The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 25

Darn. I really like this family.:headache: This family that sounded so unreasonable on paper are the most gracious, welcoming people. Their boys are very sweet little guys. There would ALWAYS be people in my work space at this one because it is crazy busy there all the time, but I might kind of like that. There is a BUNCH of staff and business employees around. The house really is big enough that if the boys are tired or overstimulated I could easily move them to a quieter area. There IS TV, they just prefer to limit it. They haven't ever trusted anyone to drive the boys before, but they said I would probably be allowed to drive them or the mom would come along with us to do stuff. Well, if the mom has work to do then I will have to drive the kids, and the parents really do want them to get out and experience things. They do eat very healthy but that's not a bad thing, and shouldn't be too hard to adhere to. I can just pack a lunch if we're going to the zoo or something where I would ordinarily let the kids eat fast food. And money is not an issue in the least. The agent told them a high salary to begin with, and before I left the mom assured me that they can go higher if they need to so I will agree to come work for them.

Now I am completely conflicted. I like all 3 families that I met with, but I think this family knocks the one with the 3 kids out of the race. If I am going to do work-from-home parents I'll go with these guys.

DH and I had a long talk about this. The family I met last night would really be stretching just to get to my low end, and that is after I dropped my low end significantly. Chances are they would end up feeling kind of resentful if they were having to give up things just to pay the nanny. And then next year I don't know what I could expect in terms of an increase. Dadboss does 5% every year, plus a holiday bonus. If they were already paying me as much as they could afford then there wouldn't be much room for increases.

And now the agent just phoned and said this mom says I am THE NANNY for them and they are ready to hire me.

Hope this family is the 1 for you.
By the way your new kitty is adoreable.

Aurora is coming down with some sort of a cold/respiratory thing.:guilty: I don't know if she caught something from Arabella, or if the stress of a new kitten caused her to come down with something. She was sick last year about this same time with a similar thing and it got REALLY bad before it got any better. DH was having to feed her and give her water with a syringe. Hopefully she won't get too much worse. I am taking her to the vet on Monday just to be safe. The vet is going to have to name an exam room for us with all the money we have given him lately.

Hope it's serious.
Funny how we get so attached to our pets.
We have 2 cats.
I always address them as my girls.

Hi, Jo! Thank you. I am really excited about this family!
Arabella is constantly getting into things, but she is pretty cute.
I am just in awe of all of your projects! Everything always looks so nice when you are finished, and you always seem to know just what an area needs to make it look better!

Well the board's going down shortly.
I also want to get up early.
So catch ya later.

Ribyn, here's my idea for the girls shirts,

The house looks great, Jo! You must be so proud of all you have accomplished. :)

I'm going off memory here as I again forgot to quote anyone.

Debbie~ I love the idea for the girl's shirts. I had been trying to come up with an idea and kept hitting a wall. Thanks so much. Love Brandon's graduation pic. What a cutie he is! Yay for your November trip.

Elin~ What a great thing to happen to a wonderful person. You certainly are deserving!

Elizabeth~ So glad to hear you have all these options that have opened up to you. Hope Aurora feels better soon :wizard:

Jo~ I second Elizabeth. You amaze me and I sure could use you up here. ;)

Jennifer~ Sorry your's and Kyle's schedules didn't work out like you wanted them too. I think it's great that you want to spend time with him! Wish him a Happy Birthday!

Glynis~ Glad to hear that Alan will be able to make the twin's graduation.

Bernadette~ Sorry you'll not be able to make the DDA trip but what fun the kids will have!

I know I missed a bunch so :wizard: and 's. My girlfriend is on her way over to help paint Lucy's room. I need to get moving. Have a great day!!

Remember the yellow Mickey pin I was needing for Riley to finish his collection? With the boards being down last night, I decided to surf Ebay & I got his pin! I found one for $5 :woohoo: I also bought myself a Tinkerbell pin from the same seller :rolleyes1

Boy, I missed you all yesterday. We were busy, busy, busy.

Elin - Wow, what amazing students you have. I'm sure you certainly have helped to mold them into the fine young adults they are becoming.

Debbie - Brandon is just adorable.

Jo - Please move to VA so you can remodel my house.

Janet - congrats on the pins.

Elizabeth - You had a great day yesterday! I'm so happy that you've found something that is everything that you want. Could Aurora have allergies? Anytime something happens around the same time of the year it makes me think of seasonal allergies.

Lindsay the boys play about 2 or 3 games each a week, with a practice or 2 thrown in there. The only day I know that I won't have to go is Sunday. It gets hectic sometimes, but I love watching them play!

Elizabeth I hope you can decide which family is best for you & feel comfortable with your decision.

Elin sounds like you had a lovely evening.

Debbie your dgs is so handsome! Love the design for Robyn.

Jo your home looks great, I love all the work you do.

Jennifer sorry to hear about the mixed up schedules. I hope Kyle can enjoy his birthday.

Robyn have fun painting Lucy's room today!

Here are a few pictures of Alyssa's recital from yesterday. Because she is in the 4/5 year old class, they do their recital in the studio. I just they have found with this age a lot of the kids get stage fright if they do it in an auditorium in the high school. This way they are where they are comfortable.
