, monitoring his condition, and asking me for all sorts of signs of stroke.![]()
It was a great bunch of EMT's, and they got him stabilized with an IV drip, and on the way to the hospital. I think just having them there helped immensely, as one of the guys said Jonathan was so freaked out by what was happening that he was also starting to hyperventilate. We get to the hospital, they poke/prod, take blood, etc., and load him full of salt water. The final diagnosis was extreme dehydration and sun stroke, and it didn't help matters that he also has hypertension, and had had very little to eat before he did yard work in 90 degree heat. The hospital said in the summer they average seeing this in healthy men about 10 times a week. So, 5 hours later, we get to go home, and he learned a very valuable lesson. I'm just so thankful that I was home, as if it had been just about any other Saturday this summer, I likely wouldn't have been. Who knows, in his state, how long he would have waited to call for help.
So, needless to say, he's under strict orders to stay out of the sun for several days, and stay well rested, fed, and hydrated!
Don't let your DH's or family members do anything as stupid!
Good evening everyone!
This has been such a busy weekend! Seems like everyone else has been pretty busy as well. Unfortunately next week does not look much better![]()
Tomorrow besides going to work, Garrett has to be at the park by 5pm for his game at 6 & Riley has to be at the park by 8 for a make-up game at 9pmI don't think we have ever had a game start so late. The only day next week that there is not a game is Wednesday.
Both my boys are in Jr. High nowRiley will be in 6th grade & Garrett will be in 8th. Next year Garrett will go to High school

Evening everyone! It's been busy around here over the weekend so forgive me for not keeping up with everything but definately grab someand
for those that need it!!!
Mom's coming home on Wednesday - which means this weekend was spent cleaning the house from top to bottom. She will be painting our living room/dining room/hallway/computer room while she's here for three days - so everything had to be moved, dusted, swept, washed, you name it we did it. NEVER AGAIN. I'll be sure to take some before and after pics for you guys! (Heck, I should do that now while my house is still clean!)
Bob's grandfathers sister (I think that makes her his Great Aunt...) passed away over the weekend. She had been ill and in and out of a coma for a few weeks now. He'll be leaving Monday night for Detroit for the funeral.
Well myis done - off to go switch out a another load of clothes!
I hope everyone has a great evening!!!!
Thanks, Elin! Well, it will only be Craig & I, so we won't need the trundle. Well, unless he gets cranky and I kick him out of bed.![]()
So I need so good wishes to relax. I am so worked up and not sure over what exactly. Perhaps it is the pouring rain, and the 45 minute drive to the interview, or perhaps the interview itself or the fact I never got a confirmation email about the time of the interview, or perhaps the fact I don't feel well. I am off to call the interviewer to confirm.
I know I can do well, I currently just feel very blah.
ETA: I called the interviewer she was so apologetic, as she thought she sent me a response email. At least that is one thing off my list of worries.

Happy Birthday, June...
Well I hope whatever they decide on the stroller makes them happy. There are pros and cons to them all, so it's just a matter of prioritizing, I suppose.
As far as the BBB goes, we had a 9AM appt. and an ADR at CRT for 12 noon. Be aware (and I did not know this) that buses do not start running for DTD until 10:30 I believe. Luckily the driver of the TL bus said he would take us since he didn't have any other riders. I'm not sure what the official name of the style is that Alyssa got. It was the one with the extensions. She didn't want the plain bun one, since that was nothing different than how she has to wear her hair for ballet. Here are a few pictures:

I think you will be successful in getting your CRT ADR. The past 2 trips when I've called at my 180+10 day they didn't have availability. But when I called back on my 180 day I was able to get them. Good luck!

Thanks. Oh yeah, I forgot about the new BBB location at the castle. That will be so much better for all the little princesses who are getting done up for CRT.Alyssa just looks so adorable in these pics!I believe that's the Disney Diva style. I'd be fine with that or the style with the bun - I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that they don't want the crazy one with all the different colored extensions shooting off their heads like fire crackers!

Our original plan was to have them do the BBB at DTD (convenient to SSR), and then head over to CRT for the earliest lunch seating. Now that I hear that the earliest we can get in to CRT for lunch would be noon (and we have a 4:20 p.m. LTT ADR and the MVMCP that night), I'm chaning our plan. Thank goodness for the new BBB location going in to the castle - I've got them 9 a.m. appts. there, and then I'm hoping for the last breakfast seating at CRT (which I think the CM on Sat. told me is 10:15 or 10:20). That way, we might be back to SSR around noon or 12:30 so every can rest up for that evening (and have an appetite again by dinner!).

Today my Daniel turns 8.
I feel like it was just yesterday that I was having him.
I am so sad how fast it has gone.
