Purchase a large zippered 3 ring binder. I found some for about $10 at Walmart in the section with the notebooks and student folders.

Purchase sheets 9" X 12" sheets of craft foam and felt. I found them in the craft section at Walmart. I used 4 sheets of craft foam and 5 sheets of felt.

I made a template of the hole pattern to make it easier to make the holes uniform a 3 hole punch would work even better, but I didn't have one. The craft foam (the kind that is like a really think sheet of paper) punches really easily. The felt was more difficult as the punch wouldn't go through it. I ended up using a pair of sharp mini scissors to poke holes in the felt.

Once all the holes are made it is time to assemble the book. Start with a sheet of felt then the craft foam. Continue this pattern ending with a piece of felt. The craft foam is to stick the pins through, the felt is to protect the pins.

Here are some photos.

It was a very easy project. I am also making a mini version to take to the parks to house the kids traders. They do not do well with the lanyards and have lost several that way. I will use a different color foam for each kid and they will know which ones they have to trade.

neat idea Deb

While I was down in Rehoboth I went to the LL Bean store. I was looking at the rolling duffle bags. They were returned and they all had initials on them, or so I thought. I found one without initials on it and I bought it for a lot less than it would have cost me by ordering it from the catalog. It was marked $69.95 at the outlet store plus I had a 20% off coupon so it was a little over $50 and change. Through the catalog it is $99.95, plus tax and shipping. That is my only complaint about having an LL Bean store now in the state of PA, I must pay sales tax on stuff.

Color Lime Green, let me tell you I won't have a problem finding it at the airport.:thumbsup2 Actually I have liked the color lime green before I knew about these boards, I just found it ironic it was the only one without initials.

That's me, too...also dust and hops, though I haven't been tested since high school.

I didn't realize that our tree pollen had started up, but on Saturday my eyes started burning and itching. I also have this weird thing where I smell something like stale smoke when my allergies are acting up (I can't really describe it, but it is annoying), and that started Saturday, too. The smell isn't bad today, but my eyes are gritty. It's been storming here, so the pollen probably isn't too bad right now.

Beth

Beth,

I can emphatize with the stale smoke smell. I have not had any more times but one where the smell of smoke just stays up in my sinuses.
I get the spring and fall allergies now. Just wanna take my eyes out and clean them!!! Dust, molds, mildew.
Smells---awful perfumes, cleaners, smoke, some paints, car exhaust, whatever they use to lay carpet, room deodorizers----just anything that smells bad :lmao:

It sounds like you are correct, you need to move very soon. It is no longer a good environment for your family to be in. If I were in your shoes I would take a second job to make the extra money that you need to get out. Of course I'm already working 2 part time jobs :rotfl:

Karen. I'm sorry that you're having mother issues. I also had issues with my mother, but we get along great noew that we live apart. If I had a great idea for a work at home job I would have done it years ago. :wizard: :wizard: Good luck planning your future.
thats funny because she and i had a good relationship when i was away at college. i guess our relationship will be great when i move out for good. lol

I got a beautiful bright purple bag before we went to DC last year....lots of pink cases but only one purple one!! I like the offbeat colors for luggage...even on a full plane there isn't usually more than just yours there!!

Dust, mold, mildew, grass, tree pollen, bleach, perfumes, CATS, flower pollen, spray cleaners, bug spray, automotive exhaust, roofing materials, paint, nail polish remover, chemical they use to lay tile and carpet, paint thinner, ammonia, ragweed, tobacco, roses and feathers. I know I’m missing something, but it’s early.

24 more days people!!!! 24 more days!!!!

Stephanie,

don't forget smoke too

I am here at work getting the attendence done for last week. The administrative office is closed, so it is very quiet :goodvibes
Today got colder after a high of 70 yesterday. I even had the AC on in the car---private summers :lmao:
This weekend looks like it will be cold too.

have a good day everyone :grouphug:

This wasn't my idea. I saw it on a thread somewhere. I thought it was a good idea and made several.

I had made something similar a few years back using just the felt sheets, with a half size zipped binder. I don't even know that I have it anymore as I wasn't using it anymore. I may have to create another one though, if I decide to trade any pins on my cruise.

:thumbsup2
We always stay at POFQ.

probably dec 2 thru dec 9. as we would go the wed after thanksgiving thru the following wed. as crowds were not too bad. defineteally staying at port orleans french quarter this time and renting a car.

I love that idea for the pin binder. I bought a small one at Disney (maybe 5x7?) & it got filled up real fast!

We just home from Katie's follow up appointment at the Dr. She still has strep!!:headache: So now she is on another antibiotic.
It is pouring like mad here & chilly. After the Dr's, I took the kids to McDonalds for lunch. I got a happy meal (cheeseburger, apple slices, & diet coke) so I stayed within my WW's points.:thumbsup2

Jeff and I stayed their on our honeymoon and loved it. We stayed at Caribean beach this time as their were no rooms available their with the discount that came out. We did not like Caribean beach as much as we liked POFQ

Hi Ann Marie,
:wizard: for Katie that she gets well soon.

good job on staying within your Points.

Poor Terry  guess I need to add you to the list.

As far as I know I'm not allergic to perfums and the like but with Asthma they bother me anyway.

Becky, :yay: on the lime green luggage.
Is Delware state tax higher, lower or the same as ours?

Ann Marie, pixiedust: that Katie's strep goes away soon.

:yay: for keeping within WW points, even with McDonald's.

I have a large Disney Pin trader book, that I no longer use.
If anyone would like it, all I ask is that you pay the shipping and its yours.

I had it completly full so I had to put more then one pin per square, so there are extra pin holes, but it is still usable.

I now have all my pins displayed on a large corkboard, will have to take a picture and post it.

They have no sales tax on any merchandise, hence the reason I bought my laptop there. I figure I was gonna buy one sometime soon anyways, may as well save a few bucks. Although they have tax on hotel rooms. I have heard overall state tax rates are not that bad. A lot of this is due to some of the companies in the state like DuPont which add lots of money into the state. At least this is what I have heard.

Tammi, Beth, Stephanie, Marci, Ann Marie

Imagine, if its this bad now, we are in serious trouble when Spring is in full swing.

Yes, it seems like a bad year. The "smell" is back and driving me nuts. My eyes feel gritty and foggy. But at least the postnasal drip isn't too bad at the moment.
