Ok, here's part 2 of my marathon trip report.


We hit mile 13 in Epcot, and I couldn't believe that I only had a tenth of a mile to go! I really had prepared myself to be swept, or to have to stop for some reason. I was beginning to hurt, though. My left hip was beginning to throb, and when Scott suggested we jog the last little bit, I had to beg off. So, he left, promising to wait for me at the finish line cheering me on! So, I was alone. It was amazing to see the finish line stretching out ahead of me, and hear the crowd cheering! Scott was waiting for me, cheering loudly, and as I crossed the finish line, I broke into tears! I had done it!!! I didn't think I really would do it, but I did!!! I felt so good!!! Scott just held me for a minute and let me cry!

This is so wonderful Glynis. Just wonderful. I loved every word. You inspire me...

If it gets unbearable I will take something, but I don't want to diminish the symptoms, so he gets an accurate picture of what is going on. As long as I don't force my jaw to it's "normal" position I'm ok. I just sort of have to smoosh things around in my mouth to eat.

My DD has to wear a mouth guard at night. Seems she grinds her teeth. I think it's stress. Hope they can fix you up soon...

We had a good dinner tonight, a sloppy joe based casserole topped with tater tots. The kids gave it the seal of approval, so I guess I'll keep the recipe!

After dinner, we played a game as a family, then read some stories and got the kids in bed. Jacob is having a ball reading the Magic Treehouse books, and is on book number 3. He's reading them out loud to me, and is so proud that he can actually read chapter books by himself. Katie and I are reading The Goose Girl and it is so good! I almost hate to stop reading each night.

After Deb's suggestion I got a few of the Magic Treehouse books at the library. Nicholas finished his first last night, Dolphins at Daybreak. We are doing the same thing. He reads one chapter a night out loud to me.

Would you mind posting your casserole recipe?

We finally have snow today! ALOT of snow! Our area is expecting 1/2 inch each hour; about an hour north they are estimating 3 inches each hour. I guess I have to find some gloves!
