The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 25

Hi, all!

I still really haven't had a chance to read much. I'm going to need a good day to go back and see what I've missed. I'm thinking maybe next Wednesday...

I shouldn't really be on here now. I still haven't finished packing. Laura and I leave in about an hour to head to Hamden, CT for her synchronized swim meet. There are 10 or 11 teams in her age group, and her team needs to place in the top 4 to go to Nationals, so we could use some of that extra special DDA Pixie Dust!

Thanks for the birthday greetings!

I'll be back sometime on Sunday but probably not online until at least Monday.

Have a great weekend!!!

Beth

Sorry I missed you, Beth... :(

I hope the meet goes/went well!

Anne Marie - I hope your back gets to feeling better.

Jennifer - take care of yourself!

Deb - if I missed you and the guys, I hope you have a great camping trip and that the weather is not as bad as it looks now. Also hope you feel better!

Kristin and I went to Target today and she found the most hysterically funny, inane Father's Day cards. Has anyone seen the Baloney Boy cards? OMG... we had to sit down in the aisle at hold our sides. They are really "stoopid" but they seemed to strike a chord with the two of us this afternoon!

Tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. we are holding our Senior Recital at the school. Two of the students are mine. I am so proud of them both. One will be a piano performance major, on scholarship, next year. The other is majoring in Film Studies and Music Industry. :goodvibes

Deb, hope its just allergies instead of a cold.

Jennifer, feel better soon. :wizard: that you don't wind up in the ER.

Ann Marie, hope Katie feels better soon. :wizard:
:wizard: :wizard: that everything helps your back.

pixiedust: and :grouphug: to all.

Robyn, did you figure out a middle name for Lucy? I like Lucy Ann.

well I have kept nothing down all day. I did take a nap. I just talked to my OB she is calling in some Phenergan suppisority's if they dont work then I will have to go to the ER for IV hydration. I was supposed to work tomorrow but they told me to call in. So I have now only worked 1 day of my 3 days this week. We do 12 hr shifts.

Oh, Jennifer!! I'm so sorry! I hope the Phergan works for you. I was on Phenergan pills during all 3 of my pregnancies. They never completely took the nausea away, but I never threw up. I guess that's something, huh?

I'll keep you in my prayers!

:wizard: for you and Katie! Hope the meds help your back.
Thank you.

Sounds like something to check out!:rotfl2:

I just woke up I took the supp. around 5:50 cst and fell asleep. Just got up and ate some toast. we will have to wait and see if I keep it and the water down.

Tons of pixie dust for Laura and her team!!!!

Ditto! Good luck!

:wizard: for you and Katie! Hope the meds help your back.

Anne Marie, ask your Dr. if you can have a scrip for Robaxin. That is what my orthopedic surgeon prescribed for my back, and I can take it when I am working, driving, etc. The muscle relaxers from my regular internist weren't ones that I could drive with. I take 750 mg of Robaxin and 800 mg of ibuprofen 3 times a day when my back is messed up. My DH has known about dinner for awhile now. Is it maybe Bernadette's DH who doesn't know about dinner?

Yucky.....hope it works so that you don't have to go to the ER.

Jennifer, I hope the suppositories work! They didn't help me much, but maybe they are different now than they were 11 years ago!

Elin, congrats on 9,000

Yay, Elin!

I hope they work for you Jennifer :wizard:

You should be proud of yourself as well, congratulations!

My interview went really well. I like the parents, the DD is adorable, the house is nice, the job description is EXACTLY what I want. They want a nanny to come in and take charge and have the initiative to get things done as necessary instead of waiting for direction. It is my absolute dream job.

Unfortunately the salaries are just not lining up. We've managed to get within $60 per week of each other, which is $3100 annually. I could come down a little bit lower, but DH is starting to get testy about me coming down THAT low. I wouldn't be making less money but I would be working 13 additional hours per week. Then again, it is just ONE little girl. And she will be in preschool 2 days a week in September so I will have 10 hours a week where she isn't even home! I think this is the job for me. Now I just need to decide if working 13 extra hours for essentially the same money is what I really want to do!

Hi, everyone!

Well, I survived my 1st week of interns - only 13 more to go! I had an event last night, and have another tomorrow night, but I get to be home this evening. Of course, I just spent 45 mins. on the phone with Dell Tech Support, which was not on my agenda. Hopefully, these growing pains with my laptop will be behind me soon!

Jennifer - I hope the Phenergan works! There is not much worse than constant nausea in my opinion!:wizard:

Anne Marie - hope your back gets to feeling better! :wizard:

Elin - enjoy your concert tomorrow. That has to be such a fulfilling thing to see your students be so successful. :goodvibes

Deb - I hope you guys have a great camping trip, with as little rain as possible!

Beth - Happy Birthday to you, and to Miles! I hope that Laura has a winning weekend! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Robyn - loved the pics of Lucy - although admittedly until you told us she was sticking her tongue out in one, I really wasn't sure what I was looking at! :rotfl: Technology is amazing!

Elizabeth - the job does sound promising, although it's too bad that the salaries don't jive perfectly. Is the job as close as your current one? When would they want you to start?

:grouphug: :wizard: to anyone I missed!

Jennifer - I hope as the night has progressed you have started to feel better. I was never sick at all during my pregnancies so I can't imagine what you are going through, plus having to take care of Olivia on top of it all. :wizard:

Elizabeth - Good luck in your decision. If I can help you put in into perspective.....I'd say $3100 is at least one Disney vacation a year that you would have to give up. Can you live with that??? :upsidedow Have you watched GA yet??

Elin - congrats on 9000 as well as your students. They must be a reflection of you! :goodvibes

Alyssa has her ballet recital tomorrow. She is so excited about it. Her dad is working (I'm actually glad he won't be there). Bob is going to come, which helps me out. He can video while I take pictures.
