Abi's class learned how to write persuasively this past semester, here is what she just handed me:
Dear Mom-
I know you know that I want a pet, preferably a dog, a puppy is more like it really. From wanting this so badly, I thought I would write another persuasive letter. Just think of it as a second draft of the other letter I wrote.
I know in my last letter I said I wanted a Beagle but I am so desperate now, that I am going to ask only for a dog, to be broad and to make your mind more open.
I'm going to ask you for a smaller dog, like a dachsond or a beagle, or something like that. I haven't met Bailey yet, but if I do, I think that the dog we get will become good friends with Baily. Also, you just said this afternoon, that our cat will be an inside cat, which I don't want, I want whatever pet we get to have plenty of friends.
Besides that, I will treat it as you treat Cassidy and me. In other words, it will be like my own child. I will love him/her dearly, and will take care of him/her as well as love it. the rest I've already covered.
p.s. I will do all the chores for it, just get a pooper scooper.
The poor kid is desperate!! I hope that we are able to get a pet after the allergy testing next week.
