The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 20

I'm headed to bed to finish my Peter & the Shadow Thieves book. I only have about 10 pages left.

I wanted to let you know that my day actually went very well. It was just one stupid email that set me off tonight. It stated some incorrect things and made accusations that my team didn't follow the procedures which is totally not true. We have been covering for this woman and it really bothered me that she was placing blame on my team with the clients.

So I am handing in my vacation request tomorrow for September 7-23, 2007. I have been booked on back to back Magic cruises since last April 2006. Send some my way that they approve my request. I am concerned that they will tell me I can't take that much time off at once. I can also go the route of take one week vacation and one week without pay. If I can't I can always submit it for just the one cruise and do something else another week. Hence booking the two different cruises instead of the repo Mediterranean cruise like I originally wanted to. Who knows if I will still be working there till September, but I gotta find out if I can go so I can start planning essential details.

That's what DH said, too. He is REALLY fed up with my bosses coming in late all the time. It has always been a problem, but the past couple of weeks it has been rampant. In one week they were a combined total of 3 hours late. One night Momboss was an hour late. Dadboss was 35 minutes late on a night I specifically told them I HAD to leave ON TIME. They just can NOT manage to make it home on time, and it is getting old. I am early or on time EVERY morning. I have been late once in 3 years because I was stuck in traffic. Between the 2 of them you would think ONE of them could come home ON TIME. They always say "sorry", but they aren't REALLY sorry or it wouldn't KEEP HAPPENING!

I never did reschedule that interview. I was sick, then MLK day, then ice storm, then buying the new car. I did call and tell the agency that I am still planning to come in, just not immediately. Probably after we get home from WDW. They don't have any jobs I want to interview for anyway.

I had a feeling we would have problems on the days she has to go straight to an activity after school. I was right! I should really look into starting up that psychic hotline...

Your right if they were sorry they would try changing their behavior.

I hope a job pops up soon!!

its so much fun having my family here , although i have been exhausted all day! I have a feeling i will be until they leave Sunday!
Not sure if ill check in tomorrow morning, as we have family coming in at 6am, so itll be another long day!

Tia - When DS was little he did Gymboree once a week and had a play group once a week. He went to preschool 2 mornings when he was 2, three mornings when he was 3 and 4. I was a Gymboree teacher so his classes were free.

The kids at my last job had some activity, lesson, or therapy (speech, OT) EVERY day. The play therapist who was supposed to be helping them with the divorce said they were way overscheduled and needed to cut back, but their mom never did try to simplify the schedule. Even with some of the therapists and the piano teacher coming to the house it was too much.

There REALLY is not some huge prize for the parent who can enroll their kid in the most stuff.

See, I could totally go with your schedule for DS. We did plenty of playgroup stuff, but all informal get together with friend, rarely costing any money stuff. These EVERY day things drive me crazy. It is like they are trying for some prize and in the end too often they just end up with worn out, burnt out kids. I wish parents could just see that and know when to cut back.

Wow you were all chatty tonight, but I am caught up.

Glynis, I actually finished the book I started today.
I knew I would, when I finally get to reading I don't know enough to stop. Reading is why I wear glasses, I would just read and read never stopping except for the bathroom and I severely strained my eyes.

Last nights book was Edge Of Evil, by J.A. Jance

Tonight's book was The Presence, by Heather Graham
If you like suspense then look for this book, it is very good.

Maybe a recipe would help!

APPLE CRISP

6 medium apples
3-4 tbsp. sugar
cinnamon



Topping:

1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. oatmeal

Peel, core and quarter apples. Place apples in a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
Mix all topping ingredients together until crumbly. If mixture is too dry , add more butter. Sprinkle over apples, until all apples are covered. Make more topping if needed.

Bake at 375°F for 40 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

I know I said I did not know where my wedding pics were at but I just saw this one and thought I would share.

This is the picture that ran for the newspaper announcement and it is in black and white. I did not have a typical wedding gown. My gown was pink and white and I wore a hat and not a veil. We got married in his aunts beautiful flower garden. Boy does this bring back memories.
