I am jealous that you still have Red Robin. All the ones up here closed.

So I have been thinking about what to give Brother & Sister when my job ends. I want to give them something really, really special. I think I am going to give them each a share of Disney stock from OneShare. Have any of you ever bought from them? Anything I should know ahead of time? Or does anyone have another brilliant idea? :confused3 The stock just seems like such a perfect gift.

I think there's still a Red Robin open over in Grapevine, Elizabeth, if you ever get a hankering!

The stock sounds like a great idea. I can tell you, though, that you might be able to get it done on your own for cheaper. My parents gave me a framed share of Disney stock several years ago (with a nice mat, frame that matched my furniture, and a little framed saying) all for about the price of what my mom said it would have cost through OneShare, and this was more personalized. Just a thought.

Or, you could always get them drawings that have been done at the Art of Disney, and have those framed. I have two hand-drawn pics of Tinkerbell hanging here in my office at work - I think they were maybe $12-$15 per drawing, and then I just had them framed. They're my favorites!

Good morning everyone. Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes.

My bratty sister put a picture of me in the paper today, telling everybody that I am 40. Good thing age doesn't bother me. :thumbsup2

What paper? :rolleyes1

Last count was 27 people

I am having tea, coffee, soda and bottled water.

Heidi, unless you know that most people will hit the diet soda pretty hard, I would think that 6 bottles might be a bit too many (but you can always take them back, as long as they're not chilled).

These are the kind of things I know from my job - how many drinks will people consume in an hour, how long does it take to ice down a beer...

Watch out - I might just take over the world! ;)

I knew that you would understand....I just didn't realize how much we had until we were describing it...It's just part of our lives. I think I underestimated replacement value though....heck if I know on those things!!

Always err on the side of over estimating! I just upped our personal property on our home owner's insurance again the other day - these spring storms always make me nervous, and we've added some new furniture in the last year.

We had terrible storms last night, and I felt awful because Jonathan and I weren't home - we've been taking a class at our church on Wednesday nights, and last night was the final one. My dog, who normally is not disturbed by weather, about crawled up my leg when I got home - it looks like we got it pretty bad with debris everywhere. They clocked winds in my neck of the woods upwards of 85 mph. A house was struck by lightning and burned down not far from us, and I noticed that one of our neighbors' trees was completely uprooted and balancing on the outer brick fence of the subdivision - they're lucky that it didn't fall the other way onto their house!

Thank you.

Happy birthday, and happy anniversary to you Heidi!!!

I think that you and John are doing just fine! Sometimes I tell Alan that as long as we take this marriage thing one day at a time, we'll be just fine! Here's hoping that you guys celebrate this special day together for the next 60 plus years!!!!!

Well, got to get back to work - lunch is over. Have a good afternoon, DDA! :goodvibes

There is going to be regular soda as well, but I don't know who all drinks diet. I am doing a lot of soda because the tea and coffee may not get touched.

I would think that 6 2 liter bottles might be a bit much with all the other beverages, but you never know.

Deb

Sounds ok to me! but then, I'm a diet drinker!

Thanks

I was talking with another DISer, she just turned 40 in Jan. Neither of us feel any different. Not sure why age bothers some people. :confused3

Here ya go Heidi,

I have decided age does not bother me any more.

Happy Anniversary as well

I agree, you are only as old as you feel.

Your daughter called you 2? Were you being bratty? ;)

Other than that you are as old as you feel or how old people think you are....which according to my daughter last night I was about 2. :rotfl:

I am thinking it will be too much also, but heck I'll give it away if need be.

Oooh, if you rule the world, can I be you right hand woman?

For some reason my computer room as been smelling like cigarette smoke for a while now. :confused3
I don't smoke and even when John does he smokes outside.

Also my brand new hot water heater is not giving me hot water today.

Happy Birthday, Heidi!!! Happy Anniversary, Heidi!!!

I've been trying to come up with a design for you. So far, this is what I have. I'm sorry that I have taken so long, and maybe you already have a design from someone else. If you have something different in mind, please let me know. I should actually have a few hours free tomorrow!

Do you only smell the cigarette smoke in the computer room? For a long time, I kept having a smell of cigarette smoke, but it seemed to be there no matter where I was. No one here smokes and none of my friends that I was around at the time smoked either. We finally decided it must be some weird allergy symptom, because it comes and goes and definitely gets worse when my sinuses are feeling bad.

Matthew seems to have whatever Miles had on Sunday and Monday. Matthew looks worse, though, and his cough sounds worse. He had a temp of 103.9 last night. He was actually trying to go to school this morning, and he is still running a fever! I know that it is hard to miss any time in high school, but he is definitely sick. He ended up sleeping almost all day, so I'm sure that even he sees that he couldn't have gone to school today.

hey everyone :)
hope you are all having a good day..im home , waiting for dr to call...all of a sudden, i feel like i got hit with a ton of bricks..lovely sinus infection..
