Hi Deb,

We are in Kansas for the wedding, but have had some upsetting news that I was hoping you could ask the group to pray for. My grandmother was admitted to the hospital this afternoon after experiencing flu-like symptoms. The doctor said that it was a kidney infection that had spread throughout her body. The admitted her to the ICU after her blood pressure wouldn't stabilze. Her plattelete counts were dropping so they moved her to the city hospital. My aunt called an hour or so ago to say that the doctor's don't think that Meme will make it for more than a few hours. The blessing is that things have moved quickly so she hasn't suffered much.

As I type this, my aunt just called to say that she had passed. We will be heading down to Oklahoma tomorrow sometime and the family still in St. Louis will drive down then or on Sunday. Please pray for safe travels for all those heading to OK this weekend and and for comfort for the family. She leaves 4 daughters, 1 son, 1 step-daughter, 1 foster daughter, 4 son-in-laws, 13 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a large circle of friends. I am comforted by the fact that she will be in a better place and home again with my beloved Papa. Her name is Ruth McCormick Blesie and she was 74 years old, still substitute teaching and working afterschool and the local elementary school.

Bless you all and I'll be in touch,
Tia

Oh Tia!!!

I am so so sorry!!:grouphug: :grouphug:

:grouphug: :grouphug: I'm so sorry for your loss Tia. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Well it is 3:00 am and I can finally say that I'm going to Disney World!

I found my Guest of Honor badge. I don't know how I could do Disney without it. I printed out a few transfers (mostly dark and I did them the right way this time)  I printed out cast member appreciation cards for the family. My son won't use them, so I only printed him one page. I know my DGD will use hers. They are all Tinkerbell.:tink:

I found the ornament I bought you for Christmas Terry!:tinker:

I am packed. I will be ready to leave the house at 7:30am. I'm so glad we didn't spend the night at the airport this time. My DD and I both had to work today, and just didn't get everything done. Hey, we've only been planning for a year!!:cloud9:

As I was going over all of my papers, I noticed that all of the confirmations I'd received from Disney were from the DVC. No confirmation for Pop! I was on the phone with CRO until 10:35pm. I now have confirmation numbers and park ticket numbers. And the name of a CM that never stopped looking.   The fact that Disney closed at 10:00 didn't deter her. She is top notch and I will be sending an email to let them know!!

I sure hope I have everything I need. I will fax in my grocery order from Pop. I'm making it up and will finish it on the plane.:cloud9:

:grouphug: :grouphug: to all in need.:wizard: :wizard: to all in need. I'll see you real soon.:dance3:

Tia - I am so sorry to hear this. Please travel safely. :grouphug:

I washed most of our new blank t-shirt (I missed a few that were in a different location. I also printed one design, but didn't find the time to iron them on yet. I also worked on the scrapbook. I thought that I had bought enough supplies to do a 100 page book, but I was mistaken. When the package says 12 pages that means 6 protectors and 6 sheets of paper so you get 12 pages if you do front and back :sad2: I only want to print on one side. When we get back I will scrap photos on colored paper and place those on the opposite page. So off to Ebay I went. I found a cool 8x8 scrapbook with Mickey on it which I had to have even though I already had a plain one :rolleyes1 and I bought another 120 pages. So far I have printed 58 pages and have another 114 to go :scared1: I know that we will not get all those autographes this trip, but they are either characters that we have seen on past trips or ones that we know are now out and about. It will be something to work at for years to come :thumbsup2

I feel like I made headway on this rainy day. It was very slow at work, but between Wednesday and Tonight I made my weekly Disney savings goal so all is good.

Sounds like another busy day for you, Deb. Good job on the shirts and scrapbook, but even better on the Disney Fund Deposit. :thumbsup2

HAVE A BLAST, STEPHANIE!! :thumbsup2

Are we there yet, Tammi? ;)

Alyssa's Cinderella dress...........

So I guess I will be buying her a new princess dress. At least it's something that is easily attainable.

Oh no! I'm glad it is easily attainable, and you were considering buying one anyway. I hope that's the only glitch, and the rest of your trip is magical! Maybe I'll see you all soon! :goodvibes

Anyone want to see a couple of the places we are going and hotels and inns that Chanon booked for me for our California Anniversary trip??? Even if you don't I am posting the links! ;)

Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks

Carmel-by-the-Sea

PasoRoblesInn I have a friend who is a winemaker in this area. We are going to visit with him and his daughter who is a former student of mine. She is now a piano performance major at San Diego State University.

Inn by the Harbor Santa Barbara

and, of course.... DISNEYLAND!

Wow! Elin, that sounds wonderful! I'm glad Bob is going with you, and it's turning into such a lovely trip.

Oh, Tia! :grouphug: Your family will be in my prayers, and all the families involved with the wedding as well.

Thanks Deb, for posting!

Thanks for the prayers everyone. You hate to admit things like this, but Meme was by far my favorite grandparent. I was her first grandchild and she always took time to tell me that I had a special place in her heart. It may be a long day, but I'm doing okay. I had a rough night's sleep between the heartache and a small-town motel bed. Today, I have to tell Terra about Meme and I don't know how I'm going to get through that.

We are headed out to the lake to help set up for the wedding in a little while so at least we'll all be busy. The wedding family is not related, but the bride's parents have known mine for so long that they were close to my grandma as well.

Terra and I may stay on in OK for a little while, depending on what is needed there. Since we have no committments at home, I want to be available if needed. My computer access may be sporadic, but I'll pop in when I can.

Thank you all! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Steffy - I am sure you are gone by now, but your DGD is in my thoughts. I can't even imagine how hard this must be for here :grouphug:

Wow! Elin, that sounds wonderful! I'm glad Bob is going with you, and it's turning into such a lovely trip.

Thanks, Jennifer! We booked a room at the Wuksachi Lodge this morning for our first night. It is in the middle of Sequoia National Park. The views are just stunning and we can hardly wait now!

Baseball games for me today! Riley has a game at noon & Garrett's is at 7 tonight. In between games I need to go to the grocery store & do some other shopping.

I got laundry done yesterday & the house cleaned(well clean enough ;) ).

so what is everyone up to this weekend?
