Ok, I'm going to print out my packing list and get busy!

You look beautiful, Tia. I like the bridesmaids dresses.

Thanks. :goodvibes I was afraid that the dress wasn't going to fit. We picked it out a couple of weeks after the Vegas wedding (they were about 3.5 months apart) and then found out I was pregnant a few weeks after that. By the time the ceremony came around, I wasn't sure that it was going to fit as I was just beginning to show. Luckily, it did, though barely!

Tia, I love all the pictures, you were a beautiful bride, and I think that might be the first time I've seen a picture of Phil.

Not many of them exist. There are more pictures of him in our wedding pictures than in all the rest of them combined. He usually insists that I keep him out of the shot.

Alrighty, then. As soon as I get rid of the extra kid we having running around our house my sister's friend is going to cut my hair. I guess that means I had better get a shower so I'm off. Happy Saturday everyone!

I hope today finds you feeling better, Anne Marie. I am definitely having my turn at the cold that is making its rounds.

Tammi - you better not need me to watch the kids on Monday morning! I would probably get them sick for the trip. :sad2:

I slept almost 8 hours last night thanks to the Nyquil and sheer exhaustion. I am probably going to climb back into bed and try to read since I fell asleep with the book on my face last night. :rotfl:

I can never fall asleep with a book on my face...that's probably why when I like a book and want to finish it....I'm up to all hours of the night!!:rolleyes1

For those who are feeling under the weather :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Debbie - loved your pictures. I would never have guessed that cake was homemade! It looks like a pro did it.

Thanks Tammi,

Mom and I used to make wedding cakes together. I'll have to find one of my SIL's that we made, it is similar to yours. I haven't tried to make one since mom passed away and I don't think that I ever will.

Tammi - The kids look like they are going to really enjoy having PM visit! And imagine how thrilled they will be when they learn where they will be taking him! I am getting antsy about telling DS about our trip, but I know if I tell him that he won't accomplish anything at school between now and then. 9 school days is just too many for him to be distracted. So I'll try to keep it a secret.:rolleyes1

We have managed to gather up all the Christmas knick knacks, and we have started on the tree. But DH decided to have a snack so our efforts have been temporarily derailed. I need to decide if I want to put ALL of my ornaments in storage. I am paranoid that something will happen to them. Of course I ALWAYS hear about apartments being on fire, not storage units. Maybe I should put some in storage and keep some at home, that way I wouldn't lose ALL of them in case something did happen.

Ugh....I've been trying to pack, but with this weather, I feel like I am taking everything! I'm not so bad, but for the kids I'll need 3 short sleeved shirts, 3 long sleeves, sweatshirts, a pair of shorts, long pants, pullovers, etc etc. The only thing I've been able to do is lay out the undies, socks and ponchos. I give up. I'm not an "ahead of time packer". I can't do it until the day before.

That was the hard part of the December trip. I thought it was going to be cold, then I ended up tossing in short sleeves at the last minute. As always, we brought WAY too much stuff. And I really want to do just carry-ons this time around so I need to pack smart. Not a good area for me - I usually pack the maximum allowable # of bags. We just lost a lot of time waiting to claim bags when we got home last time, and DH will have to work the next morning so we need to get home quickly.

Take care of yourself. Start popping the Airborne.

I am... also went back to sleep for a couple of hours this morning too. Now, I am not certain if I can starve this cold, as I am really hungry and I don't want to get out of my warm flannel pants and fleece top. Maybe we can have lupper (lunch/supper) delivered.

So I've been putzing around the house this morning trying to figure out what I'm going to do today since the kids aren't here. Then it dawned on me..........

I NEED TO PACK!!!!!!

Duh! Blond moment.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: hope you are getting it all done!

ETA: I see you are not... oh well, you will next Thursday night!

  What a good guy.

Chris's side of the closet is clean too. Oh yeah, I cleaned it. he is a pack rat, me not so much.

Alan's a pack rat, too! Inherited from his mother, I think. She's got a whole storage unit filled with junk that she buys from yard sales, etc., and then never looks at again.

Sounds like a good night for Chinese food.

just wanted to point out that i am crazy! its 1:30am and i am sitting here doing homework! I got home around midnight i guess and wasnt tired so i put some laundry in, and now im finishing my homework..Im the only person i nthe world doing homework at 130 in the morning on a weekend!
But i guess ill be happy when i have nothing to do tomorrow!

So what is everyone's plans for the weekend?!

Well, we got up early and cleaned our garage. Then I took Katie and Jacob out for pizza (they got Book It! coupons from school), now Im relaxing, and later Alan is taking me out for dinner for my birthday. My actual birthday is on Monday, but he has to work, so tonight is our celebration!

Glynis - I am really enjoying "The Autobiography of Santa Claus" and want to read the one about the Mrs. now too. Any idea who wrote it or what the title was? I don't think Jeff Guinn did it and haven't had any luck hunting it down.

Yup. Same author. Jeff Guinn. I think it's called "How Mrs. Claus Saved Christmas". There's another one, too, but I haven't read it, yet. I just found it at Costco.

I'm glad you liked the book. I thought it was so fun, and very historical too.

Hi :goodvibes

Glynis, loved every word of your trip report. I know you probably said it in the first one, but where was the house you were staying at? Sounds wonderful!

I'm way back around 6404. I'm getting ready to go to see Baby K for his first birthday :cake: party: No greetings please, as I will NEVER show my son this thread.

Yesterday was Kevin's 70th birthday. :cake: party:

I'M IN DOUBLE DIGITS!!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

TTYL:love:

We rented a house in Kissimmee. It was really close to the parks. From our driveway to the parking lot at Epcot was about 10 minutes. They advertised 5, but I knew that was impossible. I was pleased with 10. Alan found in on www.vrbo.com (at least I think that's the website). We were really pleased with it. It was so clean, and just what we needed!
